I don't have a problem with constructive negative feedback, but the internet is an echo chamber for flat out complainers (karens) looking for validation from other complainers.
I have a 5800X3D, 32 GB of RAM 3600, a 6800XT Strix LC and SAM is enabled but Streets is barely playable for me. I often dip below 50 fps. It usually hovers in the high 70s, low 80s if I don't use my scope. I play at low settings 3440 x 1440 res.
a lot of UWQHD users have been telling me that performance is a lot worse than 16:9 QHD, maybe those extra pixels are pulling down the performance more than i expected
@@pyurologie What's weird it's that 16 GBs of VRAM should be enough. I'm thinking that the memory modules on the card are too slow and I need to switch to Nvidia because I was convinced my CPU wasn't cutting it but watching your videos show that the 5800X3D doesn't really bottleneck recent GPUs.
yeah, i think you're onto something. The same way that the fast L3 cache has done wonder for performance, I bet faster memory on the GPU side would help things as well. Tarkov needs high memory bandwidth due to how much its CPU bound and the amount of assets/RNG it's always calculating in and out as you move through different draw distances and areas

For whatever reason, people refuse to turn down the settings on games. If you ask me, users with higher-end machines have more reason to complain when a game like Tarkov or Hogwarts Legacy or something is having performance problems on overpowered hardware. On mid-range PCs, in a lot of games you can get similar performance with some graphics adjustments and not even notice the difference.

Love your videos, but when your only "solution" is to upgrade your system, maybe everyone is right to complain. Also everyone has their own definition for playable. Some people are fine with playing a game on the lowest graphics with 30-60 fps. But others see playable as at least 144 fps with minimal frame drops while playing on medium to high settings. Also I think it's okay for people to complain or criticize a game that they paid for, especially if it is a big issue.
Thanks for your response. I get where you're coming from. I'm not saying you don't have a right to complain, I'm just saying I disagree with it. Gaming's a luxury, and if your rig's got some mileage on it (like the setup I showed here, 6 year old CPU and GPU that was entry level BACK THEN), I don't think it's fair to gripe about struggling with the biggest map in a super complex game with the most assets, other maps still run fine. Sure, you've got the right to air your grievances, but personally, I just disagree. If dropping $200 on an upgrade for PC gaming is too much, I get it. That's unfortunate, but expecting top-notch performance on aging hardware seems like a stretch to me. At the end of the day, if the game's not running well on your system, there are plenty of other titles out there like you said. No one's twisting your arm to stick with it. I never said you don't have the right, I just completely disagree.
