You're the guy. Tarkov has been needing a guy like you for a long time. There is no content about performance with this level of details and giving so much information about what parts you can change to improve your performance. I got my hands on a 5800x3d and this thing is a beast for Tarkov. I'm definetely jumping to a 7800x3d in a few years.
just went from a 2600x to a 5800x3d and i already know what im getting when I jump to am5 in a few years (so far, at least). just saw youe videos while looking for reviews and love your no bs approach, nothing but honest and useful info. keep it up man!
sell it used and buy a 7800x3d you have no idea how powerful this cpu is i get 80-90 frames on streets with that cpu and a 2070 super. Imagine if i had a better card. i can also play other AAA games on ultra at same fps no problem
@@davidigleniec2483 I'm gpu bound with a 6600, works fantastic, ignore the goober above lol. no issues other than heat runs at like 80c under load, if you are upgrading an old am4 pc it's worth it but if new I'd get something current gen
Just finished my 7800X3D w/ 7800XT 32GB 6000 CL30 system. Unbelievable to see 130-140 frames in Streets on QHD without any upscaling :) Because of your videos I decided to get a new system. Thank you for your time and videos man! Helped me alot.
@@eb2558 damn bro, this was 8 months ago. I do not remember anymore. With this wipe I get 80-120fps max on Streets. I did upgrade my 7800XT to a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900XT. Hopefully, when they can utilize Unity 2022, they can improve performance on Streets (not right away ofc but with some time and effort). Every other map runs fine.
Wish I would have seen this a bit sooner, still great info. Just ordered all the parts to do a budget upgrade to get me into a 2K resolution for Tarkov and Squad. Coming from my old i6700k / GTX 1080 playing at 1080P, and while surprisingly still playable at high-ish settings I wanted better resolution to spot targets at distance more easily. Opted for a Ryzen 5600 and 6700 XT since it was the best value to performance ratio I could find. Hoping to achieve 80-90fps at high settings with 2K. Came out to just about $1100 for a whole new PC including new Windows OS. Just couldn't justify the $600 price jump to a 7800x3d and 7800 XT for a 20% increase in performance. Either way I think I will be satisfied with the cost and performance coming from a now 8 year old computer. Thanks for the video!
just catching this comment now, but as a secondary option, 5600X3D and 5700X3D perform amazingly in Tarkov and do well in Squad from my testing. 5600 still sell on the used market for a decent price. 5600X3D (if you have a microcenter nearby) or 5700X3D will boost Tarkov performance by 20-30% and after selling 5600, you could get one for under $200. Just something that came to my mind as I was reading this. I built this entire setup with PC, monitor, keyboard and mouse for $900. This thing is a 1080 monster and 1440 beast with FSR: ruclips.net/video/7SK65pkJISw/видео.html
People drop insane amounts of money on rigs, high end rigs still complain about 60 fps. Here it is simple and easily understandable for even less tech savvy people. 👍
this is amazing work, thank you! i’m currently on an i5 13600k, 32gb of 3200mhz ram and a 3070; i get around 90 fps max on night streets with everything low and optimized. i’ve bee searching around for an upgrade, money not being an issue. thank you for your work! i now know what to look for and how i’m going to approach my upgrades!
also, would a 7800x3d or a 7900x3d yield more frames? it sounds like an obvious question but based off of your other testing videos, i am not unsure what my next processor should be
Damn lmao, almost pulled the trigger on the 7900xtx too. Didn’t realize the 7800x3d would give another 60 fps over the 5800x3d. Glad I caught this, I’ll probably just go AM5 and wait for the 8000 series cards.
@@pyurologie No, thank you! You're videos saved me $1600. Don't even need to get the 7800x3d / 7900xtx now. Went from running streets at 60-80 fps with fsr2 and medium textures (looking like dog shit,) to running it at 85-130 with fsr off and high textures. OC'd the gpu and went to OC the ram and saw that at some point my xmp got turned off.
5600x and 6900XT user here, I'm really chugging streets. The processor is letting me down. Going to switch it to 5800X3D as soon as I can because if I get lower than 80FPS I feel like it's a slideshow... Even with your setup it's impressive to me that you could get 100+ frames nearly all the time..
Even with 5800x3d Streets won't be buttery smooth. It'll be playable, mostly 90+ fps, but during certain situations and looking in some directions it'll drop to 70s
With 5800x3D, Streets is unplayable if you are an fps shooter used to 144-240 fps. It’s not even the dps that’s the issue. At times it’s processing chunks of information and will cause serious stutter. Forget about 4x zoom use in Streets also. That said, I absolutely love my 5800x3d for tarkov on all other maps. Made around 40% increase on all maps from 5600x.
@@chonkiboii So you had a 5600X as well! Nice. Glad to know my upgrade can be feasible. I'm a new player, started last month and yeah, experienced 30 fps yesterday on Streets when I looked into the 4x scope... Felt so horrible I switched it to iron sights.. I built this pc last year just so I wanted to play Tarkov and modded Skyrim+Stalker, and for Tarkov I'm amazed at how horrible it runs. I wonder how the guys with budget 3060 GPUs and older cpu users are doing... It must be hell.
@@user-dh9id1hz8k Yeah my motherboard can only support AM4 so this is the last upgrade I can do before switching the whole motherboard to DDR5. Best to just wait 2 more years for that kind of upgrade. Even better, Nikita decides on improving the optimization. A game that looks as outdated as Tarkov shouldn't be meant for High end 2023 PCs.
@@Saturnit3 many chads I know play on 1080ti just fine as VRAM amount is crucial for tarkov. Get Process Lasso software, look up how to set it up for tarkov. That’s the one most impactful thing you can do aside from buying 3D cpu. Good luck man! Hope you have a good time regardless!
Ty as always for great video! Cuz of your tests I've upgraded from 5800x to 5800X3D. Got some giftcards from my company so eventually I've payed 150 euros for it and gave away old 5800X to my friend cuz he is also on AM4. Couldn't order 4080 Super or some XTX because they won't fit in my case and also I'd need to upgrade PSU.
yup.. and also its not always 100.. sometimes is 80.. and when i use 4x go to 50 fps sometimes. sterets its like 60 fps and when I aim go to 40@@gandalfdafavela1044

thank you for the video could you mind linking what cpu cooler you used in this build I can't get the description to load for me on this video I don't know why
Completely agree on a better monitor. It's one of the most overlooked upgrades a PC player can do that can make the biggest difference. Going to 4k, HDR around 27-32 inches has been an incredible upgrade.
Finally, always wondered how AMD GPU's perform in EFT - been bouncing between either the 7900XT (since used they can be had for a steal) or the 6900/6950XT since new $550 at MC and I can find blocks to watercool. Just want a card that will last like my 1080Ti has and will roll through 1440p.
Yes, I've found the AMDs give a lot more per dollar than the Green counterparts at the same price. 6950XT is my personal favorite GPU, amazing value and will be on the higher end of the GPU hierarchy for a while
I just watched your video and I was wondering if you could maybe do another pc build video for this setup since im new to building pcs and Id like to make something similar to yours 😅

so I watched a bunch of your vids and I decided to switch to AMD and I got the 7800 x3d and the 7900 XT. Do you have a video where you go over your settings in the adrenaline software and not just the setting in Tarkov? Im a complete AMD n00b request assistance. thanks
Does resizable bar make a difference? and whats the part of the pc that most influence the FPS in tarkov? and L3, L2 or L1 cache, whats better for tarkov?
@@pyurologie everything works great just had some issues with screen flickering. I uninstalled the adrenaline drivers and just let windows 11 do the install.
@pyurologie Ok. I am very bad at eng but don't want to use tranlator. My point is to make a best PC at 1080p. I love to play cs (6k hr and 10lvl faceit) and my finish goal is 360 hz monitor. So i want to ask some professionals who can explain me what gear is the best to make my 144+ fps DREAM PC I prefer to make a 4070 super or ti with next new 8gen amd (8800x3d). Share you're opinion. Thanks!
First of all, I want to tell you that I love your Videos. Very well-made and informative. I have been following your content for about a month now. Because I want to get started on my very first build, I have to ask you a question about your choice of GPU. Would it not make more sense to go for one of the newer 7600 xt cards for like 350 bucks instead of spending 500-900 cash for a 6950 xt? Does it have to do with power consumption like u told in the video? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm very much a newbie to PC builds. Thank you for your videos!
thanks so much for your kind words, means a lot. Sure, if you want to make a budget conscious build that would make a lot of sense, especially because tarkov doesn't need a hefty GPU. This video was showing the minimum build to max out tarkov in 1440p. I actually have a mid budget build video coming up with the best value in mind while still getting awesome performance. On the 7600XT, i personally can't recommend it. 16GB at this level looks better on paper than 8GB does, but it's not gonna affect much in the range its meant to be used in. The 6600XT/6650XT have been and are still the best "budget" options for GPU in my opinion. Their performance is not budget for sure. If you want to buy new, I would personally go for a RX7600 non XT over the XT and spend elsewhere or pocket the extra cash
Just wanna say thank you for all the efforts you put into your videos🎉! It helped me so much finding the right parts for tarkov. One more question tho. I’m pretty sold on you build right now, but if I do 1440p all time and also stream tarkov, would it be worth to get 7900xtx? Or the only upgrade would just be 4090?
i love to hear that, really glad to know. Yeah, a 6950XT level card can stream, record and game on decent settings without issue. In order to max out settings, you need a dedicated 2nd machine anyways, going up a GPU still wouldn't get you to max stream settings. So, if you do wanna max out settings, I'd put it towards a dedicated stream/record machine. The specs on that machine do not need to be crazy at all. Otherwise, single PC setups are usually fine these days. Here's my Single PC Streaming/Recording Testing playlist with various setups from budget to enthusiast level: ruclips.net/video/wFa9bPG_KFU/видео.html&pp=gAQBiAQB
Love the videos but I'm not getting nearly the same frames with your settings, I have a 7800x3d + 7900XT + 32gb RAM, matched your settings and setup videos. I'm getting roughly 80 frames on Streets on 1440P. Any suggestions?

thanks so much for the encouragement. I did a comparison here: ruclips.net/video/KAhbt1I_a7g/видео.html. basically, they're equal in gaming with a very very slight edge to 7800X3D due to its simpler architecture
But would you genuinely recommend using FMF? I personally don’t have AMD GPU, but I have tried Frame Generation in other games, including Warzone. It is amazing for single player games, but it feels so horrible in competetive fps games. That extra input lag is extremely annoying. My friend is a very good Tarkov player, as sweaty as it can get. He owns 6800XT, he tried FMF and said it’s an absolute dogshit (sorry for my wording, I’m just quoting what he said 😅). He says he would rather play with low FPS that with FMF.
i would only use it if you are already getting 100+ FPS or so. Then, it feels fine for me to play on. Otherwise, I start to feel the extra input lag to a point where I wouldn't use it.
Hey man, love your videos! Do you think it is worth it to upgrade to a 7800X3D from an I5-13600k? I saw your earlier video where it seemed like the overclocked 13600k was matching the 5800X3D.
Hey man this video is a bit old so idk if you check you video back but it would be nice if you could tell me if upgrading my cpu from i7 10700 to i7 13700kf is worth it (paired with a rtx 3070) it seems like my cpu is the bottleneck
Would love a 1440p test with this setup. Do you foresee the new amd cpus worth waiting for later this year? I already get 100 ish avg fps on streets but I have a 1440p 240hz oled monitor and I would love to get as much as possible without being in a super huge rush if it’s worth waiting
I get a lot of information from your videos , i decided cpu 7800x3d. but I'm hesitant about a graphic card. What would be a good cost-effective graphic card ? 7800xt or 6950xt or 4070 series for only tarkov. It's hard to decide because you are the best in both 4070 and 6950xt
personally, if you are ok finding a good used card, I would get a 6950XT over anything today pretty much. If you wanna buy new, 7800XT or 7900GRE is what I would get. 4070 non super is probably my recommendation if you want nvidia. All great options.
"Quick" question, I currently have a 13900k paired with a 4070 Ti Super and 16 gbs of DDR5. I've had this system for a year or so and I just don't get the FPS I want on Streets specifically. I know this is probably to soon to switch CPU's but I'm considering "downgrading" grading my cpu to the 7800x3d or even the 7950x3d. Tarkov isn't the only game I play but it is the main game. I saw your video comparing both the 7950x3d and the 7800x3d and unless I misunderstood, the 7800x3d did roughly 10% better. Would you consider switching from my setup over to the 7800x3d? I currently play at 1440p on medium to low settings and average 80-90 fps.
RAID 1. Still no 2x 1TB 4.0 NVMe.M.2 in RAID 1? You get 5.0 NVMe. speeds for half the cost and half the heat, and still retain the same storage size as the 2TB you have. I am using that setup on the B650 and it is EXCELLENT. BIOS RAID is simple and strong, no problems in over a year of mistreatment ;)
i would only use it if you are already getting 100+ FPS or so. Then, it feels fine for me to play on. Otherwise, I start to feel the extra input lag to a point where I wouldn't use it.
Not a dumb question at all. Native resolution means the image is rendered at the resolution you're playing in, like 4K (3840x2160). When I mention 4K upscaling in Tarkov, I'm referring to technologies like FSR or DLSS. These techniques render the image at a lower resolution but use sophisticated algorithms to essentially "stretch" or upscale the image to a higher resolution. This results in higher framerates with minimal visual loss.
@@pyurologie Thats a great explanation! thanks, also one last question how come you choose to go for 64GB instead of the classic 32? is there really any performance difference gaming wise? or you just want the extra ram for multitasking ? :)
something like this: ruclips.net/video/5k3m-_8nMFY/видео.html. I'd say if someone completely trashes one manufacturer or the other, take it with a grain of salt. Intels are good, AMDs are good. Radeon cards are good. GeForce cards are good. Every company is out there to take OUR money, we shouldn't be loyal to a company, we should be loyal to each other as gaming consumers. I find fanboying so odd. Whenever I see someone saying one is so much better than the other, I don't trust it honestly. Every company makes good products, every company makes bad products. I don't care what label is on my equipment, I care how they perform for the purposes I'm using them for. Right now, AMD gives you more for the money as a gamer in CPU and GPUs. Doesn't mean Intel or Nvidia stuff sucks, it's just that you get more with AMD stuff as a gamer.
i totally agree, that video honestly looks way better than i thought it would. will def be looking into an amd card for my next build. i tried the rx5700xt a few years ago when it was new. the quality looked way worse on stream but ive since realized it was due to poor internet upload speed at the time.@@pyurologie

You will run other games smoother with a better card but tarkov will be within the same level of performance. It's the CPU that lets you crank the frames the most. Save a little longer and treat yourself. You're going to be driving that machine for years to come.
if you are ok with finding used, then 3080 10GB, 6800XT are great. New, 4070 or 7800XT. The 4060Ti is still a good card in Tarkov, but it will be behind the ones I listed.

my 13600K isn't far behind my 13900K for tarkov really. The RAM makes more of a difference on my 13th gens. I've seen Tarkov use more than 32 in v0.14 on higher resolutions. 32 is fine, but I do recommend 48-64 now for a higher end build now.
He's right, ram makes a bigger difference. Not just in tarkov either. With 12th gen and later, just going to DDR5 will be more performance than just going to later gen cpu and still having DDR4. Basically a 12900k with ddr5 will perform better than a 13900k with ddr4, it's wild. It's what Im doing myself but honestly if oyu have the funds, just update the cpu as well since you need to upgrade the motherboard for the ram upgrade in the first place.

Is it stupid that i want to go for a Nvidia GPU partly because of Reflex? I know AMD is probably better price/performance but AMDs Anti-Lag just seems so much worse, does it really make a difference? What do you guys think
Nvidia makes awesome products and there's a reason they can charge as much they do. I personally think AMD gives you more for your money, but that doesn't change the fact that Nvidia's products are awesome. You just pay a little premium.
You're the guy. Tarkov has been needing a guy like you for a long time. There is no content about performance with this level of details and giving so much information about what parts you can change to improve your performance. Wow, thanks for the kind words. Means a lot to me. Glad u like the content

It's crazy how ADS still nerfs fps by like 40%
dual rendering, hard to overcome while still being realistic.

Otherwise, single PC setups are usually fine these days.

thanks so much for the encouragement.
I saw your earlier video where it seemed like the overclocked 13600k was matching the 5800X3D.
hmm tough call, i think it will depend on the person and the 13600K setup. its performance can vary a lot depending on the cooling and RAM setup.
What about the inter 14700k? wouldnt that be better instead of the 7800x3d? As it is faster slightly and its the same price.
Hey man this video is a bit old so idk if you check you video back but it would be nice if you could tell me if upgrading my cpu from i7 10700 to i7 13700kf is worth it (paired with a rtx 3070) it seems like my cpu is the bottleneck
yes from 10th to 13th gen you should see a good performance jump

Kind answer I solved all my troubles. Good luck to you@@pyurologie
BIOS RAID is simple and strong, no problems in over a year of mistreatment ;)
i still need to mess with RAID, it's been on my to do list for literally over a year :P thanks for the reminder
Does having FMF on introduce any noticiable input lag?
i would only use it if you are already getting 100+ FPS or so. Then, it feels fine for me to play on. Otherwise, I start to feel the extra input lag to a point where I wouldn't use it.
sorry for a dumb question, but whats the diffrence between 4k upscaling and native 4k?

Doesn't mean Intel or Nvidia stuff sucks, it's just that you get more with AMD stuff as a gamer.
i totally agree, that video honestly looks way better than i thought it would. will def be looking into an amd card for my next build. i tried the rx5700xt a few years ago when it was new. the quality looked way worse on stream but ive since realized it was due to poor internet upload speed at the time.@@pyurologie

pretty much same thing, I just used a 6700XT instead of the 6950XT there. The 6950XT would get even more frames using FMF actually
What would be a good case for this build?
need HELP :) im on 5600x and motherboard that can support 5800x3d but price in me country is 7600x+new motherboard (1400pln) = 5800x3d (1356pln) , im on 16gb and planing to switch to 32gb and prices are similar ddr4 3600cl18 is around 15$ less then ddr5 6000cl30 , so im in a pickle should i take 7600x with future cpus all ready annoced 2nd half of 2024 and new x3d chips coming jan 2025
or buy 5800xd... for games like escpae from tarkov, path of exile, rust, warzone, mw3,anno,civ6 in 1080p maybe switch later to 1440p
hmm i'd have to think some more. 5700X3D was just released yesterday worldwide. Is it marked up for you too?
@@pyurologie , im in tight spot got around 2300pln to spend , and got options :
a.5800x3d + 32gb ram 3600cl18 + paste is 1820pln
b.7600x + 32gb ram 6000cl30 + M/B + New cooler Perless assasin 120 + new paste is 2300pln
c. 7600F + the same as b = 2100pln
d. 5700x3d + 32gb ram 3600cl18 +past = 1600pln
or just stuck to 5600x for another year or so and add just 32 gb ram to it ....
out of all those, i would go for 5700X3D, try on 16GB, then go 32GB if needed.
@@pyurologie i think from all promosed i will take the 7500F , if not need for new cooler price diffrence is 70$ i with it 125$ so if figure out the cooler i get a pc that can match 57/5800x3d in most games exept tarkov xd with future path to update , and after selling all cpu/mb/ram i got allmost left to buy a decent 1440p screen
Would I get the same FPS as the video if I am running a FHD resolution monitor?
yes and probably even a little better
That looks amazing. Is the 7800xt the same level of performance as 6950?
no i have a 7900xtx and my cpu is a 5900x about to get a 7800x3d but on any other game i get like 200fps i get about 198 on warzone on 2k 165 hz
im over clocked to 4.6ghz
I'm wondering since it depends on high cpu clocks, would high end intel be a better choice as a cpu rather than x3d on amd side ?
actually, this game is more dependent on cache than clocks
how about the input lag with the FMF? is it noticable?
What did it cost to run Streets over 60fps average? Everything.
good question i'll see how low i can get it

For the 6950xt is the Powercolor Red Devil the best brand to go with?
Personally i think so. I would only pay extra for a Powercolor Red Devil or Sapphire Nitro model. Otherwise, I would look for best price on any other models.
what would be a good GPU for a 1080p build with the ryzen 7 5800x3d?
personally think the 6600XT/6650XT are the best 1080 cards
I have 7800x3d and 7900xtx with a 2k monitor for tarkov. Do you think process lasso is beneficial for to get more fps in streets? i get around 120 fps unless i scope, then it dips at 80 fps. I have pretty much same graphic settings as you.
i've heard people say they get huge improvements using process lasso. my experience has not been that, I don't personally use it because I haven't seen much difference. Worth a shot though.
@@pyurologie so I tried process lasso and it made 0 difference with my setup. What I did through is that disabled full screen optimization and dpi settings, run as administrator and i got pretty much constant 165 fps, except scoping of course(my monitor refresh rate) in streets with high textures and everything else turned off or low plus quality colors on! I didn't think doing those things (for the tarkov.exe would have such an Impact with my setup)
@@britzolas Hello, im a big noob when it comes to these things but could you explain more how to do these things, because i just bought a new PC and im also getting shit FPS on streets
I was thinking about pairing the 7900 XTX with my 7800x3d. Would there be any performance to gain by going with 7900 xtx? I want to be able to run other games very smoothly on 1440p
You will run other games smoother with a better card but tarkov will be within the same level of performance. It's the CPU that lets you crank the frames the most. Save a little longer and treat yourself. You're going to be driving that machine for years to come.
looking at getting a new pc but cant seem to get the 6950xt, dont want spend more when not needed so would a 4060ti still work with a build like this?
if you are ok with finding used, then 3080 10GB, 6800XT are great. New, 4070 or 7800XT. The 4060Ti is still a good card in Tarkov, but it will be behind the ones I listed.

How's the input delay with FMF turned on?
i would only use it if you are already getting 100+ FPS or so. Then, it feels fine for me to play on. Otherwise, I start to feel the extra input lag to a point where I wouldn't use it.
I have the same build and get high fps but still get jittery gameplay sometimes. Not sure why

If you had to use an Intel LGA1700 CPU, what do you think would be the best bang for your buck? Im thinking i7 13700K, but Id like to get your opinion. Also, do you think 32gigs of 3600MHRZ CL19 RAM is adequate for expecting 110 +FPS? Running 1440P BTW. I really appreciate your content and the builds you showcase.
my 13600K isn't far behind my 13900K for tarkov really.
@@saint_snow Well currently my only upgrade path is new CPU and higher volume of DDR4. Would 48-64gigs DDR4 make sense?
@@andrewfernandez8330 I mean yea definately more ram is good now, I have definately noticed current streets eating up even my current 32gb, wildly enough. Is it impossible to get a new motherboard to support ddr5? You can still be on LGA1700 with ddr5. That is truly what's going to make a difference now on LGA1700 chips.

I have a 5800x3d and a 4070 and 32gb Ram, I only get 60-80 frames on streets, is that normal? I feel like it should be a bit higher

why 64gb ? x3d doesn't gain anything from dual rank sticks
just been seeing more than 32 in usage this wipe. 32 should be fine, but for higher end builds id go 48-64 now just in case.

Would this build be possible with a 4060? Theyre on sale at the moment and i need an upgrade bad
And what case and psu is for this aswell I couldn’t find online and there’s no link
yeah absolutely. 7800X3D is the main component needed here. 6950XT will max out 1440 native, but a 4060 will do great in 1440 with DLSS. I actually just uploaded a 7800X3D + 4060 vid today: ruclips.net/video/S7zDlJi6svw/видео.html.
with a 4060 build, you could get like a 750W and be fine. I use open benchtables for all my rigs as they're very easy to change out parts. They're a little pricey compared to traditional cases and if you don't need to change out parts often, I can recommend a case for you, if you'd like, depending on your preferences.
@@pyurologie if you can send me a link for the case that would be perfect for me that’s the last thing I need to find, and I already have the 7800 in my current computer so the rest of the build will be easy
