I will be applying these methods in 2020. Over the last 3 months or so, my channel has grown month over month in someway or another. I plan on applying what I've learned from you Nick even more seriously in 2020. At the time of writing this comment, I'm currently sitting at 71 subscribers, 15 or so proper videos, 1900 views in December so far, and 6,400 watch time minutes. I make comments like this because I love looking back and seeing what kind of progress I've made. My realistic goal for 2020 is to reach that 1000 subscriber mark and drastically improve the quality of my content.

Thanks for showing the retention graphs! I also noticed people clicking through the video when I use big titles. But no matter what I'm saying in my intro, it always drops to 50-60% in the first 30 seconds. Even without asking to sub and all that stuff. Great video 👊
After observing what small channels and big channels do in terms of quality, I've noticed that you need to; 1. Decent camera or phone camera. 2. Lighting. 3. A clean background. 4. Editing software. 5. Photo editing software. 6. Kind of consistent posting schedule. (Weekly is best). I've seen some RUclips channels that got big in under 30 videos while I saw some that remain small with over 100 videos. Hope that helps.

I know my data and my CTRs, watch time, average view duration, etc. but I didn't know what to do with that information to improve. Now from you sharing, I see that I need to look for patterns. I have been experimenting with more basic and direct thumbs and it has REALLY helped. I have also been working on watch time triggers throughout the video. I'm about 60% watch time. I'm pretty happy with the improvements
I revamped my page after a 4-year absence. I did not know how much RUclips has changed. Thanks for the tools. I am using them and my channel is looking so much better. Thanks Nick.

You have helped and continue to help me improve in my understanding of all things RUclips. On my channel I am mixing gameplays and movie reviews. Yes, I play games while talking about movies lol! The biggest issue I face is getting folks to see my content. However, with the help of your videos I have managed to have a great last year. I went from 160 subscribers January to 888 as of today. Hey Nick, I've been watching a few of your videos here and there. I've got 17 subs after a few months of making content. I just checked out the analytics for Browse Features and appearing on the Home Page of users and my Impressions click-through rate is 9.1% and 70% of my views come from that as opposed to my subscriber views which is 30% and contributes less than 9% of my watch time. Definitely, something I'll be keeping an eye on and will absolutely be altering my End Screen format so it is not after I have verbally finished the video. Thanks, Nick!
Thanks Nick. I've noticed that some of my most successful videos have been about specific places where strange creatures fly: California, Los Angeles, North Carolina, in particular. Yeh I think Morning Fame is better than Tube Buddy but it's not as well known. I'm thinking I shoudl be an affiliate but most of my viewers are spiritual folks my channel is about RUclips, but yeah it;s a great tool.

Thank you - this is VERY helpful! I've heard other RUclipsrs say you need to know the data. I know my data and my CTRs, watch time, average view duration, etc. but I didn't know what to do with that information to improve. Now from you sharing, I see that I need to look for patterns. I did and I'm noticing which types of thumbnails have a higher CTR and where people are dropping off in my videos. Thanks again!

I have been experimenting with more basic and direct thumbs and it has REALLY helped. I have also been working on watch time triggers throughout the video. I'm about 60% watch time. I'm pretty happy with the improvements

I started making videos related to psychology (Mental Models, Cognitive Biases!) believing they will get views all the time, But they don't get that much views compared to my regular content (Marketing, Management Subjects). I think I need more content like that for it to pick up pace.

Thank you for making these videos! Growth on RUclips is certainly difficult, but even more so when you don't understand the platform. You have helped and continue to help me improve in my understanding of all things RUclips. On my channel I am mixing gameplays and movie reviews. Yes, I play games while talking about movies lol! The biggest issue I face is getting folks to see my content. However, with the help of your videos I have managed to have a great last year. I went from 160 subscribers January to 888 as of today. Hey Nick, I've been watching a few of your videos here and there. I've got 17 subs after a few months of making content. I just checked out the analytics for Browse Features and appearing on the Home Page of users and my Impressions click-through rate is 9.1% and 70% of my views come from that as opposed to my subscriber views which is 30% and contributes less than 9% of my watch time.
Definitely, something I'll be keeping an eye on and will absolutely be altering my End Screen format so it is not after I have verbally finished the video. Thanks, Nick!

Now that I have found your channel and started learning I am exploding. Well exploding to me. I have earned 345 subs in last 90 days which gives me 705. I have a video on the first page. I’m getting 75,000 watch minutes in last 28 days and I have 12.2% click through rate. Thank you Thank you Thank You. Btw, I unlisted videos to focus on my new niche. I’m so excited. Also, your video on how many videos you need to get 100, 1000, 10,000 subs was amazing. It really opened my eyes. I was looking at it like I would wake up one day with 100,000 subs after 20 videos or so. It completely changed ups and down emotions when I wasn’t get subs. Keep up the great work.
