Maybe the book "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie would be helpful to you with this question. I haven't read it yet, but it's a classic. Here's a summary of the whole book on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/8SUiLkl42FQ/видео.html

Thanks for this exercise with the thoughts coming and going from one door out the other. I found that I wanted to lock that first door because there were a lot of thoughts. I saw my thoughts as people, maybe it would be better to see them as fish or birds just swimming by.

Thanks for sharing! I’m glad this resonated with you. Yes, we often want to block out thoughts and emotions- you’re not alone with that impulse. It helps to learn to allow thoughts and emotions to flow - then they can ebb off naturally… ⛲️

Hi maika, i have a question.(not related to this video).
I have had this question for a very long time but I couldn't find a answer to this. My question is about suicide. In a year about 800000 people die by suicide and I wonder can suicide be a option for some people?.
Like when I think of north Korea, innocent people are arrested and put in jail for trying to escape that bad country then they are tortured and killed. So for them there's is no solution for there problem there's no escape for them. There fate is to suffer and die. So in there case can suicide be an option? I mean they cannot escape from jail and they have to go through extreme pain all throughout there lifetime only to die in the end right? So if suicide was an option for them then they can die already without Going through all of these pain and suffering. I think it really do make a lot of sense. And many people In the world are going through unsolvable, unbearable and inescapable situations like this only to die in the end. So for all of those people, can suicide be an option?

Hi! This is a tough and complex issue that I don’t think can be answered with a simple yes or no. Some people - for example when they’re old and sick - do make this choice and it seems rational to most others. On the other hand, when people are depressed it often seems like there’s no way out, but there are in fact many things that can help them that they just haven’t tried yet. I think in most cases when people feel like they have no other option, there actually is a way out, and suicide is not a rational choice.
