Michele ~ you have a very effective way of teaching golf. It’s so easy to understand the reason for the drill and how to perform it. Much appreciated. Walk in beauty.
Hi Michelle, hope you are safe during the pandemic. I'm 66 & I thought I'm giving up learning golf, until I saw your instructions for half swing. I'm now a big fan. Thanks so much.
Michelle, this lesson might be your best demonstration of how and why you position the club. Your swing appears close to perfect IMO. Your head facing the wall (drill #2) and then rotating the club back is really good. Can you demonstrate your downswing objective from this same head against the wall position? Do you a primary downswing practice objective? Do you ever have left or is it right side downswing thoughts? Is a fast rotation/clear of the left shoulder one of your downswing objectives?
As from so many others, my thanks to you for another lesson and drills that I can use to improve my pathetic game. But more importantly, since you are on lockdown/isolation I pray that you are safe and remain safe and healthy in these crazy times. It's hard to isolate and be away from the course, but thanks for continuing the great content. Honestly you are a really great instructor.
You are so kind. Thank you so much. Your game is not pathetic, everyone play it differently and we all just need to find a way to manage it. Take care and stay safe
To me the best parts are always your mimicking of what not to do. It’s kind of funny and yet these tell me when I am doing it wrong when practicing with a mirror. 😄👍🏻👍🏻
Michele, thank you so much for these clear and simple drills. I was a good junior but a bad slipped disc in my back in my 20's meant almost 16 years with no golf. I'm now 46 and have been back playing for 14 months. Got my h/c to 7 but struggle with a lateral move in the backswing (probably weak/stiff back) but after trying these drills all week I shot 69 on Friday so I'm thrilled. That little bit of extra rotation just stops me from moving off the ball. Thank you
Hi Michele, thank you for the great lesson. As always, very simple to understand and very easy to practice at home. Hope your lock-down gets resolved, soon.
Thank you so much for your videos ! I discovered your channel a few days ago, and I look forward going to the driving range to practice. I particularly appreciate the tips you give, and I've spent 1 hour today in my garden trying some of them😀. The exercise with the wall is amazing ! I thought my rotation was good, but when I tried your exercise, I realized it was not correct . Thank you so much for your advices, I will practice. A kiss from France
Thankyou Michelle this is exactly what I've been doing my right hip seems to want to slide out from underneath me on the backswing , been doing these drills at home and really making a difference , shot my lowest score of 75 yesterday off a 10 hcp .
I think this is where my occasional shank comes from. I've been told my plane and weight transfer great but I sometimes over rotate on the down swing. Perfect video 👍👍
Most excellent! I really like your explanation of what can go wrong with an incomplete turn in the backswing ... especially the over the top scenario. When I try to hit a partial shot, I can tend to hit an over the top pull... I am wondering if because I am trying to take something off the shot, I am not making a full turn... something for me to look into. Thanks! BTW - maybe a video on partial shots? Just an idea.
For the absolute best back swing ever. Simply focus on your lead straight( not locked) arm raising up as your rib cage is turning. Your entire body becomes reactive as well as your hands and wrist are reactive especially if placed in the correct neutral grip. So do not manipulate the hands or wrist whatsoever as you are raising and lowering your lead arm This simply swing thoughts works because what goes up on it swing plane path must go down on the exact same path. Believe me at 74 this works!
Hi Michele! Thanks for the nice videos! Question for you…When I do this bow shoulder backswing, it is hard for me to get my hips open to the target at impact. How do I get them more open at impact and what should be my first & second move on the downswing so I am not stuck? Thanks!
Great stuff! When turning my hips and taking the club back, does it matter if my weight shifts to the outside of my right foot? I think you've said before to just flare out your right foot more, but just wanted to confirm if it's a problem?
@@michelelowgolf7501 Sorry, I did a lousy job explaining it. What I meant was at the top of my backswing, I feel pressure on the outside of my right foot as if my ankle was rolling out?
There are many reasons why but you can start with having your weight 60 percent on the left at set up if you are a right handed golfer and make the ball position in the middle of your stance
Best golf instruction channel !!! Thank you!
I am so happy I found you! Thanks for all you share😊
Michele is a first class teacher

I guess I will have to do a video on the downswing :). Head agaisnt the wall is not suitable for the downswing
Thank you so much Michele. This is exactly what I need to improve long distance.

Great drill Michele, love it , what about on the down swing ? can i just reverse the drill
It somewhat looks the same with the body but the weight transfer is different for the downswing
The visual you gave prior to the lesson. Helped me better understand the swing plain
Hope it helps. Thank you

Very useful video, Do you some driver trick like this. I cant feel when I use driver.
The rotation for the driver is the same. Just that is a bigger turn and ball position and set up is slightly different. Check out my driver video :)

The weight doesn’t shift beyond the right foot. I would say somewhere inside you inner right thigh.

Great tip. Tks. We start the back swing from right hip? My friens said that the back swing starts from the feets, is it right? Tks
To be honest, everyone has their trigger point to start the swing. But the sequence is arms will start little early.
@@michelelowgolf7501 tks for your reply. Nice weekend.
Très bons conseils 👍
Thank you
michele, does it matter if i initiate this rotation with the left shoulder and hip or would this lead to a bad move coming down on forward swing?
Is the hip first then the upper body
Great Michelle , as a aged golfer , I found I hit more flat shot or ( hit behind) more and more , any suggestion ?
There are many reasons why but you can start with having your weight 60 percent on the left at set up if you are a right handed golfer and make the ball position in the middle of your stance
