I probably watch too much YT golf instruction clips, so I've seen a large number of instructors. I hope you realize how good you are at this, your concise, simplistic well formulated lessons are top notch. Thank you 👏
Michelle mentioned the ‘4 to 10’ tip in a previous video and I cannot rate this one tip highly enough for an out-to-in swinger. It’s literally a game changer!
Hi there Coach Michelle. I am Mark Anthony from the Philippines. I am really passionate about improving my golf skills. I'm so glad i found your tutorial tips in youtube. I found it very helpful and appreciate the kind words about your coaching methods! I just want you to know that I am eager to learn and improve. I wish you could help me with more tips and guidance to help me reach my golfing goals. And i PRAY that maybe one day, a visit to the Philippines might be on your cards. As i watched your tutorial videos,i felt motivated and more excited to play golf.Thank you and i hope to meet you in person one day coach..Take care always..
Hi Michelle, I no longer slice the ball but I do fade every one of my drives - nothing dramatic. The culprit is I’m coming over the ball and have been at work to correct the issue. Old habits die hard, though. I want to personally thank you because it was one of your videos which helped me realize I had developed a swing without tempo and my range sessions were just an exercise for speed training. Recently I’ve been deliberately swinging slower: my accuracy has improved and I’ve a tempo which works for me. Again, thank you for helping us beginner golfers! I started golfing in August 2023 and I’m 42-years-old. If you care to, I have videos on channel displaying my swings. Again, all thanks to you! Moreover, happy Chinese New Year and all the best to you, your family and newborn child! 🎉
Thank you, Michele, for a very helpful lesson! I started golfing last year at age 65 to challenge myself to learn a new skill and give me a recreational outdoor social hobby in retirement. I live 5 months of the year in The Villages, Florida, where there are 56 golf courses with 747 total holes. You are one of the rare people who is not only skilled in your craft and technique but also skilled as an instructor in helping others. Your simple, easy to follow lessons with a good summary and review at the end are beneficial. Thank you for including graphics on your videos along with your "tell, show, do" formula. I hope to get a chance to take an in person lesson from you while I live in Thailand and the Philippines November through April.
Thank you Michelle excellent coaching ,I have tried all my life to play golf some days good some days bad,I really enjoy your videos ,you are very good
Michelle, i really love the way you teach, simple but practical! I wonder if you could make some videos about how to do hybrid (4) and woods (2,3). I understand the correct position of doing driver and irons. But when it comes to hybrid or woods, I don’t know what is the right way to do it.
I can't seem to make myself have a shaft leaning look on video. I think I stall out my shoulder and hands a bit and let the club go by to get power. Can you please do a video to address this subject?
I needed the club face fore-arm information today. My biggest problem is either slicing or topping the ball, even with a strong grip, so I think that second step is something I need to work on.
WATCH WHAT MICHELLE IS DOING WITH HER LEFT HAND AT 6:58. I found this to be really, REALLY, important for my slice and not enough golf coaches teach it ! ! ! Michelle has another YT video from three years ago called “Fix the Slice” where she describes this move with her left wrist as the “reverse motorcycle throttle”. What she is doing is “bowing” her left wrist in the backswing to square the club face through impact. WATCH THAT VIDEO ! ! ! My slice didn’t subside until I incorporated THAT MOVE and I’m still working on it. And what I found, at least for me; when I bow that left wrist and try to hold it through impact, my body naturally tends to create that inside-out swing path that all of us over-the-top players crave.
Im summary you are saying have a bad grip which closes your clubface and then offset this problem by misaligning your feet to target? Seems like 2 wrongs do make a right but doesnt seem a good idea in long term
Can you clarify the 4 to 10? That implies (for a righty) that you have to come over the top to impact the right(ish) - outside part of the ball as opposed to 8 to 2. I do this by aligning to the 'pitcher' and swinging to the 'right fielder' (this promotes rolling the hands over with the strong grip you mentioned.
I played 9 holes yesterday and hit every fairway accept the first that I missed 8 yards to the right. It was cold, 40 degrees, and wet after frost melt, so I was not going to get normal distance under those conditions. That said, my flight pattern was straight, or small fade (5 to 10 yards) on most of the tee shots. Is that natural fade a problem?
Looking at the ball at address - 12 o'clock is furthest away, 6 o'clock closest, 3 the right and 9 the left side of the ball. Over the top hits the ball at 2 o'clock (outside) towards 8 o'clock rather than 4 o'clock (inside) towards 10 o'clock. Hope that helps
@@RLS2228 I think you have confused yourself here. It is biomechanically impossible to strike the ball and of the O'clocks from 10 to 2. I too was confused by Michelle's 4 to 10 Swing plane as surely this will promote at best a hook if not a direct pull straight left. I did like the rest of her instructions though
How do the Titleist clubs compare with PXG? PXG getting a lot of love from you tube reviewers/influnencers. Unfortunately no one is unbiased so hard to tell
One more cause of a slice is … the upper body (head) moves ahead of the ball. At least that’s what I think my issue is if my ball gets away from me. One thing you didn’t mention is ☝🏻KEEP YOUR HEAD STILL … and (esp with driver) stay behind the ball. Face & path might be ok, but if I close the face too late 😩 pull-slice So many causes of a slice
@@maureensmith1675 Ooooh, that make sense relevant to the statement but most admit to visualising in the instant the more tractional 6 at my toes and 12 to the target hence 7 to 1 or 8 to 2 being in my mind. Thank you for the clarification Maureen

Best at delivering techniques. Michelle's channel is a go-to place whenever I feel upset with my game and realize my mistakes in the course.
Michele, your videos have been the most helpful and have helped me fix my slice. Thanks for all the tips!

Intersting! I don’t slice my driver, but with a negative attack angel. I got exactly this tip (in to out), will it help to hit ball upwards? Thanks!

I replied to Nicholas below. Hope it helps
@RLS2228 this statement by @bmharnett is exactly what I meant to when I reply to your message to @nicolasmadrid3627

Im confused with the 4 to 10 swing. If we are trying to swing inside out how does 4 to 10 do that? This is a great vid by the way.

Hi Michele - have not seen any videos for a while now. Hope your ok.
A bit confused about 4 to 10- seems out to in or right to left- I’m sure I’m missing something
Sounds like you might be lefty like me. In which case you're aiming for an 8 to 2 path
I thought that too.
The clock position is relative to the golfer not the target. Ie 9 o’clock is towards the target.
