She makes it so easy to understand. Many instructors on youtube point out to many things but Erika just focus on thing and all the other things in your swing will follow
The comments are a riot. He could easy be 7. He’s nervous, type A and intense, and like many of us… quick under pressure (1st lesson with Erica on camera). I thank and tip my hat to this gentleman.
Really well done Erika, and Bill. I don’t know Erika, but she is obviously amazing at analyzing, quickly, the golf swing. Getting Bill on that correct plane.
As a 50 year old who has only been playing for 20 months after a 33 year hiatus, this lesson is absolutely on point for me! I watched this then got right back to my sim and started hitting balls easier and straighter! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This video is amazing.. so well done. I watch a TON of golf on RUclips. This is hands down the best step by step path towards developing a good swing thought.
Oh my! I had just had the most horrible day yesterday after taking a few lessons with a certified Stack and Tilt instructor who I like, but I’m really starting to hear the voices of Ernest Jones and Manuel Del Torre. This was a very refreshing golf lesson and you are extremely gifted in communicating, the swing the club head theory! I wish you were in California
These simple drills are the best I have watched on the Internet. In the same class as Dan Grieve. I have practiced with a rope in my garden and experienced a sense of liberation.
Great video, top notch! I've seen the Dr. Kwon videos swinging the rope and other instructors where they detail the skeletal parts and joint movements like extension, flexion, adduction or abduction BUT your descriptions worked better for me! The really key moment was when you told Billy the key was feeling the club at the top transition like the rope gently hitting your back and the pause letting it start down, you call it the tipping point. This video is great and the way you teach is very easy to understand. Thanks, I downloaded to my saved videos, I know it will be a great reference for me.
Loved these drills. I recently had developed a severe case of the shanks across all of my irons. I figured out what I was doing, but struggled to get consistent contact with too many swing thoughts fighting for attention. The towel drill got me back in rhythm and let me get back to just swinging. Thanks!
Shanks before or after? Did the towel drill fix it? I'd bought her series and had played really well with until I got a horrible case of the shanks with my irons that I couldn't fix..
Erika great lesson and video . I’ve been struggling to with the same swing plane being too flat. Sometimes focus to much on swing plane positions and lose sight of its a swing one continuous motion!! I plan on using your drills to help. Just liked and subscribed 😊
This is quality in-person instruction. Surely this could be adapted to online production, with at least some progress for a very old man as appeared here? Individual or in general? Or both? Thank you. 😊 Hope so.
I appreciate this gentleman’s willingness to have his lesson up on the net. He has all the tools to improve but it will take awhile to overwhelm a lifetime of poor swings.
I’m having trouble getting my arms above my shoulders, left lead shoulder was broken and the physical therapy didn’t get it all the way back. Will this swing concept work with a shorter backswing? I like the concept however.
I’m 4 minutes in and the general feeling I get is this gentleman is so quick to get his thoughts out that he’s not REALLY listening to instruction. Just comes off a little too knowledgeable for his own good but we’ll see…. Edited: now I’m 8 minutes in and I’m positive he thinks he’s more knowledgeable than he is. “Sure” “right” “right” “sure” “right”…. Like everything she’s saying he knows already. A 7 handicap? 🤔
path looked pretty good ball went right . at 1:42 grip is weak,,,fix his left hand !! if you watch his path on the second swing, its fine. just square the face with a stronger grip. I don't understand why you didn't start there. he still sliced it at 17:04
There's no way he is a 7 ahandycap. He is actually doing the opposite of wat he should be doing. His lower body is working to hard.He needs to work his sholders on plan and slow the lower body down..She is getting him to swing the club feeling centrifical force.if he can only do that he will improve. He is much more stable over the ball just by her getting him turn his shoulders and swing the club has changed his hole swing. He actually looks like a 7 handycap.Mazing change
My guess is his best score when only playing nine holes was a 9hcp but hes probably an 18-28hcp with a high anti-handicap of 30-40. 🤔. Ive been only playng for 1 year and my best nine holes was 9hcp but i play 12-18hcp on average when playing 18 holes.
Core rotation? What is that? It's to rotate the spine from hip to neck. She does that, not him. I think if you can visualise the rotation of your shoulder is the result of your rotation or coiling and uncoiling of the spine.
We do love a bit of 1930’s instruction , suprised this guy is not more familiar with earnest . On the other hand he drives 350,holes out from 100 in and sinks every putt from anywhere . Thats how he’s a seven . Topping , pushing or fatting 7is is not an indicator of hcp 🤷🏻♂️niether is a two foot sway 🙈
After 60 yrs of golf, I think it's better to get lessons from women. Women, am or pro, have to use technique, not strength, to get full performance. Guys get quick and jerky trying to muscle. Question: if wrists are so important, how does Steve Stricker win everything in sight? ;)
weak grip will force a forever slice which will lead to bad swing path and flipping...which will lead to frustration and more books/lessons. Hitting 2 shots moderately better than the 'bad' shots is no fix. If the sole purpose of the lesson was to focus on swing rhythm and 'pendulum'...mission accomplished, if it was to 'fix' this persons golf swing/game....not even close.
@@MrLuigiFercotti Yep, that's tour pro's. Avg golfers, most of them, should have stronger grips as most of them suffer from slicing and want to fix it....right?
He meant 27 not 7! Is he an aging Tommy Gainey with those 2 gloves? Nothing wrong with soft arms in the swing, but you are going to get a flippy release with no compression. Hope he didn’t pay for this “lesson”.

Erica you are very gifted. Keep up the good work.
Best golf teacher on you tube. Thank you

After watching I improved my iron play tremendously. Thanks

Wow great lesson! Thank you Erika!
Erika Larkin you, ROCK THE CASBAH… So love your easy way of instructing how to let the swing happen. Thank you for your True swing techniques. ⛳️

My favorite RUclips instructor. She simplifies the swing. Now to put it in practice on a consistent basis.
The longest distance in golf is the walk between the practice tee, and the first hole tee.
The swings at the end of the video were really on plan. Good job !
My buddy showed me this swinging drill yesterday. Prepare to enter the twilight zone. GAME CHANGING. Thank you, Erika.
The golden golf swing ❤ I will keep watching it as a reminder of how I should swing... my goto swing.
These simple drills are the best I have watched on the Internet. In the same class as Dan Grieve. I have practiced with a rope in my garden and experienced a sense of liberation.
Glad I found you Erika! Will be working with my towel today at practice!
Incredible, well done! I will be giving this a try! Thanks Coach Erika!

@@edr4973The towel drill helped my rhythm, but not my shanks. The whiff drill has helped me
Before. Towel drill helped simplify my swing thoughts and rhythm. Having success with shanks with a whiff drill
The video instruction is gold 🙂
I like the rope drill for getting the tempo at the top correct.
You gave some excellent points for me to work on.. Thank you..!
Great video, great coaching. Thanks
I really like her teaching and communication style.
Great coach. Great feels. Thanks so much for doing this.
Great coach Clear n simple instructions 👍👏🏻🍺
Best I’ve seen
Wow class instruction

Great video.Thanks Erika..
Great video tuition Erika
Thanks for the great video
I’m getting a rope! A light bulb moment for me! Love this video!
Great golf lesson
Terrific! Simple

This is a GREAT video!
I appreciate this gentleman’s willingness to have his lesson up on the net. He has all the tools to improve but it will take awhile to overwhelm a lifetime of poor swings.
I've narrowed down my RUclips golf instruction to three golf teachers: GRF, Dan Grieves and Erika.
nice video, it's very useful💯💯
Good explaining from Erika. The problem is: It's almost impossible to change his golf swing. He would not keep his HCP 7 for a long time 😮🙄🤔
Never had HCP 7😂....never
Gotta stay on plane!
the world needs a standardized golf instructions
Great teacher 👌🏽
I’m having trouble getting my arms above my shoulders, left lead shoulder was broken and the physical therapy didn’t get it all the way back. Will this swing concept work with a shorter backswing? I like the concept however.
Where can we purchase this rope piece?? Thank you
I'm going to try this. Man do I need to get unstuck!
I've got to try this. I'm way too flat with irons.
Great video! BTW, no way this has a seven handicap 😅😅😅
Is he lower handicap ?
@@Mr.Helper. I would guess a 15-20 handicap with his swing.
Totally disagree. He moves through the ball well.
@@ToddCiehomski wasn't the guy in the video getting the lesson named Todd
@@Mr.Helper.exactly
If this man’s handicap is really 7, the way he swings, then I have hope.
There's no way this guy is a 7. The poor guy is also clearly suffering from back problems.
He plays in a 9 hole league..😊
He was trying to impress Erika

7 on the front and 7 on the back. ⛳️

7 handicap!, he must average 25 putts a round.

Practicing irons with tee?
He's slicing the ball. There's no way he's swinging too far in to out
He's hitting a push slice...so yes he's in to out with an open face
He needs a stronger grip not the crap she’s telling. He had a great body swing that only need a better grip
Those balls are not starting right@@jaronferrell3222
Hate to pile on, but with a 7 handicap you would have to be a great putter from the rough.
Could be a seven…..maybe a good short game. I was a two handicap with a poor swing.
I like the motion but the swaying is a problem
7 hcp wow
Love this!!!
Great teacher …… Erica you must have Irish blood in you hands🇮🇪☘️🇨🇮

I tried swinging without my hands but I kept dropping the club. ;)
He’s giving me 8 strokes let’s go.

Less coffee as well haha

Lord, it's a miracle.
Next week she's turning water into wine.
Some people on here are so gullible.
Your student needs to lay off the caffein. He's making this hard to watch..
don’t watch it then. Who the Fuk are you to tell someone how fast they should talk. Fuk there are stupid fuks on youtube
Why? He seems genuine.
I notice he is moving a lot… it’s that he has lower back issues… it’s the reason he is trying stay mobile.
we are never brought together any rope during pro am tour.
Hard to believe this guy has a 7 handicap .
My magic robe and lovely Erika 😍 😆 😘
I think we all agree he is not a 7 hcp, but he needs to calm way down. Too tense, and it goes against what she advises

More like 20 HCP but 7 come on man.
he easily can be under 10 handicap with that swing and a good short game
Looks like he’s still hitting the same high cut.
Armsy swing, not turning the waist and the legs and shoulders letting them PULL the arms thru.
First lesson.....use 1 glove
Looks cool, but my brain wont let me do that.
A 30 handicap watching to many golf videos thinking he is it, deluding into thinking he is a 7 . His swing is not a 7 handicap swing.
HCP 7 ???😂
Give her a high five please
"A little lower back, maybe something... lets get into it"??? Why even ask?
Good technique! But why do I have a feeling that this man’s old bad habit swings will come back after a game or two. 😅
This guy should get a bowling ball. He’ll be back to his old crappy swing before she gets back to the clubhouse
People like this guy is the main reason I never became a teaching pro
7 handicap my arse 😂😂
He picked his head up -- he wasn't fast.
That's no 7 handicap...more like 25
If he has a good short game he could easily be a 10.
Probably gold tees, good short game
Well he has great balance which you almost never see in a high handicapper.
Maybe on a par 3 course
Poor man.. why he have to flagellate himself ? probably committed great sins
We got some cocaine stuff going on sir.
How is he 7 handicap .. LOL. I have a better swing and striking then he has.. I am 13 handicap :D
He deeded a grip correction not all this crap !!
