    Imagine the coordination of events when the White Shadow was on the air and Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were grabbing national headlines for their college play. Johnson and Bird's arrival in the Pro's may have saved the NBA, (with possibly an assist from the White Shadow).

    I grew up watching Baby Face Paige and Edmon Lawrence both were outstanding high school basketball players of course and the battle they gave each other on the court was something to witness. I was blessed to a witness of it. I remember well, the gymnasium would be Packed, with lots standing to watch also.

  • @salimthebarefootsage8182

    This episode was filmed less than a year after Meadowlark Lemon left the Globetrotters. Geese took over as the Clown Prince of the team, but did not get the recognition he deserved.

    • @dj3114
      @dj3114 5 лет назад +1

      There is no doubt that Meadowlark was great, but even the players said he was predictable as he did exactly what he was supposed to, when he was supposed to do it. Geese on the other hand was the opposite, they never knew - he could be in the stands eating popcorn or playing with a kid while the others did the job. I loved Geese, he was naturally funny and looked like he was always having a good time.

  • @teej783

    I can't believe I missed this episode. The old school Globetrotters were great. This show could never be made now because as modern media often states, "a show about the white man going into the ghetto and solving all the problems". In reality, it opened a window on neighborhoods like that and the problems needing to be faced instead of liberals allowing them to just get worse.

    • @larpsim
      @larpsim 6 лет назад +1

      teejay Trujillo,
      I'm calling bullshit on that. Liberals allow people to be who they are instead of forcing them to comply and taking advantage of them like a Conservative dumb ass.

    • @teej783
      @teej783 4 года назад +1

      @@larpsim Who they are? You mean forcing little boys to dress like girls because of gender fluidity. The Boy Scouts can't be Boy Scouts anymore because of Liberals. Liberals are the most psychopathic control freaks in the world and just like you, they can't keep their noses out of businesses they know nothing about.
