Mine didn't show the "update crossfire" message, so I waited a long time before seen your video saying this (maybe because I had 1.12). I think that It should be easier, it's totally a pain in the ass.
Thanks bro I got the Tango 2 all sorted out. I did it backwards firmware then SD card. I needed to reload firmware in agent X. At least that is what worked but that’s basically what that alert said in the tango
Yep, after further investigation I also had to set my crossfire power level and frequency back to 915mhz. Guess I stopped the video a little too soon. Thanks for the heads up!
@@5zero7RC I followed the steps and updated the firmware as you said. Now when I connect the Tango II via TBS Agent X it only connects (online) with Tango II, but not Tango II XF or Tango Wifi, even though the firmware is v4.o3 and v1.21 respectively. I also get a "Waiting for CrossFire dev" notice on my Tango II when I enter the Crossfire setup menu. Thanks for all of your help.
@@ZabDevin Something is not right there. I would reach out to TBS support. I assume they have seen this before and would have good advice for how to fix it.
Thanks! I do enjoy this radio. I don't understand how anyone can fly with the big boxy controllers :) But that's probably because of my gaming history and learning to fly on a Turnigy Evolution radio.
Thanks for the video! When you say restore the backed up files... Do you copy them back to the tango 2 sd card, so they exist alongside the new ones? Thanks
@@5zero7RC ah that's why i was a bit confused, I dont really get why replace the files with the new ones and then replace them again with the originals. Thanks for the reply!
ty for the video i just followed your introduction, but after i updated sd card content and restored the backed up data I just get a warning: "SD card warning expected ver: 1.1V0019 Press any Key" my tango 2 is on firmware 1.13, do i have to upgrade to 1.16 (like you) to get this done? atm the tango wont show online in tbs agent x... :/
Once you update the SD card you will now have newer software on the SD card than what the Tango is expecting. So you then need to use agent X to update the Tango 2. You should be able to press a button and then select agent X and do the firmware update.
@@5zero7RC yeah the problem was my pc, seems like usb connection was faulty. my tango didnt show any text like "pls update crossfire" so i waited long enough while it hanged in Restarting device and then updated crossfire as shown :)
another mistake i did was when it say pls update crsf i thought it got hunp up , but i unplug and replug did it again it says complete with fredom 1.2 so i just upgrade crsf 4.0 and that went thru. so i did it some one incorectly but tango seem fine on my flights, except for alert about loosing connection i still have that , but i never fail safe.
I flashed my version 3PCB the tango 2 is green the tango 2 firmware 1.23 Crossfire is green. 4.08 is the version. I went to bind everything works properly green light is flashing on my receiver I hate find on the transmitter and a box pops up saying flash latest Agent X to tango 2 I thought I already did that ha ha Ha LOL can you help me I know this is something simple
That sort of sounds like your Tang2 is asking you to upgrade crossfire on your receiver "over the air". You should say yes to that box and let it update your receiver. If that is not what is happening here, I would reach out to TBS support for more assistance.
@@5zero7RC I appreciate you getting back to me mate but my tango 2 will only update to v3.78 and all I have on my tango 2 is radio setup. I can get crossfire up but when I click on that all it says unknown error
That was my first thought as well. For some firmware updates you don't have to download new SD card contents. Must be something about the process that makes that difficult. But I agree, that sure would be nice if Agent X could just take care of everything at once.
5zero7 RC just shave it, down to skin! I was scared, best decision I made! They sell balding / scalp electric shaver on amazon. I hit it twice a week. You won’t regret it...
QUICK TIP: Before copying over the SD card contents, delete all the languages you don't use or know. Cuts the upload time WAY down.
Great tip! That SD card process took forever!

You need to tell it to overwrite any existing files with your backup files, if they exist.
@@5zero7RC ah that's why i was a bit confused, I dont really get why replace the files with the new ones and then replace them again with the originals. Thanks for the reply!
Well, you don't replace all of them, just a few of them that include your specific settings and models.

My radio is now all fucked up. It's bound but I get nothing in betaflight now. Good job TBS. Another fucking nightmare of an update
