Hi Gal, totally agree, I now have the Tango2 Pro complete with module bay and it ticks all the right boxes. My Xlite is now up for sale - it's been good, but this is another class :) Stay safe......
This is now "The RC!" good bye to bad choices Taranis X Lite Pro(which I thought I loved because its my first RC and bought it only about 4 months ago. Now I know that FrSky has made some terrible and super dumb decisions... (stupid decisions) so as soon as I can install the multiProtocol module on my Tango 2 Pro.... I am Out of FrSky... I may keep the X Lite Pro just as a backUp during my change completely to TBS CrossFire... after all, TBS its just the absolute best....so now there is no reason to go with the losers from FrSky. I just ordered my Tango 2 Pro 2 days ago as a pre-order- Yesterday they arrived at the store 👍 also the module bay upgrade (but not the circuit board... that is still on pre-order....)... the crown jewels and the lanyard support.... I think I will be very happy with it... (oh, also 3 TBS CrossFire micro modules...)
MC's Creations I only have 4 months in the super addictive FPV world (even since I couldn't fly on the simulator(Velocidrone) even then I started to buy quads because I knew I would learn and I knew I was in it to stay.... So, even being a newcomer here, I was struck by FrSky incompetence because 2 of my first quads I ordered with legacy D8 and D16 2.4 gHz FrSky ..... so when I received them, I just couldn't fly them, even when they had a FrSky receiver. I was mad! I ordered some XM+ and "fixed" the problem. .... then i started to learn more and realize that I made a mistake, a Timing mistake, to chose Taranis. Maybe 3 years ago or even 2, would have been great. Now, I would have gone maybe for the Jummper.... but doing my research, TBS CrossFire is the best RC there is.... If I was affected by this FrSky series of mistakes with only no 4 months in this hobby.... surely others have been way worst punched by it. Well I would have bought the CrossFire module.... but lucky for me, they are everywhere sold out, because the X-Lite pro would be like a Frankenstein with that big module on its back..... Tango 2 Pro came along. And it seems also it's feature for bigger modules or multi protocol is better designed than the X-Lite Pro.... and gimbals pretty much like the Taranis D9 at the size of the X Lite..... indisputably Tango 2 Pro is today's RC. In the future I'll see if I can attach a full crossFire module to it, I hope they get to make a base that is not as a monstrosity as the one that's needed for the Taranis.... Good flights also! Ahoy!!!!!
Like how you casually drill through the back of the Tango with the Ts100 like "Of Course" I was sitting here like there must be a elegant solution.... to the youtubes... Gal must know... welp haha
Hi, does someone knows about the radio regulations in europe? I have the tango2 and I was wondering what are the "rules" regarding the transmission power, according to some people for 860MHz the limit is 5mW? is that correct? thanks
I not own the Tango 2 but I watched it nevertheless :D Now I got a nice idea and I think I will build my own Tango 2 xD 30 dollar pcb, 60 gimbals and 30 for a shell :D and ready is the Tango 2 for half the price
Hi all, I installed iRangeX iRX4 Lite on my tango2, and got a massive delay in D8 mode compared to X-Lite. I can clearly see the difference in the Betaflight receiver tab. I can also feel that delay when flying. Did any buddy get the same issue here?
Agree, I have Nirvana also and I was very nervous when calibrating Tango 2. I have waiting 5 months while my Tango was shipped, and actually try it only 2 times due of a lot small issues, the main of them is calibration and sticks
hi Gal ! Can Module Bay Add-On support the JR module? btw, i have a multi-protocol ,but its JR module cant not use the Module Bay Add-On ,or just change the pins that use it? thx
Nicely done, I might get tango 2. The problem comes if it will support the TBS Crossfire Lite. You mentioned something at the end of this video. Also do you know if tango 2 supports the FrSky JST lite. Getting the irange from banggood it will take forever to get it in the US.
Thanks. It doesn't support the JST lite as far as I know. As for the CRSF Lite option - I am not sure what you are referring to. I mentioned that currently the maximum output power is 250mw and they might increase this value in the future using a firmware update.
Hello Gal, Thanks for your work, very usefull. Do you know if the Tango becomes compatible with the R9M Lite module? and the Crossfire TX or TX Lite? That would expand its capabilities a lot
I followed these instructions but my quads won't bind. I have the XJT lite module I'm not sure if that's the reason or if I need to do anything in the CLI to be able to bind
Understanding this radio is new, guess they provide what they forgot to put in. This radio should come with this CONNECTING BAY, 1WATT OF POWER, EYE FOR THE STRAP, AND ALL ADD ONS FIRST CLASS THEY CAN IMAGINE!

im installing mine today, thanks for the great tutorial!
Haha, you're welcome Doug.
That's a game changer for me. I've pre-ordered Ghost though and may actually cancel and order a new tango with a multiprotocol module.
Thanks a lot!
My pleasure. I hope to test the Ghost system in the near future but I double that it will be able to beat the CRSF system.

This is going to be a popular and necessary video. Thanks much
Glad you think so!
The external TX Bay should have been on it from day one....
Better late than never.
your the best Gal I WILL WACTH THIS VIDEO once i get my v3 board
Haha, thanks buddy. I hope you will get it soon.
Fantastic, Gal! Thanks a lot for the video! 😃
Finally, now it looks like the perfect transmitter! 😃

Not sure what it means and Google translate didn't make a lot of sense so... :-)
Great ! Ordered module bay today. After I received Radiomaster zorro I found it’s not good for me and I’m back to tango 2 ..
its ok, but those switches are wrong ;( for arm/disarm its a disaster

Haha, well let's settle about the title - the fastest solution for that purpose and not the most elegant one ;-)
Gday Gal, great review and refit for the tbs 2 transmitter, its great that the decided to run a multi module, good job mate.👍🛸
Gday mate. Thanks a lot!
Thanks - a new project, is there another link for the multi protocol maybe from AliExpress, as the Banggood to Israel shipping time is terrible
Awesome work Gal !
Thanks bro!
Awesome Gal thank you!
No problem 😊

Aren't you missing the antenna, the battery, the screen and other components?
There is another board inside there radio for there screen that doesn't come with the PCB upgrade. Sorry
Or just buy the refurbished one for 99$ 😉
Thanks buddy. It will be cheaper for you to buy a refurbished one as suggested by Colin.
Could you please post a link? I cannot find these reburbished tangos...

I will double check it but I didn't experience this issue. D16 is working well?
I've just receive the Tango 2 Pro with V3 board preinstalled! Which stick ends are u using? They look great!
Have fun!
I am using these stick ends: bit.ly/STP-Stick-Ends
Thanks for this really nice vid' 😉

That's a pretty neat solution but I love my Nirvana too much :)

Hi there. No, but you can use this adapter if needed: bit.ly/JR-ADAPTER-XLITE

STP stick ends. I really like them.

Hi buddy. I ordered the tbs tango 2 pro v3 version. So I don't need to change the main board right?thanks 😊
I have the v2, its perfect so i dont need to upgrade to v3.
The tango 2 is now just perfect...
Have fun!
But 500mw!
@@Burn377 for waht 😜 250mw is more than enough. And think about the small battery from the tango 2.
Hello Gal,

Do you know if the Tango becomes compatible with the R9M Lite module? and the Crossfire TX or TX Lite? That would expand its capabilities a lot
Hi there. For now it's not compatible with the R9m lite. It's compatible with the CRSF TXs though.
@@KremerFPV Sad☹️
Great work 👌👍👍👍 lg 🍀
Thanks Oli!
Hey Gal! can I use my R9m Lite pro with it? I see the option for D16 But is there one for R9?
Hi, as far as I know it's not supported as of the last available version.
why would you run r9 on a crsf transmitter??
I followed these instructions but my quads won't bind. I have the XJT lite module I'm not sure if that's the reason or if I need to do anything in the CLI to be able to bind
The XJI lite module is not compatible unfortunately. It was recently announced by TBS and I wasn't aware of it at the moment of making this video.
@@KremerFPV Thanks for the reply! I purchased the irx4 lite in the meantime!

Hey Gal do you think is possible to use the new multiprotocol bay to upload via wire the frsky compatible receiver?
Hi, do you mean flash the rx with new firmware updates? As far as I know, no.
Is tango 2 v3 is capable of outputting 1W?
Yes
@@KremerFPV what about Crossfire micro TX V2?
Will u have to re set up controller afterward or Will that all transfer via sd card,?
You can back up your models using the SD card.
Is this working with frsky and flysky receiver also? Thanks 😊
Yes, the multi-protocol module is compatible with these RXs.
Hello bro.. how much gb is the stock micro sd card in the tango 2?
16gb.
@@KremerFPV thank u bro.. so meaning it is not necessary to upgrade micro sd card in the tango 2?
@@davevipe np. No, just update the contents.
@@KremerFPV thanks bro
Can R9M2019 be installed on tango2?
As far as I know, yes.
What's the difference from the V2 to V3 board? V2 can still do this add-on correct?
Correct. The difference is the v3 has the new RF chip used in micro TX v2 which allows higher output which isn’t disclosed yet
John is correct. Thanks for answering the question :-)
Upgrade the V3 pcb ,can working on 500mw、1W ?
Not yet, but maybe in the future.
500mw has been confirmed to go live in the next week or 2.

What do you mean? Latest Tango 2 radio controllers are now equipped with the V3 board.
@@KremerFPV oh good thats what i wanted to know so you don't have to do the upgrade!
