I must admit that I first decided to trust you because of your Southern accent. The Tennessee came through loud and clear--my grandparents live there and listening to your voice was comforting. Then I realized just how much you and Nancy know about gardening. Your story is beautiful as is your faith. Thank you for providing an effective gardening education and so much hope in a time of need. God Bless.

The seeds that I bought say pickling cucumbers so I'm going to be looking for canning jars and info. I did this when I was a kid in the 70s in Waco, IDK how much I'll remember? I was the person in the family who took care of elders and nieces and nephews when they needed it. So now everyone has grown up or passed away and I'm bored! Time to get busy doing something else that will assist my kids in raising my grandkids. :) Thanks for posting this video.

Kristina Tidwell I’m just starting to get into canning now. The cheapest place I found Ball canning jars was Walmart. My local store has a good amount of supplies to get started. Also, look up the National Center for Home Food Preservation online. Good luck! ✌🏻

We used to have about 1.5 acres of garden space but since my grandpa passed away almost 2 years ago we havent had a garden. I dont have as much space as he did so me and my broth started a raised garden bed. Your videos are just amazing! I didnt use fish but my garden is still organic and they have all sprouted and going well the last couple of weeks! Using what I learned from my grandparents and mom and you guys I hope God blesses us with plentiful from the garden this year! Also for you guys too!

Like the idea of your kind of fence . Great ideas for my 360square foot garden and my 10 5gal. buckets. Stay well!!! Gardener in SC.( My garden is in the front yard of a city development. Hand tilled and mostly seed planted, but this year spurged on Lowe's tomato Plants.

Well this is Barney Again. I watched your video again and did come up with an idea on my own thanks for your inspiration to get me started! I don't have a lot of money so I had to use what I had around the house! I had some old fencing it's made of wood the Civil War fence Style just laying around the tractor Barn! No they didn't come from Civil War haha! They're about 20 years old anyhow each piece of wood is about 20 feet long so I sawed Them in half
Then I dug about three feet in the was post hole diggers and placed each piece of wood in the hole packing it really good with dirt making sure each piece was solid! I'm going to have to brace all the wood at the top with electrical Hotwire you know the kind that keeps Critters out! I had some leftover from last year! I have to do what I can since I'm no longer working at Walmart! I plan to get dog fencing tomorrow and use that instead of chicken wire ! It's not the hog panels you were talking about that's the next best thing I can't afford! I had plenty of cucumbers in the past years but they grew on the ground I had to throw away away about 100 LBS! I gave away 200 LBS last year to my neighbors I've helped at least 15 Neighbors and the past 7 years! I'm giving away cucumbers tomatoes bell peppers okra both yellow and zucchini squash and corn! But this year a plan to sale most of my vegetables is about time I made some money for myself! I have been pretty generous with my neighbors not charging them a single penny but this year it's going to be different! I still plan giveaway a few to my elderly Neighbors! Have no family to speak of my siblings lives in other states! I don't drive I have two good neighbors and roommate I depend on! I've never had lots of money but even if you're poor as I am I can still help friends out! Most everything I've grown over the the years is from seed except my tomato and bell pepper plants! I grew 40 tomato plants + 20 bell pepper plants last year! I use my income tax check last year to pay for everything and here before I use my income tax to buy tiller! My garden as about 150 ft long how about 40 foot wide! I also have a buddy who has a used tractor and he uses the other half of my garden! His garden is about 300 ft long and 50 ft wide! He plows my Garden each year and I let him use the space in his garden! It's just the two of us I can take care of these Gardens! I almost forgot I gave away 50 watermelons last year he sold about 200 watermelons last year! I don't own the home I stay at it belongs to my roommate! But he has about 30 Acres where I live! I didn't mean to go and on!! Hahaha hahaha! Anyhow God bless you nice people! I live the place called Prospect Virginia my name is Barney! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
    PS sorry about my typos!

I am wondering if you planted all of one type cucumber together then the other type together? I also use a trellis made from wire fencing because that is what I have. I live out of New Orleans. Half of the back yard is my garden. My secret for having a very productive garden is the little hens and in reading the scripture I learned that the first fruit belongs to the the Father so I give away the first of the vegetable harvest. When there is too much for me, I bless my friends. Thank you for the video.

We were all in charge of weeding, sowing, and harvesting 3 rows of whatever we were assigned. I always got tomatoes, corn, and even more corn. That is, until the day my dad found out that the tomatoes were not producing as much as they should be, and he also found a salt shaker in my pocket.

I dated a Vietnamese girl years ago and she made this salad; Slice some radishes and cucumber paper-thin and layer them in a pie plate, sprinkle with some salt. Mix together equal parts sugar and rice vinegar and pour that over the radishes and cucumbers. Let it marinade in the fridge for an hour. Drain the liquid and toss the radishes and cumbers with chopped green leaf lettuce. Put servings in chilled bowls and top with some fresh cilantro. It's delicious and I still make it every year. It's a good way to get rid of all those extra cucumbers and radishes. ;)

I'm 60 years old I've been growing a garden or 9 years! It sure beats the world out of just letting grow in the ground. I depend on ideals this great video! Thanks
Also for the Christian symbols you have in the video! This is my first time watching your videos! God bless you too!

i enjoy your shows, the full benifits from the vegetables are received when the vegetables and fruits are eaten within 10 minutes of picking. The life force that is in all living things is in it 's fullest when first picked, therefore it needs to be eaten within 10 minutes to get the full benefits for health. Life force cannot be bottled it is what makes all living things alive. The more life force we eat the healthier we are.

I grew up on a farm and we had black muck dirt so we never had to amend our soil.. but now Im in Western NC and the soil here is rock hard clay.. So amend I must do heartily.. I just not sure what type of fish... please just one recommendation? Thanks!! Appreciate it and Im a SUPER FAN of your prayer at the end. The best cuke in the world is the Korean cucumber. Without a doubt it's the best! It is a hybrid but I've been successful with F1 seeds.
Given they're inexpensive I usually just buy seeds (about $2 - average 16 count) each year. They are also a fantastic pickling cuke.
I make refrigerator kosher dills as well as pasteurized dills. A fantastic cucumber!

They have grown Cucumbers up-right in Nursery's for years here in England. When they get to 2m high (6ft) they then lay the stem down along the ground and then carry growing up another 2 m and so on until they reach the full length of about 9m (30 ft) per plant....... they grow tomatoes in the same way, it's amazing to see them grown that long
