Lord my brother!! Those tomatoes look so good!!! I wish I lived in a climate where I could grow Year round like you and Nancy. I grew some carrots over the fall and never could get my greens to take off and grow so going to try them again this spring when I get my raised beds up and going. I raised my tomatoes last year in containers and going to get me some blood meal this year to miss with my bone meal. The Epsom salt really does work, I took tums last year ground them up and used those for my calcium and it worked amazing.

Just ordered some Washington Cherry tomatoes. I will plant the seeds the day I get them. I will grow them in as much sun as they will take. It is April 30th but giving it a shot because they are determinate and maybe harvest by Mid June. I can move them to shade as needed. I am harvesting lots of other cherry tomatoes right now so no problem if they don't make it. I'll do ten plants for this year and save the other seeds (250) for cooler weather. I'm excited to see them grow. Thanks for all your help.

Good morning sir, I was wondering if the fertilizer blend you use for your tomatoes on planting is the only fertilizing you do to them while they are growing or do you supplement with something during the season. They look quite healthy!!

    • @HollisNancysHomestead

I have been gleaning from your wealth of knowledge and expertise for growing and producing excellent food! Enjoy the way you present in such a way that is easy to understand and use audiovisuals for each step in the process. As a former nursing educator I really appreciate your teaching and presentation styles. Most of all I appreciate the fact that you two are faith based and give God all the credit through our Lord Jesus Christ!! Don't change! I want to pick your brains just a second. I do most all of my growing in 40 gallon containers and as I prepare to amend my soil in these containers using the model you use Hollis, my question is when using the bone meal and blood meal can I use lobster/crab meal in addition to these 2 or should I use either bone meal or lobster/crab meal, not both? I checked again just TWO days later when the weather was warm and sunny and the leaves grew even more like crazy! Thanks for the reply. I promise you that it's the sweetest tomato I have ever tasted. It's just like they fell off the face of the earth. Can't remember the name of them. Hopefully what you are describing is the one I'm looking for

Another cherry I like but must be grown in the ground is the Celebrity 100 Super Sweet (Indeterminate). It is a very sweet cherry tomato

@@HollisNancysHomestead I have grown them in the past and yes, they're a goodun but these were even better. Don't know if they doctored them up during the growing but they are some kind of sweet. If I ever do run across them again, I'll definitely let you know.

You sure have a green thumb. Hollis, I was wondering what kind of watering wand and sprayer you use? 8 looked on your Amazon store but I didn’t see it. 8 might have overlooked it. Thank you.

Thanks for checking out AMAZON Storefront. Yep, it’s not on there. I got it at LOWES. It’s made by ORBIT. It’s on the isle with the garden hoses

How much does your soil cost to make? Also the additives like phosphorus etc.? How long do the additives last, do you have to buy some every season/year? Do the cherry tomatoe plants regrow the next year or do you have to make them from seeds every year?

Have you ever tried dollar tree seeds? You get 4 packets of seeds for a dollar. I would love to see you try some for those of us that are really struggling to eat healthy with very little money.

What tiller/cultivator do you use? Has it lasted a long time? And if it has, will it go through tough, never tilled dirt?

I have a large walk behind deep tiller for working never worked soil. It’s a Troy Bilt. You can see me using it on our garden soil video. The small cultivator you see me using in a lot of my videos is a HONDA 1 HP. It is on our AMAZON Storefront on the About Tab on our channel. The last on I had lasted me 7 years. I have had the one I have now for 6 years and it is still going strong. ruclips.net/video/Wgiv8jhyFWs/видео.html
