I didn't sleep going to Six Flags first time. That's why we have to redo our entire trip...
Everytime I have a full day at the water park , six flags , or something requiring a good nights rest, I end up staying up watching videos instead of falling asleep, and then I'm a grouch.
Now it goes backwards going out and froward going down

that's what I hate about rollercoasters. I always have to take my glasses off and I can't see anything

I rode this as a kid the first summer it opened. My older brother told me not to worry as it was a very tame ride. As we were boarding ,however, he leaned over and told me how in testing many of the test dummies would routinely come back without their heads. Nothing to worry about, though, as they added the extra side cushions to help prevent this. As the car moved into position he warned me to keep my eyes open to be ready to grab onto something in case my harness came loose. Best ride ever.

Right out of the gate.....that's a neat concept. Two trains loading up on opposite sides of the main line, shifted over by hydraulics, computers and magnet-locks! Very neat!
And yeah, that ride looks scary as the frozen seventh circle of Hell! How appropriate!

Not a lot of people know, that when Mr. Freeze opened in 1998, it had the tallest inversion of any roller coaster in the world: a 150' inverted top hat - which is nearly the same height as the lift hill on the New Texas Giant.
It was surpassed by Volcano: The Blast Coaster months after opening.
They changed it. It goes backwords now and alot faster when it takes off.

I rode this baby in 2007 on my trip to Texas. It was a rush and reminded me of The Chiller at my home park Great Adventure.

I really love this ride! For two reasons!
Its not rough and the whole backwards and forwards thing is very unique compared to like a Vekoma Boomerang Coaster.
And I love the theming in the line!

This was the first coaster I ever rode and ive been hooked ever since. Lol
I've been on both the original Mr. Freeze and the renovated "Mr. Freeze Reversed Blast". I loved them both, but the Reversed Blast seems a bit smoother and now they don't really give you a count down before the launch. I like the vertical spike when you're looking down and you pull up right before you hit the ground. It's always fun to see the reactions of first-time-riders on this coaster...lol
I love this ride and the sound it makes. I just got my 12 year old on it a couple of weeks ago and she was almost crying when it was over. Lol
Is this ride still in operation? Does it go by a different name?

God imagine being on the mini mine train right next to the Mr Freeze track when this thing cycles
I rode this rollercoaster today. It made the Titan seem rather tame in comparison. My wife had to close her eyes part way through the ride.
My first time being on mr. Freeze oh my God my stomach was hurting my heart was racing I was shaking by the second time I got on I wasn't that nervous but my God I enjoy that ride lol
I love mr. Freeze I love a good scare it just makes me feel that I'm alive

When I was little, my childhood best friend and his older brother brother and I went to six flags over Texas together. We got on mr freeze and thankfully his older brother realized his seat belt wasn’t clicking into place on time. I still have nightmares where I’m clinging onto the seat belt because of that incident. Lol.
The ride would not have taken off. The computer would let the operator know a seatbelt wasn’t in tack and even if the operator missed the signal it wouldn’t have launched.
I learned this after not being able to get myself situated on the Green Lantern at SF, NJ! 😰Had a complete utter panic attack and got off crying at the thought of it taking off with me not secured. The people who came to the park with explained to me what I just mentioned to you. Felt bad we missed the ride because of me, but they all rode it on a previous trip 😅

omg i love this ride in all but every time i tryed going on it they kept saying oh we have to close it down because people kept throwing up on it
It's the one ride where you want it to have a long line so you can hang out in the air conditioned queue.
There is very little air conditioning in that “queue.” Unless they fixed it since the last time I rode. I would make sure to keep an ice pack handy.
I know i'm getting old when I am feeling scared just watching this video.

Man, that looks like a fun way to spend a day.
All rides in the park are free. Flash pass is something that you can purchase (there are different packages available) that allow you to schedule the time you want to ride a ride, then when that time comes you get into the flash pass line and then ride the ride. You still technically have to wait, but you're not actually in the line. Some flash pass packages allow you to ride certain rides twice in a row. (I work there, so that's how I know all of this).
I rode on that, the scariest ride I ever went on in my life. The second scariest is also in six flags located in California and it was called "full Throttle" (the world largest loop roller coaster). The third scariest are both Titan and Goliath which is the same roller coaster but different names in different states.

Honestly, i think this one was scarier than the Titan. But loved them all and they are all sooooooooo fun
wow, i havent been to six flags in half a decade since i moved to pennsylvania, god i miss that amazing park.
i have bad anxiety over this stuff. just watching it on this video made me sick to my stomach and my toes curled. i legit have goose bumps rn. i dont think i will ever overcome this and tbh i dont want to.

This was the scariest ride but it was the funnest ride
I remember riding this the first time putting my hands up when it first takes off & I swear my shoulder popped out of place & popped right back in. Just a FYI keep your hands on the designated place.

The upside-down top hat is not as scary as it looks, nor does it cause any discomfort. Looping non-coaster rides (that just go in circles) give you way more hangtime

I've been saying the same thing about Six Flags Over Texas. I live 15 minutes away from the park and I think it's time we got some stand up coaster or Flying coaster like "Tatsu" over at Six Flag Magic mountain or rides like "X2", you know what I mean? Something new. I ain't gonna lie, "Mr Freeze" is the shit though! It's probably one of the best 5 coasters in the World, and "The Texas Giant" is the most increadible Wooden- Steel coaster in the World! "The Titan" is sweet also!
Because the year SF got new managment they wanted to repaint the tracks on both Mr. Freeze in Texas and in St Louis (mirrored clone). St Louis got dark blue track and supports and we got bright red track and bright blue supports. Don't know why its red, I heard it was something to do with the heat but I doubt it. Someday it will get repainted and it may be another color who knows.
This reminds me of the Great adventure ride the Chiller but instead only having a single train yet i am suprised this is still open. The one at Great Adventure closed 11 years ago yet this one (similar make) is still running.
I've rode this soooo many times and never screamed...
I find Mr. Freeze to be the most intense coaster in the whole park. I probably still prefer Titan as I love hypercoasters but Mr. Freeze leaves you with that drunk feeling for like 5 minutes after getting off it.
They use to have this in the New Jersey Six Flags

In the Six Flags in my town, the switched it to where it goes backwards first, then forward. XD
It now has one that starts forward and one the starts backwards. After 9 when the lines are extremely low, I went back and write it the opposite direction ;-)
It's kinda cool how Batman is dropping right after you leave the tunnel at 0:23
