Besides having a stop that's too long in the middle (for a ride that's too short), why bother theming if all you see is a bunch of supports? This one's going to be quickly forgotten.
I don’t like roller coaster that much but I can handle 80 foot drops. I’ve also never been on a ride with cord areas of a loop. I’ve been on a launch coaster the goes 40 mph in 2 seconds and it was fun! Would i like this coaster or would it be too intense?
I rode West Coast Racers on Monday night when I was at Six Flags Magic Mountain with my parents. My dad and I rode it, and I'm thinking about giving my honest thoughts and opinions about the ride.
It's a solid ride. Rode it yesterday, 23 Dec. Luckily with no wait because of the absolute crap weather. This video doesn't capture the best part: which is the incredible duel visuals. Lots of lead changes between the trains so you see a lot of the other train. It's great. It's like a perfect Twisted Colossus run every time. It's not very intense but it is fun. Wait times will probably be kinda bad when it first opens but probably not as bad as Full Throttle as the advance/park delay is much shorter. Dispatching and launch were shorter than this video showed when I went but the trains are tight and the harnesses are funny so I don't they'll be breaking any speed records either.
I've been on this and it was pretty fun, but the seat belt buckles that criss cross over the shoulders should be tighter and so should the abdominal restraint
Everyone keeps finding the worst if this ride which is so unfair. Can we appreciate the fact that MM at least got an awesome new launching and inverting coaster.
No MM is a ghetto crappy park. This ride has no themeing and they could've had some kind of exciting show effect during the pit stop but they don't. This park is for idiots easily entertained by cheap thrills. It is an idiot park
LAB-Lil' Angry B!tch wow you’re username is very accurate, and this isn’t even open yet, it opens in January this just a test run. They are going to add more themeing. I live very close to discovery kingdom so that’s my home park so magic mountain is my second closes six flags park and I just don’t understand all the hate. Why do you think I’m a bad personality for defending an amusement park I enjoy going to?
Rode this ride yesterday, and wow people are overly negative. The ride is super fun, has good air moments and inversions, but it’s the racing that makes this ride fun, the POV looks really bad, but riding it is really fun, I personally rank it 3rd at the park. My only gripe being that pit stop, but I think they will change it in the future
A lot of these comments seem to be forgetting that this is an extremely technologically advanced coaster that is prone to issues. Plus, it is Premier, so it is guaranteed to be butter smooth.
People are complaining about the pit stop but I think there was a mistake....they sat there for at least 2 minutes, it seemed like the ride got shut down/stopped at that part. It’s a new ride so it’s not impossible
I can't believe people are talking about this like it's the worst thing ever created. It looks really fun, though it also looks like the kind of ride that craves physical theming and atmosphere, or interactions with the terrain. The biggest letdown about the ride is the stop before the launch on the second lap. It could almost certainly be solved with a dual loading station, but it could easily be made less unbearable with some sort of theming in place. Those are issues on the park's end, though- the ride itself, as far as layout is concerned, looks like an amazing addition. I guess some people just won't settle for a fun medium-sized attraction.
@@loki3523 This is a secret list project that would usually not be constructed because of business costs. With this roller coaster, the reason why it is needed to be constructed is that it is authentically a California roller coaster. Similar to the new steel curtain in Pittsburgh, which is all about the history of the American steel and manufacturing industry (to honor the great families of Carnegie and Heinz). This one needed to be constructed, and it needed to be great. no intention of comparison here. That park was a park that just constructed its main attraction. Of course, things are much different for Disney, because they were not included in the history as being a roller coaster attraction park as much. Their interest is, what is the best you got(speaking of the new Tron coaster in Orlando). We have to have something great, we are loosing to our competitors. These family-owned parks are much different. The government has two separate industries. I agree it could use a little theming. It is an impossibly high cost for this roller coaster.

Yup, that's what it's supposed to be, yet folks are on here complaining that it's not thrilling enough.
Wow didnt realize you get to ride both tracks the same ride! That's so awesome
Ik their two different companies and ride styles. But why did magic mountain add two mobius loop racing coasters back to back? Twisted colossus and then this? Lol
The ride is amazing but I wish there were more ejector airtime hills. The high five elements provide amazing ejector airtime and the rest are amazing floater airtime hills
They should put speakers around the launch tracks so music plays
Very cool video. Thanks for posting and have a nice day too.
Besides having a stop that's too long in the middle (for a ride that's too short), why bother theming if all you see is a bunch of supports? This one's going to be quickly forgotten.
sharkheadism you know the theming isn’t complete, right?
sharkheadism Literally shut the fuck up lol
@@ale-vg4yq No bitch
@@NorthEasternMotionProductions Do you really think you're going to be blown away by the additional theming?
sharkheadism maybe idk. If it officially opening in a week, then they could do quite a bit with the new theming.
I mean, it’s better than Full Throttle (not a high bar, lol). But sitting still in the middle of it for like 75 seconds is YUCKKYY
I went on this today it was fun had my hands up the whole time
Do you get any air time on that hill @ 1:56
One of my fav rides!
But X2, the best ride
I want to go on it so bad now I love rollercoasters SM.
They let u get on with your camera? I kept having to be sneaky with my go pro on my wrist.
I've been on this and it was pretty fun, but the seat belt buckles that criss cross over the shoulders should be tighter and so should the abdominal restraint
Awesome! This does remind me of a ride I took in my native country of Sweden called Helix at Gothenburg's Liseberg in southern Sweden. A lot of fun.
i went last saturday for members only and it’s an okay ride, there was some airtime but not as fast i thought it was gonna be
Everyone keeps finding the worst if this ride which is so unfair.
I live 5 hours from this park so I’ve only been there like 4 times but from what I’ve seen, it’s a great park and isn’t ghetto at all, that was the 1990s and early 2000s.
Qris EXCUSE ME!?!? What on earth did I say to upset you? All I want is for people to look at the positive side of things and stop hating on this park. I live very close to discovery kingdom so that’s my home park so magic mountain is my second closes six flags park and I just don’t understand all the hate. Why do you think I’m a bad personality for defending an amusement park I enjoy going to?
Six flags Great Adventure should have gotten this, Six Flags Magic Mountain a already has Twisted Colossus a racing coaster.
@@ArrowThrills nah y'all are good with your raptor coaster
I expected a lot more theming. On-board audio would've made a huge difference as well. I'm curious about night lighting as well. Is it dark?
Rode this ride yesterday, and wow people are overly negative. The ride is super fun, has good air moments and inversions, but it’s the racing that makes this ride fun, the POV looks really bad, but riding it is really fun, I personally rank it 3rd at the park. My only gripe being that pit stop, but I think they will change it in the future
The mid-course section wouldn't be bad if this was at a park that knew how to do theming, pre-shows, and open rides on time.
This is going to have long wait times cause of the capacity and length of ride.
@@ween6301 that won't last
A lot of these comments seem to be forgetting that this is an extremely technologically advanced coaster that is prone to issues. Plus, it is Premier, so it is guaranteed to be butter smooth.
I went on it yesterday and it was super fun the most crazy one I went one was twisted colossus and next time I go I’m gonna go on viper
I was there that day and It was so fun!! The best ride
u can actually see me and my friends in the yellow car at the end of the video. im the one in the orange shirt. on jah.
Yeah I saw you
Thiz looks so cool!! I can't wait to get back out to California to ride this 🤩🎢
🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
So you get two ride cycles?
People are complaining about the pit stop but I think there was a mistake....they sat there for at least 2 minutes, it seemed like the ride got shut down/stopped at that part. It’s a new ride so it’s not impossible
A gift that has originality which takes time to get up to speed. Certainly a great addition to any park.
They definitely need launch/race lights. To build the anticipation.
Gi Jo the launch is pretty slow lol
budget cuts
Facts like top thrill dragster at cedar point
Ok, completely unrelated to the comments.... BUT HOW DOES HE KEEP HOLDING THE CAMERA?
The ride is awesome and amazing when I was standing there it looked slow and boring but once I was on it I was rocking
That looks pretty awesome!
The airtime looks sick but it does look a bit slow though. :/
The next time i go to sox flags imma run straight here because ik later its gonna be packed
Thanks for putting this up for all of us that have been waiting for our first glimpse of this thing. how did you like it?
I personally liked it! Definitely not a high thrill coaster, but I thought it was still fun!
@@coastercrutchfield Thanks
Wait time for this ride long I bet
Mobius track?
benjamin denton yes
Track length: I N F I N I T E
The yellow track would of look better if it was blue and it would match the rides logo
I was waiting but it looks like a Blooper! But never know til u ride
So are they gonna add onto the pitstop?
Hmmm how'd ya get POV?
I guess they took their phone out when they got on the track to launch... I tried and they told me to put it away. Btw- this ride was really fun but had to wait over 3 hours to ride and with the technical issues they had made it worse. Overall it’s really fun I would rank 1)X2, 2) Twisted Colossus, 3) Tatsu, 4) full Throttle and 5) WCR 🚗🚙🚙
Theme Park ERT they probably got pivothead glasses on there somehow
Pivothead glasses
@@coastercrutchfield wasn't filming on-ride not permitted?
@@mark2thed281 I was not told/see anything stating otherwise
Looks fun, wish it was longer though
I love this ride
In real life its so fun the video doesnt do justice i went 2 days ago it was great you also get to go again so its great
Fuck they work quick its getting ready for launch day
What do you use to record
Meh. Looks fun but nothing more. Obviously POVs don't do a ride justice but hopefully there's more to this coaster than what meets the eye
There is not, I rode it yesterday it was pretty mediocre
It was awesome and amazing, i loved it.
Just ride it expecting it to be fun, don’t expect it to be thrilling, you’ll have a great time, its the racing that makes this ride fun :)
ॐ गणेश ॐ idk I had my friends on the other train and it was a blast almost half fiving them and trash talking before the first launch
