I'm very lucky. I got my '23 intl brand new from leasing and i haven't had any issues with it. Knock on wood ten times. Almost 100k miles. But that red eng lt usually means the truck is about to shut down. You were very lucky to make it to the terminal. Most of the new trucks operate very well except for a bad egg here and there. Its very hit and miss. I had a '19 freightliner i put 350k miles on without issues. If you get a new truck you just have to trust that it wont give you any problems.
I'd say quit, they usually route you to a terminal before they fire you. But I wouldn't abandon equipment. It's hard to get another job when you do that.
Was it maybe to do with the turbo? Maybe why it sounded quieter too lol. I tried to listen but couldnt tell. Just low power n quieter had me thinking. Know you were sitting still when you said it was quiet and wouldnt really notice turbo noise sitting still but eh just came to mind. Peace...be safe out there.
My guy If you go lease, get you a freightliner.. International lt's are nice and all but that A26 engine can be a nightmare, reliability is just not there compared to a freightliner with the DD15. Best of luck to you bro 💯🤙
