    A lot of companies do their miles based on zip code instead of Address. That could be what you're seeing as well.

    Most companies pay shortest route thru HHG. Some are paying practical miles, but that is still a little shorter than actual hub miles. If you can stay under 5% unpaid miles thats good. Thanks for your videos and time it takes to make them.

    Most companies by, what is known as, PC Miler. It's not exact location. It's based off of stuff like City hall to city hall or post office to post office. Unfortunately, it is most often shorter as it's based off "as the crow flies. If at your pick up you were to go straight up to the sky and fly straight to your delivery, that's how it's paid. They don't factor in turns, curves, road closures, detours, etc. Very few companies pay by what is known as hub mile, which means being paid by the actual number of miles that you drove. I'm usually shorted about 20 miles per trip on an average of 630 miles, 3 times per week. Don't be upset, that's the standard in trucking and has been for a long time.

    When you're hooking up back your rear axle under your trailer just enough for it to be under the front of it. Then, get out to check your trailer height. Dump your bags if needed. Then back under just enough so that the fifthwheel hits the trailer, inflate your bags, and finish backing under. That will keep you from putting your pin over your fifth wheel and getting high hooked. Be safe out there.

    If you go to another company. Always ask how they calculate their miles. Everyone is different. There companies that do air miles, zip to zip, actual miles, Randy McNally miles, etc. There just so many different ways companies calculate their miles

    Yeah that’s how it goes. Sometimes they pay zip code to zip code, or post office to post office. Sometimes it goes against you sometimes it goes for you. If your paid percentage of the load, it is the percentage of what’s left after all the expenses of the load are taken out and not what the shipper is paying to have the load shipped. If you’re paid by the hour, some companies don’t pay overtime if they cross state lines. They got all the bases covered driver.

    I have learned the zip to zip code pay. I always use my GPS map to see how many miles really is it taking company routes. Anything over 40 miles not paid is not right. Because some dms will really try to short drivers on the calculated actual miles. Now, being some companies do zip to zip pay. Which if your running anything over 40 miles, not paid, I'd be talking to my dm or their supervisor.

    • @indo3052
      @indo3052 7 месяцев назад

      Lets say u deliver to dallas and u leave florida. They paid zipcode to zipcode. So if u deliver to east dallas and u coming from the east u will get overpaid. Cause they paying u to go to the middle of dallas. If the destination is on the west side of dallas and u coming from east, u may have to drive a little further no pay because they paying to the middle of the city.
      To put it simple, they paying to middle of city to middle of city
      So sometimes u gonna get overpaid, or underpaid. Most companies do it like that. But its not a scam, u good bro
