  • The best snowmobile helmet I’ve ever bought.
The Delta R4 Ignite by 509 I’ve owned this helmet for a little over a year. This helmet has been abused and still held up great with one tiny exception which I show.
With that being said, it is still my favorite helmet I have bought for any vehicle yet so here is the review!
    Helmet: amzn.to/3GkRtmJ
I was not paid to make this review and I paid for this helmet with my own money. Although if you purchase using my affiliate link, I may receive a small portion which goes to fund other helpful reviews and instructional videos.
    Thanks for your support!

If you really want the best snow helmet available today you need to check out the CKX Mission helmet.. nothing else even comes close!

Be really careful with CKX....they bait you with two years extra warranty and when you contact them with a problem they tell you to go to the dealer where you bought the helmet and ghost you. They "don't deal with customers directly..." The dealers have no interest in helping you after the sale. What a scam! You pay a premium for this helmet with zero customer service or support.

@@BlueRage They don't bait you with anything. You get a 3 year warranty out of the box and if you want an extra 2 years you can register your purchase on their website for another 2 years. 5 years is the best in the business. They don't ghost you, their policy is that you need to go back through the dealer from whom you bought the helmet from to get warranty support. If your dealer hasn't helped you then that is the dealer's failure, not CKX's.

Very good review, spot on all features, how is the ventilation for summer months, does it flow a ton of air, and how are they with glasses/sunglasses on, do they hurt your ears?

This is a snowmobile helmet. You would never wear it in the summer

Sorry for late reply but awesome that you ask! I use mine year round and wear it all the time when riding my ATV in the summer months. It’s awesome year round and very comfortable. Even better than my LS2 motorcycle helmet in my opinion!

Do you need to have the cable connected to use the ignite feature or does it have a built in battery? :)

    • @Buildcultureyoutube
      @Buildcultureyoutube  Год назад +1

Cable has to be connected to the sled, it comes with the cable if your sled doesn’t have it. I made a video showing setup just haven’t posted yet.
Another option is buying a battery pack like this

@@Buildcultureyoutube okay, looking forward to that one 👍👍 Great overview of the helm, personally I can not decide between the r4 or the r3l 🤷‍♂️

I use a 12v battery with mine, kept in my pocket

Will it work for motorcycle riding? It is chilly a lot when I’m riding

I’m sure it will but the visor would probably be annoying and pull your head up at high speeds.
Also try a balaclava under your helmet if you haven’t yet. There are some nice thin ones that do wonders. I always have one in my jacket pocket since we have cool summers
