h9 is insane beats strymon stuff hands down ...imo.. because it sounds awesome and its in just one unit. even 2 h9s way cheaper than 4-5 strymon pedals. I still use a timeline but just for a few delays when the h9 in doing reverbs in the loop
Best Guitar Effects: where did the black H9 come from?
At around the 18 minute mark onwards, you can see the reflection of his hand in the gold (or brass) casing.

+Eric sin sinner No, this is obviously black. The gold limited edition H9 is very bright shiny gold. The lighting is bright in this video. It could be that this is a gold H9 with protective film covering the chassis...

Well ive never heard of black although it would have been my first choice, going to do a search for one, Im getting an H9 tomorrow, never had one
Eventide... Great "time based" signal processing. Digital Distortion, STILL ABSOLUTELY SUCKS !! PERIOD.
agreed. works as a kind of special effect, but not as main sound.
I completely agree and I own a rack unit Eventide- Amazing in countless ways. But the Over-Drives can be tough to deal with by themselves.
They work great as an occasional compliment to your Main Drive from an amp- to change the character of the distortion.
Kinda like a distortions effect for your amps overdrive.
If your try to use it alone as your Main Overdrive sound - lets just say it gets old really quick.
