I love that Eventide keeps responding to feedback and updating. The overwhelming call was for improved routing and multiple effects; they answered both in the last 2 major updates (plus OD which is love/hate at best). I love using the randomize function to find something new - always inspiring.
Hi Mr. Douris. I have a question if you'll pardon my years late to the effects video here. Lol. Will I be able to get basic OD and Etc from this unit as well or ? Is it packed with many effects other than modulation? I want it for it's main sounds here but I do not use much other than my amp. I plan on buying more gear. I'm learning guitar all over again. Lol. Old drummer. Lol

Love Danish Pete's playing...got an H9 max a week ago and haven't stopped experimenting. Awesome pedal. Yes it is expensive, but given what you get it is great value for money and the effects are top drawer.

Brilliant as always Mr Honore. Great pedal the H9 Max, new software release is great fairly hefty price but you get a lot for the money if you can get the 'head' around the outlay. .....Pete Thorn likes it so much he has 2 on his board !!!
3-4 effects at the same time, now that's what I was waiting for. Until now I was under the impression you could only use One effect at a time. This is worth the high pedal price :-)
+hawg427 You can use four effects simultaneously with the Boss SY-300, and there is a send/return loop between the third and fourth effects slots. Check out the manual: it can do a lot of cool stuff which has nothing to do with the synth engine, and it can be controlled via MIDI.
Danish Pete the demo's you do are fabulous , what a fantastical guitar player . This pedal intrigues me i might have to purchase.

this is very cool... but you not only need this stomp box but a nice crystal clear sounding speakers and a clear fendery amp.

Can these be controlled by midi from HX Stomp snapshots? Is it a simple process or do I need a degree in midi programming?
Those first two minutes of playing in the introduction was beautiful. It's a shame this pedal is so expensive but it is a quality unit.
I really wonder what use there is in the really artificial-sounding chorus effects demonstrated here. I'd prefer a simple reverb that made the guitar sound like it was being played in St Paul's Cathedral. The shimmer effect is gorgeous though, I could really use that.
I would like to hear it in context with a band. Drums, bass guitar etc.

Ok I have been googling H9 Max for about 2 3 days now. And still have a big confusion as the videos out there are before or after updates and I can t really figure what is the right answer of my question...
The question is ; Can I use lets say a reverb , delay and a vibrato at the same time and make as a preset ? ( And maybe save to a pedal switcher such as Boss ES-5 )
At the beginning of the video it seems it is clearly doable ... However ,couple different videos that I have watched about H9 s were completely opposite . I have seen people are using more than one H9 s to be able to use different algorithms together.
Anybody knows what I am talking about and clear that up please ? :)
MrBerosh only one algorithm at a time. There may be some algorithm that Contains both hence you see a lot of users end up getting two.

i don't understand where eventide thinks this fits on boards (chain) - maybe it's meant for people using minimal stuff on the floor
He didn't show, but you can actually 4 cable method it, and select where it sits in your chain per preset.......so phaser before drive, or next preset, reverb at the end of the chain, most people don't realise this.

I don’t understand. Why do people tell me i’d need two H9s because it won’t run two effects at the same time.... and then I see chorus+reverb in a demo video.
It’s because only a few of the algorithms have multiple effects combined within them (spacetime being one of them along with a tremverb and others) and are limited in the sense as you can’t really control what type of reverb/delay/modulation you want you’re just working with what the algorithm has. Depending on your needs if you wanted a specific chain of pedals you’d most likely need a couple of H9s to do so. If you’re looking for one pedal that would let you customize an entire chain of effects you may want to look at Zoom’s MS line. Hope that helps!

Yes have seen sax players that have pedalboards of 2 H9s and wireless mic pack.
Still i think that Strymon's Cloud setting is unbeatable when it comes to ambient reverb.
Yes and I have that pedal too, but I want Eventide algorithms now, have the Strymon and Neunaber and TC's now I will have the Eventide ones.

+Grekoh Moobybah Get what you mean about the price as it's a deal of money but it's brilliant does so many things .... I bit the bullet and bought one the H9 Max like this one ($799) .... don't think you'd be at all disappointed if you got one if the funds allow.
How I realized i need a MAX. If I bought a good Phaser 100 bucks, a good delay 100 bucks, a good reverb 100 bucks, a good flanger 100 bucks, a good distortion 100 bucks. If I get a MAX I have it all plus Pitch, Octaver, and everything in between for 700 bucks.

I often see boards with two H9s and loads of other pedals on them. I can't understand why anyone needs more than one H9. Can anyone explain this to me please?
I've heard it's because people want to chain effects together in a way that the H9 can't do by itself.
If you have an H9 max and add the core then you have 2 H9 max. Can't beat that and it gives you amazing flexibility.

But you tube teaches us that digital is crap. Only analog is good. That’s what they say about buffers. That only bypass is good. I guess not. This one is pretty good I say. Klon Centaur that is not true bypass sounds pretty good also. So don’t be guitarded people ! Don’t be victims of marketing!

Just got mine... You SHOULD WARN people that you have to sign up for an iLOK account, and all kinds of other flimsy hidden shit! Not only does it NOT support "Andoid" phones (yet) but to do any significant sound TWEAKING you will NEED to get a iPad (or iPod or iPhone or something "i"). Someone said you CAN use a MacBook, laptop, but since (in my case) its NOT internet connected, I have yet to look into that. If I had known the amount of crap one has to go through... I'd NOT have been so quick to get this thing. All this needless red tape sux.
