So he is trying to change the past (as someone else noted, just like Beast Wars Megatron was) to prevent a future he doesn't want as Unicron's slave. But unlike Beastwars Megatron, who sought to undo the Autobot/Maximal dominance, Galavtron's mission is more personal - stop Prime now so he never leads the Autobots against the Decepticons on Earth in the 20th century, thus preventing Megatron's near fatal duel with Prime, betrayal by Starscream and rebooted by Unicron. For Galavatron is not about the transformers as a race, or even the Decepticons as a faction, but all about saving his own skin. Doing so would entirely upend transformers history, and the sequence of events that lead to the emergence of the Predacons and Maximals would be entirely different. What is interesting to me is this: If this is, in fact, what Galavatron is up to, and this Megatron is on the path to do so, what will Predacon Megatron think of the plan? Will he willingly allow for events to unfold that could undo the existence of Predacons entirely as he seemed to want to at the end of Beast Wars, or will he regard such a move as a threat, and oppose his namesake's plan to monkey around with time to save himself?
Just imagine the ending of the Rebirth with THIS Galvatron... Galvatron : "... And anyway we will leave the Autobots think the worst is over, then we will attack them, and Cybertron will become OUR new powerful base to rule the universe" Zarak : "And Who shall rule?" That moment when you realize that we've had so many different versions of Megatron that look similar to his G1 counterpart, *but this is the very first version of Galvatron we've ever had that looks similar to the G1 Galvatron* (and all other Galvatron's have looked completely different from one another).

They did fight in the idw comics where galvatron ripped megatron in half but in that continuity gavaltron is not megatron remade but an aciant cybertronian who was around during the time of the 13 primes and he also was the one who disproved the legend about how the primes can't be killed.

I actually do love how Galvatron doesn’t outright say he’s Megatron from the future, just implies or hints at it. He wants to change the future and influence Megatron to avoid Unicron’s leash. And with how Kingdom could play out, it’s possible either Optimus or Megatron could change the future, but who knows if Galvatron will still exist or not? Will either Megatron or Prime change the future? Or does the WFC timeline work on Multiverse theory, saying Galvatron’s from an alternate timeline? Who knows until Kingdom comes out?
It would be interesting if at the time that the events leading to Megatron being turned by Unicron into Galvatron, that Megatron changes something that causes Starscream to be the one cast out to be found by Unicron instead. Well Cybertronian lookalikes do exist, an easy example is Starscream and The Seekers who all look exactly the same except for each of them having a different paint job. Megatron probably thought it was someone who had a similar body but was a different person like how it is with Starscream when it comes to The Seekers.

Probably the most epic scene out of ANY Transformers cartoons. Galvatron basically has the ability to jump between time and space itself, that’s just downright sweet.

You know this kinda reminds me of Beast Wars when Megatron went back to pre-historic earth to try and prevent the Autobots from winning. Kinda like how Galvatron is trying to prevent himself from having to meet Unicron like in the original movie (I know this isn't G1 just a reimagination of it). It's not exactly the same thing but it's pretty similar.
My guess is the BW characters went back in time in this timeline/universe. But the G1 characters will probably still be alive at this time so it could get interesting.
BW Megatron =/= Decepticon Megatron. BW Megatron only took on the name because of he idolized the OG Megatron. So that meet up in BW was more like if someone now had idolized Ghengis Khan and went back in time to meet him vs this is actually a future self meeting his past self.
The voice actor, Jason Marnocha, did a great job here. There's some similarities in the voices of Galvatron and Megatron, but they're different enough to sound like different characters.
During this scene I wondered why Galvatron didn't tell Megatron to kill Starscream? I gut tells me that Galvatron wanted Megatron to experience that for himself.

Seeing galvatron from the future meeting and helping megatron his past self reminded me of the uk marvel transformers comic time wars. Maybe siege should make time wars the forth chapter how about it hasbro.
It is not error, by this time Cybertronians have developed Transwarp technology. It allowed fast space travels ( space bridge ) and in future opened possability for time-travel ( Beast Wars ). But at first Transformers begun to utlize that technology in weapons, giving them ability to store them in some form of 'pocket' dimesnion. I am pretty sure it is what we see in this scene, while Megatron in his time doesn't have that tech ot simply don't use it, Galvatron has it and use it. I say welker was a much better option.

Universal/dimensional traveling is still easy and possible. 2. If all the multiversal singularities are gone, why is Nexus prime, Evil (elder god powered) Ramjet and weapons from the 13 still active. 4. And why is Unicron defeated by the true star saber (which can destroy the infinity transformers multiverse in one swing) and the Terminus Blade. Unicron was supposed to counter the shroud, not be defeated by the shroud. Unicron & Primus > true star saber > Terminus Blade. Sorry...but the process of the shroud IS ONE BIG “PLOT HOLE”
It’s funny, because when I first saw Galvatron and Megatron together in the siege series, I thought OK so they’re gonna make these two separate entities but no turns out Galvatron was just doing a little bit of time traveling. I’m not sure which, but I know they’re due exist certain continuities that do have them as separate entities rather than just Megatron upgraded by Unicron.
I like the attention to detail here. Galvatron technically being an upgraded Megatron, it would make sense that Galvatron was a much better fighter here. I'm glad the writers didn't make Galvatron and Megatron fight evenly since Galvatorn is suppose to be the upgraded version of Megatron.
G1 s3 frank welker galvatron voice had annoying high pitch squeaky voice which some viewers love or hate it the way he sound but earth rise galvatron sounded way better

After watching this season all i can say is that my childhood was happy to see Gen 1 and lets say others appear. Also F to my wallet now because my collection will grow now.
Who would think that Galvatron travel back in time to ensure Megatron never meet Unicron,with that making sure Galvatron himself doesn't exist in this timeline but he still exist in the timeline Galvatron and Nemesis Prime came from.
The Leader meets The Emperor and the plans for the future. Because in many ways Megatron still led the Decepticons even as Galvatron. Can’t wait for Kingdom to drop in May.
i just noticed this. after megatron fires at galvatron, it looks exactly like the part in TF the 1986 movie where megatron fires at prime and misses and prime runs up and hits him against a wall.
i like the differences between the way there fusion canons fire, megatrons canon crackles and flashes before firing, but galvatrons canon starts dim and gets brighter before firing
Increasing the speed of the video to 1.25 avoids having Megatron sound as if he has some sort of brain damage and it greatly improves the musical score as it did with the Prime Wars Trilogy.

@@hattanalshutaifi4587 Galvatron became insane after rodimus threw out of Unicron so nimoy version wouldn't work plus he only practiced for 20 minutes before voicing the character plus it was his first time voicing cartoons where welker was already established in Scooby do as Fred, transformers as Megatron, go bots as cykill, he man as skeletor and many more. I say welker was a much better option.

Yeah.... Nexus prime used the powers of the Star Saber and Terminus Blade in concert to solidify the walls between realities, limiting dimensional travel and splintering all known singularities into infinite alternate variations of themselves, nullifying the concept “Multiversal singularity”.
- but it seems there are some plot holes about the shroud.
1. Universal/dimensional traveling is still easy and possible.
2. If all the multiversal singularities are gone, why is Nexus prime, Evil (elder god powered) Ramjet and weapons from the 13 still active.
4. And why is Unicron defeated by the true star saber (which can destroy the infinity transformers multiverse in one swing) and the Terminus Blade.
Unicron was supposed to counter the shroud, not be defeated by the shroud.
Unicron & Primus > true star saber > Terminus Blade.
Sorry...but the process of the shroud IS ONE BIG “PLOT HOLE”

This was a joy to see, the whole Earthrise chapter was fantastic imo!!!
It’s funny, because when I first saw Galvatron and Megatron together in the siege series, I thought OK so they’re gonna make these two separate entities but no turns out Galvatron was just doing a little bit of time traveling. I’m not sure which, but I know they’re due exist certain continuities that do have them as separate entities rather than just Megatron upgraded by Unicron.

I like the attention to detail here. Galvatron technically being an upgraded Megatron, it would make sense that Galvatron was a much better fighter here. I'm glad the writers didn't make Galvatron and Megatron fight evenly since Galvatorn is suppose to be the upgraded version of Megatron.
Galvatron seems to indicate that despite being Megatron with more power, a price for that power can be such a curse that it's not worth it.
This series are so great and almost homage to G1 series!
Hope Galvatron would turn back in Kingdom or a distant reboot sequel movie like Megatron.

This is becoming one of my favorite transformers moments ever.
I wish theyd do a prequel to the series where Megatron was actually a good guy and leads the cybertronians against their oppressors to the point where he becomes corrupt and optimus (his protoge) rises against him
After watching this season all i can say is that my childhood was happy to see Gen 1 and lets say others appear. Also F to my wallet now because my collection will grow now.

This series is decisive to be sure. But it shure as hell made history. This is the fiest time this has been done in animation!!
Some was telling me that's supposed to galvatron from the original cartoon. There is no freaking way.
Who would think that Galvatron travel back in time to ensure Megatron never meet Unicron,with that making sure Galvatron himself doesn't exist in this timeline but he still exist in the timeline Galvatron and Nemesis Prime came from.
The Leader meets The Emperor and the plans for the future. Because in many ways Megatron still led the Decepticons even as Galvatron. Can’t wait for Kingdom to drop in May.

i like the differences between the way there fusion canons fire, megatrons canon crackles and flashes before firing, but galvatrons canon starts dim and gets brighter before firing

You should read "Target 2006" by Marvel UK from back in the 80s for the very 1st time Megatron squares off against Galvatron
Increasing the speed of the video to 1.25 avoids having Megatron sound as if he has some sort of brain damage and it greatly improves the musical score as it did with the Prime Wars Trilogy.
