As glad as I am to see Skylynx again after so many years, it's weird to see him as some kind of wise mentor figure 🤔
I agree, 'cause if I remember correctly (I could always be wrong of course) Skylynx in G1 was a Pompous Git. Seeing himself as "superior forces", encouraged others to "think like Skylynx", and was literally called "Commander Modesty" by other Autobots. The living definition of the word "Pride" wrapped in a two pack of Birds and Bobcats (just a figure of speech, I know he's more of a lion).
If whatever wisdom he has supports this behavior is up to interpretation I guess (you tell me, I'm likely not the best person to ask), but nevertheless, I don't see how that translated into a wise old mentor figure like you mentioned, who's speech is all slow and serious like........ pretty much everyone else in this trilogy so far. The way I see it, if he were to mentor someone, it'd be through HIS perspective; like telling how HE would get things done, and why it's the most optimal path.
Though again, that's just how I see it, and there is a likelihood that I misread something, or don't fully understand what I'm talking about.

This version of Sky Lynx is a Autobot Starscream . once tried to usurp his superior's place . I think he regretted pretty hard
I actually think the “nemesis prime” timeline might actually happen. It seems that originally things went like in the g1 show, since galvatron came from the future to change it, and he did: now megatron obtained the matrix. This could mean that now optimus could become unicron’ servant instead of megatron, resulting in a good galvatron and an evil nemesis prime.
This might be happen in Kingdom. But the detail is about the way it will transcur. Because we don't know what happened after Earthrise's ending: if the autobots and decepticons have survived to the impaction and if Optimus become Nemesis Prime and more stuff
To be honest i would actually like to see that happen

@@shadowmarauder6033 I mean what are they going to do? Retell Beast wars or ruin it? I never thought about how the show might continue, but yours makes sence. It even includes Nemesis Prime, who got hyped up in the trailer and than turned out to be a „possible future“

It was interesting to see a wise and humble Sky Lynx.
Skylynx went from demanding the matrix of leadership to demanding the better wealth of the bearer of the matrix of leadership
When I first saw this scene , I really thought that this, this is the moment that we have all been waiting for. I mean, I get it that this optimus has to deal with the death of his mentor, most of his friends, his leadership and his fear of what might happen . And the fact that Skylinx once wanted the matrix for himself but now the fact that he is helping optimus overcome his worries , it's really one of my favourite scenes. Optimus is getting the help that he needs and finally starting to act like not completely but close to the prime that we all love. But the very next episode all of that is gone . Yeah, I know that the director wants to saw us optimus getting to be a great leader but I still believe that the animated show of 2007 did it a little bit better. And, considering how things are going I came with two bossible scenarios. No1 the autobots and the maximals will fight with the decepticons and the predacons in order to get the matrix and fight unicron somehow and then optimus use the matrix in order to travel back in time and don't let megatron get the matrix and then land on earth and go with the G1 story. No2,is mostly like me 1 idea but in that case the autobots will go back in time before the war on Cybertron and make sure that none of this is going to happen . The show, still has potential and I don't want kingdom to ruin it

Not gonna lie...I was uncertain whether or not Skylynx would betray Optimus throughout his entire screentime...
Me too the way he kept pronouncing some of it almost kept giving the impression that all he was doing was just simply saying his urge for "redemption" was just simply an act and in reality he was just using prime to get him out of there and then still try to claim the power of the matrix for himself. But that obviously changed when he swiftly and selflessly jumped right in front of the blast that was supposed to destroy Optimus as well as his whole crew and ship. And thus in the end quickly killed himself off in just two episodes he was shown in this series.
Same here. I am relatively new to the franchise, so I don't know Sky Lynx. During the whole time, I thought he was plotting to scape and leave Optimus behind. But when he sacrificed, not only I was convinced he meant good, but also couldn't believe he died.
🙂 I honestly think this episode was the best one of the Earthrise Saga...
...and then Optimus actually went and most definitely got UNCHARACTERISTICALLY over-emotional when fighting Megatron aboard the Ark, and that most definitely *is* what caused him to have the Matrix stolen from him *by* Megatron. ☹️

I'm sorry, I just cannot take this scene or this episode seriously when Optimus is literally talking to a space shuttle cockpit.
Why not ? We all saw in the beggining, that Sky Lynx was transported to the Dead Universe by Alpha Trion.
@@infinitepowerTF Well yeah, but it's just the fact that they're trying to take itself so seriously... and Sky Lynx is a giant robot dragon that turns into a space shuttle. Like, don't get me wrong: I enjoy it when Transformers gets serious, but I know that, in reality, its also kind of silly and dumb fun. So when they take a, realistically speaking, silly looking character like Sky Lynx and try to make him a Yoda-like character, it just feels like a little much.
@@brendenmiles8564 Well in my case, I really like when they stop the action and discover the struggles within the character. That gives him or her more character development, something we usually don't see in a franchise like Transformers.

Imo Nemesis and Optimus should not be the same character. It's unfitting for Optimus to just turn evil. Nemesis should have been a clone. The Last Knight made that mistake, and I honestly hope Kingdom doesn't do the same.

@@adrianvargas4073 It's not about real life, bumblebee isn't a good candidate to be a prime, it just doesn't fit his characterization, and we'll need some more over-saturation than what his character already has.

So is Prime destined to die? I'm still confused on what Lynx meant. He said the future is unwritten then shows his death and then shows evil prime. I don't necessarily understand what they tried to hint it because I thought the tv show was going to connect with the movie at first but it doesn't seem so.
Basically his death will be the end of his journey if he remains true of who he is and aligns with the destiny that the matrix chose for him. But if he strays from it he will be destined to become Nemesis, a slave of unicorn which will doom their timeline

This is what future holds for Optimus but im not certain that Nemesis Prime will be another character or Optimus itself. I just remembered that in the G1 cartoon Optimus cames back from the death and with a pretty bad mood and tries to lead an invasion force in order to regain Cybertron.
