Excellent video there Dean, just recently stumbled across all the reviews for this thing. This is a total game changer. I have been watching loads of these videos. I will definitely be getting one of these as soon as I can find a UK supplier. The Atoll gets rid of so many annoying limitations involved with using L -brackets. Ideal for my larger DSLR.

A good review of the Atoll. I have had one for over a year and the only problem that I have had is when wanting to use a release cable. The port on the Canon R5 is on the front of the body so it can’t be fitted when the Atoll is mounted on the camera. I can get over this problem if I fit the cable first and then fit the Atoll, as there is an elongated slot in the foot that fits to the camera body which extends it enough to get the cable release on. It would be better if the plate was longer with a longer slot so that the cable release could be installed whilst the Atoll is fitted to the camera body.

Thanks for watching, and yes I have heard that with the R5, I'm wondering if the new Atoll X is better as it is a bit bigger and probably allows more room, the plate that mounts to the camera base is quite long too.

I have been using it since It launched this collar last year (The first Version , not the Version 2 as yours) . It has been so good and versatile and sticked with my camera permanently since then. However, there are so so many other manufacturers have been copied this product of Atoll. It is a shame on them.

You are right there, I'm amazed at how many of these have popped up. As I said in the review, I haven't seen or used the others but can certainly say that as a full time professional I have been using mine and I love it. The quality is second to none. Thanks for watching and your input.

I saw one review saying it flexed a bit, making long exposures blurry. have you had that issue?

I have been using mine quite a while now. I'm using a hefty GFX Fuji camera and Yes there is a small amount of flex but it certainly has not effected the sharpness of my images. Flex is not play hence not an issue for me. Hope that clears it up for you.
The flex is due to the design of this style of mount not a fault as such
