Then you can recharge it to 100% without turning it on (the light next to the charging hole will be white when the Victus is completely charged)

My device HP- 15-bs147tu (this is the process of "manual calibration" for a new battery if it's been asked for you to do by HP support assistant)
The video and the redirecting link actually helped me to manually calibrate my battery and here I'd drop the procedure which i followed so that i hope someone would find it useful someday...
This note is just for someone's knowledge and no harm intended♥️🤙🏼
    1st step - charge the battery to a 100%
2nd step - disconnect the AC adapter and turn off the laptop notebook
3rd step - Press the power on button and immediately keep pressing Esc button until a text on the screen notifies to take you to bios settings
4th step- press F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu
5th step - select the language you want to proceed with if it prompts
(Here i tested the battery from the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu" which took me 2 mins to test before windows start up, so you can follow the steps from 6 to 10 if you want to do a battery test as i did orrrr proceed following the steps from step 11 onwards)
6th step - select component test from your cursor
    7th step - click power
    8th step - click battery
9th step - click on Run once (this test will end soon so that you can proceed with calibration procedure)
10th step - After passing the battery test ( which mine did) click on main menu
11th step - click on component test
12th step - click on memory (as mine didn't have the Hard drive option like in this video)
13th step - click on extensive test
14th step - click loop until error (this will drain your battery which you did charge for 100% to absolute zero percent and the only purpose of running this test for you is to make your battery drain
●TIP- The time for this process to end will depend on your type of notebook..mine was already was a stupid notebook which i know isnt the greatest therefore it took me around 2 hrs and 25 mins to completely shut down )
15th step - Allow the battery to cool down at room temperature for about 6 hours ( you just gotta do it and thats how mine worked so movin on...)
NOTE - DO NOT PLUG THE AC ADAPTER RIGHT AWAY WHEN YOUR LAPTOP RUN THE LOOP UNITL ERROR
16th step - After letting the laptop cool at room temp for 6 hours straight, go ahead and plug on you AC adapter (Don't switch on the laptop at this point just let it charge when it's still turned off) and charge the laptop to a 100 percent which you will observe when the LED indicator goes from amber to white
17th step - After charging to a 100% go ahead and turn on your PC which obviously will lead you to the welcome page and then to the Desktop/Homescreen
18th step - Hover the mouse pointer over the battery icon on your task bar to see the charge level of 100% and now unplug your laptop from AC adapter cause you no longer need it to be plugged in ( in my case i didn't observe the battery icon on my taskbar therefore i disconnected the AC adapter cause trouble isn't something new to me)
19th step - Click on HP support assistant icon and run battery check to observe whether it truly worked or not...well if it didn't just repeat the process and if your laptop still say you need to calibrate ask a friend or some authorized real dealer who's trustworthy to help you do it...and if both of you now struggle now um extremely sorry to say this but you might want to replace your battery.
Side tip - Authorized HP batteries might cost you some money but if you are determined and know some this n that about laptops you might find a reasonably A++ grade for about 30$
Step 20 - thats it😋 just follow good battery maintenance practices to avoid the struggle of purchasing new batteries frequently
Although, HP recommends you do calibrate your battery once every 2 to 3 months so you might have to do this again if your calibrating your battery manually...
If any of you need clarifications about ["my explanation process"] let me know down below cheers♥️

It was late when I noticed it from yhe website). Will it affect my notebook's battery calibration?

    • @YasasAttanayake
      @YasasAttanayake 2 года назад

@@polen7455 i don't think the effect is significant enough to it's performance immediately or like within 3 months or so but the reason as to why they ask us to keep something like 6hrs is cause the battery need some cooling time..as i said i don't think the effect is significant enough but it "might" have some minor differences in the long run..

I just got my battery for HP Pavilion power 15t replaced a few days ago. The battery holds up well as expected but whenever I charge, it doesn't go beyond 86% at which I get a message that the battery is not charging. I believe this is a calibration issue with my laptop. Will doing this help me solve the issue, if not what do I have to do to solve it?

Hello, I have purchased a brand new HP laptop (HP Pavillion 15 Intel core17 1165G7). The problem is, the battery remains constant after plugging the charger out. I was using it yesterday, it was 97% when i plugged out the charger, then i kept on using for 3 odd hours and then it remained the same 97% throughput and then suddenly turned off after 3-4 hours.
How do i fix this? This is a brand new laptop so there should not be any issue.

I have reached out to HP numerous times and received no replies back and surprise surprise my warranty is about to run out in 12 days. Am I to buy a new battery or AC adapter? Hi! I purchased an HP Pavilion 15 cs3017tx last February. I was only able to use in July. I have already tried the process above, but I have seen no improvements. Is there anything I can do to improve the battery life? However, I decharged the battery playing an avi file and doing the virus scan. Then I charged the notebook but the battery does not exceed 79%. The led is always orenge, it doesn't turn white. These instructions differ to hp supirt assist says to run it on hard drive component not memory. And half way looks like it's missed off instructions how can I trust what you say is the right way to do this. I need to k ow if I keep it connnected to power or not?
Even your android app takes you to a browser link for a manual on calibration does not exist this is disgraceful, you need to correct your literature with immediate effect!
    ------------------------------------------------
    Calibrate your Battery
Perform the following steps to calibrate your battery:
    Connect the AC Adapter.
    Fully charge your battery (99%-100%).
    Disconnect the AC Adapter.
    Shut down the computer.
Restart the computer and press the ESC key when the power light turns on.
Select F2 System Diags from the Startup Menu.
    Select a Language if prompted.
Click Component Tests in the main menu.
In the list of Component Tests, click Hard Drive.
NOTE: The purpose of the Hard Drive test is to drain or discharge the battery, not get the results of the test. The battery discharges and the computer turns off before the test results display.
Select Extensive Test. This test might take up to 3-5 hours depending upon your Notebook.
Click Run to start the test. Let the test continue until the battery is completely discharged and the computer shuts down.
NOTE:This test only discharges the battery and does not impact the hard drive.
    Connect the AC Adapter.
Charge the battery to a full charge, 99% to 100%. To make sure the computer reaches a full charge, keep the computer attached to the power cord for at least 3 hours.
Check the battery charge. Turn on the computer and start Windows normally, click to go to the Desktop, and then mouse over the battery icon in the system tray to view the battery charge percentage. Make sure the battery charge percentage is 99% or 100%.
NOTE:If you plug in your power cord and immediately run the HP Battery Check, you might get a false failure showing the battery is bad. If the battery is in a low-charge state (at less than 3%) you might also get a false reading.
Launch HP Battery Check using HP Support Assistant to validate the results.
If the battery status is still "Calibrate", you will need to complete the steps again. If the battery will not calibrate the second time it may need to be replaced.

The only few options I had when I press f2 is a quick memory check, is that sufficient which takes about 18 minutes to run the check. Thx

I have a Victus 16 that was working normally. After taking a friend’s advice, I performed a Battery Calibration as shown in this video to extend battery life. And it’s been terrible-my laptop no longer works properly. The cursor jumps and clicks randomly, the keyboard types on its own, and the main screen keeps flickering when I connect to a second monitor via HDMI. I don’t know how to reverse the Battery Calibration process; please help me (cry)

I have to replace the battery in my hp pavilion. Should I calibrate it after? Will new battery work well without calibration?

+Anna Dubasova All newly-installed smart batteries should be calibrated as soon as possible. This helps your system get an accurate reading on the battery's state of charge.

Hi, For Victus Gaming Laptop 16, in UEFI, there is No any "extensive test" and Loop until error. There is only a "memory test" which is quick and finishes in less than 5 minutes. How should I calibrate the battery since it lasts 2 hours?

@@HPSupport I have read all of these information. the point is I cannot find any option "extensive test" or "loop unit error". this is because, the UEFI version you are using is 7.2 but mine is 2.3 in spite of the fact that my laptop is quite new. please tell me how can I do that long test in this laptop. the only thing that I found in the link that you just sent is a diagnostic way by using a software. this method is different from going to UEFI and drain the battery. and as you better know, the goal is not to test the memory, but is to use this test to drain the memory. please give me a useful instruction.

    Hi,
    I recently bought a Hp envy x360 15 eu0556ng. I have one big Problem: I tried to charge it over usb-c and it didn't charge with a 5V 2A and a 10V 4A Charger.
The only solution I could look up is to reset my batterie. The dude in the Video held down the power button for 15sec.
Do you have any other information? Or should I buy a HP Charger with USB-C do solve the Problem??
