let say if we convert to the other oils.. let say if we go for the soy, canola or sun flower...yes that will not be produced in tropical climate country and no orangutan will lose their home..then the producers willl be europe or other regions with temperate climate. After sometime switching to these oils then the price per quantity for those each will get rise due to increase in demand.. more land of those area will be cleared to cope with the new increasing demand...offcourse there will be no orang utan or tropical tiger or elephant will be harmed.. but the ones that will get trouble must be the wolves, bears, european bison, iberian lynx, saiga antelope, european mink...european that, european this...bla bla bla...oh yeah, i am still not talking about those endangered animals in the united state yet...or in russia

you can use research and online alternatives that can be of same or even less cost. I use, for example, bar soap with no palmates in it, or toothpaste. It is a very slight difference. I ve stopped buying snickers, mars, chocolates and am happy to be healthier and spending less. Additionally, buying in bulk is great choice. I buy 10 - 15 kg of rice for about 9 - 12 USD. Just practical approaches. Hope you find yours.
