In this video, I talk about the Longer B1, but this is not a problem with this specific machine. This happens on various types of laser engravers, and although the values might differ from type to type, the solution to the problem is always the same as I show you here.
Thank the creators of RUclips for allowing people to upload these sort of videos I was going crazy pulling my hair out for the last 24 hours I'm so glad I came across your video Thanks for your help
I am having a problem with Alarm 3 Reset while in motion.GRBL cannot guarantee position. Lost steps are likely. Rehoming is recommended which I did. ON or near Line 0. Please help!
To answer this, I must see the whole picture. What machine do you have? Which type of GRBL is used? What is the mainboard and it's firmware (and have you updated to the latest available firmware yet?) Is this is al very specific, I (as a user, just like you) can't help you, unless you happen to have the exact same machine with the same settings as I have. I advice to contact the vendor and ask them.
Thanks for making this video. I have struggled with this problem for months since it caused my Longer B1 to rehome to slightly different positions. I changed my settings to $26=1000 and $27=1000. It is slower homing now and I have lost a little engraving area, but no longer get ALARM 8. I wish Longer Tech Support would have told me this a llong time ago. Thanks again!
Thank you sir I no longer have a alarm 8 problem I now have a alarm 9 problem, "ALARM:9 Homing fail. Could not find limit switch within search distance. Defined as 1.5 * max_travel on search and 5 * pulloff on locate phases." any advice on how to fix this one sir. when I ask light burn to home, nothing moves on the laser and then that alarm 9 code is displayed.
I have no experience with Alarm 9 in Lightburn, but I found a topic on the Lightburn website that might help you. forum.lightburnsoftware.com/t/complete-beginner-alarm-9-homing-fail-could-not-find-limit-switch/26528
Most probably in the laser settings in Lightburn or other software you are using, you have the X and/or Y offset for homing set to 0 instead of a value like 1 to 5mm. This is found under the machine settings.
Dear friend. I have a 20W laser cannon, suddenly alarm 8 appeared, then the cannon started to fail and went out, as well as the green PWM LED, it doesn't light up. can you help me?
Then, there must be another problem why you receive Alarm 8. There is not much I can do if you don't provide any more information about your problem, like the machine, your settings, etc. That said, I am not a lightburn rep, and if you have questions, complaints or other things about the software, it's best to contact their technical support. I am just a RUclipsr who found a solution to a problem that I had and posted it to help others.

It did Fixe the alarm 8 issue! thank you!!
hola como puedo evitar que me marque "error 9 alarm flame"
Try to set your flame detector less reactive on your laser. How? That depends on the type of laser you have.
tengo este problema de alarma 8 de ligthburn en una neje max 4 e80 no he sido capaz de configurarla correctamente
That's a pitty. I don't have that machine so I can't test it for you.; Sorry 😞

Mine does t even attempt to home now. I get the error right away when I turn it on. Any help with that? Ortur laser master 3, using Lightburn software

Hi does longer ray 10 watt have limit switches??
No, it doesn't have them.
You can home it manualy though.
Fixed my problem hehe thank you very much !!
Good to hear that. Enjoy your lasermachine.
Hi sir, Can you help me please on how to fix Alarm 9 in lightburn?
Sorry, I am not a lightburn specialist.
I ran into Alarm 8, and when fixing it, I made a video about it. Would I ever run into Alarm 9, then maybe...
im dealing with the same issue. Keep getting Alarm 9 Homing fail issue. Have you solved the issue?
Dear friend. I have a 20W laser cannon, suddenly alarm 8 appeared, then the cannon started to fail and went out, as well as the green PWM LED, it doesn't light up. can you help me?
Looks like a problem in the control board that sends signal to the laser. Can also be the cabling between the board and the laser module.
thank you for the tutorial, unfortunately my laser will not accept the parameters and save them for the homing debounce. keeps reverting back to 244
Can you tell me the brand and type of your machine?
What if this won't work? Thanks.

Hi Brian! Does this also work for the xTOOL D1? Thanks.
It's an error from lightburn software, and the software doesn't look at the brand or type of machine that is connected.
Ah! Thank you.@@3dPrintCreator
