      @@17ladrawde No it's not when he doctored the documents to claim WMD. Basically he was directly involved in manufactured consent for the Iraq war. Actually it's not dramatic to say that there have been proxy wars and regime change operations ever since. Please do your research because you are either ignorant or misinformed. When you displace people it tends to have a knock on effect which we have seen with the immigration crisis etc.

      This is because the European Rights Commission says a person does not have to claim asylum at the first country they arrive. Hence they try to come over the UK and claim asylum here. Either there is reform or the UK leaves European Rights Commission.

    I'm immigrant from Poland, i work hard and didn't took a penny from governent. I'm facing utilities price increase all taxes going up, and illegals are in hotels with pocket money. If UK keep rewarding people for breaking the law on expense of hard working people, UK will collapse. And electing communists don't help at all.

    Protecting its population is the main priority of government. Just because someone is fleeing war or persecution does not mean they are a good person. We need to fully vet people before we let them in.

      And the vast majority of those 40,000 illegal migrants are not feeing war, they're economic - there is no war in Morocco, Vietnam etc. And being undocumented and unqualified, they're the most vulnerable to joining gangs and criminal organisations to make a decent living, if not living off the government for the next 10 years+.

    Add a voluntary tax for woke people who want to fund free hotels and pocket money for economic migrants. They will also have to fund the extra, medical facilities, housing and schools. Most people who think this current immigration is great don't live in the communities affected, I mean legal as well as Illegal immigration. So far as the green debate goes, how long do you need to run an electric car (That we are all being pushed to own) for it to become Carbon neutral? We know how the Lithium is mined and the conditions of the workers, we also know that EV's have a shorter lifespan than internal combustion but with no re sale value.

      Anyone who wants to can pay more money to the government.
      There was a fund started to try and clear the government debt.

    Some of the panel see the ageing population as a burden. They are mostly people who have paid taxes their whole lives. Their contribution has been enormous. They paid in full already.

      @j94c Maybe cut back on supporting foreign wars ? Just an idea. Anyway it is poor form to describe those who have already paid in full as a burden. By that principle once a job has been completed an employer could regard having to pay for it as a burden.
      These people haven't just contributed a lifetime's tax, they've also contributed a lifetime of work.

These old people also used these services when they were young - that’s what they were working for (and let me tell you they got A LOT more for their money). We, the working aged folks, are now supporting the pensioners. Simple as mate.
