'A sick individual': Douglas Murray hits back at Alastair Campbell

- Author Douglas Murray has hit back at Alastair Campbell after the former UK Labour press secretary called for him to be investigated by the police.
It comes as last week the British government issued a warning on social media platform X saying; “content that incites violence or hatred isn’t just harmful-it can be illegal.”
On Friday Mr Campbell took to X posting a clip of Mr Murray with the caption: “Think @metpoliceuk might want to take a look at this book plug.”
Mr Murry joined Sky News host Rita Panahi to discuss Mr Campbell's “breakdown” over remarks made in ‘The Strange Death of Europe’ and how they foretold the current violence in the UK.
“This was the fact that I've used my eyes, in recent decades and I've also used my pen, and I have described what has happened to my country of birth, Great Britain and the continent of Europe, and indeed the wider developed world and the challenges that come through illegal and legal mass migration,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I never wanted to be proved right on this.
“It's interesting Alastair Campbell should have been one of the ones to try to start this pile on.
“Campbell was part of the Labour government that in the late 90s and early 2000, massively ramped up illegal and legal migration into the UK. He's one of the architects of this problem.
“He's a totally sick individual on every possible level. I make no apology for pointing out the terrible things that he and his friends did to my country.”

I used to be a very active member of the Left. I'm now politically homeless but absolutely support and adore Douglas Murray's writing. He's a sensible man that backs up his claims and assertions with evidence.

There is no Left or Right... There is only sense and nonsense and nonsense has always been the stuff that politics is made of... People are in politics to make money and force their ideals on others. It is just Lazy of so called academics trying to label people as opposed to identifying the fact that on different issues people believe in different things , a centrist for instance may very hold views from both the so called left and Right which then balance out to put them in the centre. The so called 'Left' tends to be full of people that do not think , but the the majority of people tend to choose not to think. As people get older they see what is happening unless they live in a bubble (many people of a certain class do).

You can watch the PMQ and the debates within the government about different issues, it is absolutely terrifying, it seems that they are using the fact that the real far right had to be stopped, in order to shut up anyone who doesn't agree with them and send the police to them.
This has nothing to do with protecting people nor is it about protecting minorities.
They don't lift a finger to protect Jews, but tell Jews to hide any symbol of being Jewish and just disappear from public view, so it is not a love of diversity or the public that drives them.

America (and I see why you get so uppity about how great it is) has been protected from this by its constitution, and the balance of powers between congress, states and the judiciary. The fact the judiciary only rules explicitly on constitutional grounds *is why* American culture is fighting back. Common law vs constitution is a great debate and all, until the government wants to subvert those principles. The founding fathers successfully predicted the need to *ratify under law* the details of civil liberties in the constitution. GG America, don’t trust the neoliberals or the progressives.
