or sometimes just for taking her virginity... even without pregnancy.

Billy worked with great musicians on his album. Superb production. Most notably Steve Stevens on Guitar.
This hearkens back to a time when if two young lovers were discovered, the girl was considered to be "disgraced" and they were forced to marry, sometimes at the end of the father's shotgun. This is anything but nice.

That's where I first heard of Billy Idol.
Most of the song is Billy interrogating his sister to find out who knocked her up, so he can take his shotgun and give the dude a choice between marriage and death.

How did I miss your reaction to this? One of my favourite songs of the 80's! A recognizable voice indeed ;) little sister is a name he gives his lover, like phil collins calls his lover "mama" in that song. white wedding stands for purity, innocence. although a lot of bad stuff is going on in the world, you can always make a clean start with a white wedding. I saw a documentary on Billy's life, and he really did live the rock n roll style, to a point even his girlfriend couldn't keep up with him any more. And his girl at the time was pretty rock n roll as well, coming from a punk band. You can see her in the clip of white wedding, playing his lover. than you for reacting to this song, Enoma :)

Thx 4this. I love this song so catchy but I keep hearing white wedding really means white powder of a meth " nice day to start again" means get back to addiction of drugs . So in the end I am confused with this pop song. But art great song has many ways to interpretation and I think " striking tune " is perfect way to describe. Totally karaoke im guilty
