With that said, maybe 🤷🏻♀️ The problem is that Billy Idol is a great performer/Entertainer, and an aight lyricist. The question you’re asking is, “is he speaking to his actual sister or is he saying “sister” the way James Charles or Cornel West says ‘sister?”
Answer: The only lyrical indication the speaker is involved in the relationship with “little sister” is when he asks, “who’s the only one?” & “who’s the one you want?”
Even then, it’s mostly implied in his tone as he sings.
I think it’s like that with most of his hit songs, they’re not really meant to be held up to scrutiny like that, they’re just pop songs.

The problem is that Billy Idol is a great performer/Entertainer, and an aight lyricist. There’s just not much to work with when it comes to the text, so a close reading is hard.
