For the record, it was Android 19 who performed the brain transfer operation to make Gero a Brain only android cyborg. So the clown thing was a literal brain surgeon, whodathunk.
I mean, it couldve just followed Gero's instructions as well, to conduct the operation and supervise it, maybe, with some robotice like a car emsambling machine
Important thing to remember: 17 and 18 are not actually androids, they're cyborgs. They were regular teenagers before Dr. Gero kidnapped them and modified them to be his weapons. They're mostly organic while the others are entirely robotic (aside form Gero who still has a human brain but the rest is machine). That's a big reason why Gero can't control them, would you obey someone who kidnapped you, mutilated your body to suit their desires and then tried to treat you like an object? Next couple episodes are going to be a lot of fun.
Thing is, we’re not supposed to know 17 and 18 are cyborgs until later in the saga AFTER Bulma and Dr. Briefs checked their blueprints. That’s the part people tend to ignore. Android (has less syllables than jinzoningen or artificial human) is more of a codename for Gero’s special creations of this type anyway. Hence why it worked during their introduction.
@@EWOODJ It was never a reveal. In the manga they're referred to as C-17 and 18 and 17 even brings it up in a couple episodes. Also Trunks reffered to them as half-man half-machine in his initial warning a few episodes ago.

Aaactually first time Goku met Chichi he thought a Marriage is a Banquette, and promised her to marry. So the Vegeta Joke was in fact a Reference to OG Dragonball. 9:30 its realy not much of a Plothole, he programmed a Machine to perform the Operation.
To be exact, it was meant as a joke in the abridged series, since it was never mentioned in the anime or manga that Android 19 did the surgery/brain-transfer. I think it was mentioned in a Q&A in the manga, or in a interview.
Fun fact: The VA for Gero's abridged voice is actually the same voice actor as the main character of a very popular anime called Overlord. So good for him. Now 17 and 18 have entered the fray. With a few surprises for everyone. Even Trunks. Especially Trunks.
1:44 fun facts that's basically how Goku got Married. Chi Chi and him met each other when they were Kids like 6 or 7 he promised to married her when they will get older but he thought that "Marriage" was some kind of food. They met a few years later at the martial tournament and she got so mad that Goku didn't recognize her and that he didn't understand what the promise meant that she fought him.
She actually fought him cause she thought he dumped her on purpose/knew what the promise was but still forgot (basically she thought he'd been toying with her heart) When she realized he was legit unaware she was just sad
i think part of what makes the androids so scary is their childish immaturity. everything’s a game to them, and like we saw in the history of trunks movie, they don’t even really have an ulterior motive. mass murder is just how they play. that and the dead-eyed stare. great costumes + awesome ep!
I realized something re-watching this. I knew Goku & Vegeta both worked off the _exact_ same OS, but, looking back? They're both equally dumb & straightforward. Goku hitting his head only made him _nice._
Not sure if someone mentioned this or not, but we actually owe 16, 17 and 18's existence to Toriyama's editor As he was not huge on the idea of the main villains being a "geezer and a doll" , so Toriyama did the exact opposite and created the much younger and unassuming counterparts to replace them as the *true* threat Trunks was talking about
*Ex-Editor. Torishima wasn't his editor anymore during this saga, so he phoned Toriyama when he saw the actual chapters after releasing, and Toriyama made the change because he trusted him. If Torishima were still his editor 19 and 20 wouldn't even happen with these designs and 16, 17 and 18 probably won't happen. What his actual editor at the time suggested afterwards was to make Cell transform so he could be less scary and more Freeza-like.
Happy New Year, Love the Dante and Bayonetta cosplays And yeah Vegeta just Murdered Trunks with that line "I don't listen to Bastards" you could feel the venom in his voice with that delivery, thankfully Piccolo played the good father with Gohan
Piccolo, who never really knew his father but at the same time is more or less his father's direct reincarnation, can still identify when someone is being a terrible father. Hm. I wonder what would have happened if Piccolo had been born earlier. He would have been much weaker most likely, since he wouldn't be King Piccolo's reincarnation (I know that's not exactly the correct term but it's some unusual circumstances), but if he had known his father's reign and been essentially a prince even for a short time, I wonder how that would have affected him.
Gero calling Krillin "Tien" is a callback to the androids having a hard time identifying people based on descriptions. Like when 19 identifies Yamcha as Goku because of his clothes and hair. It's essentially a bald joke.
Great reaction as always (Costumes are cool too, btw). A little tidbit of information that most casual, and even longtime, fans of the series tend to either miss or ignore: Dr. Gero, 17, and 18 are actually cyborgs (Humans with robotic enhancements) while all of Gero's other creations were/are androids (robots made to look and act human). The English dub just labeled them all androids since they figured fans in the west would get confused trying to remember who was what. Unfortunately, they were right. Thankfully DBZA pokes fun at that in a later episode.
@@Mari_Izu No less incorrect. Both by textbook definition and what we know in canon. SPOILER ALERT: We know that Gero is in fact a human scientist who enhanced his own abilities using his genius level intellect in the field of robotics. We know that 17 and 18 were orphaned teenage (At the time he found them) twins Gero took in and then forcibly experimented on. We know that robots can't reproduce, yet humans can. We know that Shenron can't change an android into an actual human, but he COULD remove a bomb from the chest of a cyborg. We also know Shenron can't revive Android 16 because he was a machine and only organic lifeforms (ie humans, saiyans, namekians and the like) like 17 and Future Trunks can be revived as they have souls where machines do not.
@@kaioken301 Being fair, the original Japanese had the catch all term "artificial human" and when #17 and #18 are the only ones that have mechanically enhanced human bodies, (Eighter, Metallitron, #16, and #19 are all robots, Gero/#20 is a brain in a jar, and Cell is bio-mechanical so while most filler/extra content depict him having a soul he's still technically a robot.) android is just a better umbrella term than making new distinctions between them and having two names when it comes to the same numbering system.
Freeza was a super sadistic villain, but even then you can sorta still see some humanity in him in that regard. The Androids from trunks' timeline are depicted as extremely unpredictable embodiments of destruction - regardless, they are still hilarious.
Actually, 17 and 18 are cyborgs. I only bring it up because it becomes a thing in the series, both for comedic and dramatic purposes. Still a lot of fun, though. 😁
Yep. 19 and 16 are real androids though. And 20 as Dr Gero is a cyborg as well, just like 17 and 18. While Cell is a biomechanical (which is neither cyborg, because it's been created from a full new body, nor android, because it also has living cells inside itself, which gives him the ability to evolve, both in shape and power, obviously) artificial human...but with the shape of a 6 foot 8 monstrous mutant green grasshopper (with black spots), pretty much.
Thing is, we’re not supposed to know 17 and 18 are cyborgs until later in the saga AFTER Bulma and Dr. Briefs checked their blueprints. That’s the part people tend to ignore. Android (has less syllables than jinzoningen or artificial human) is more of a codename for Gero’s special creations of this type anyway and he doesn’t care what they used to be.
@@EWOODJ Not entirely true, cause Trunks tried to tell Goku that they're cyborgs. That didn't stick, because Goku, and the first ones they end up fighting are basically androids, 19 especially. That's information for the characters, not so much for us in the Abridged series. Think I'ma shut up before I ruin some good jokes related to all that, though. 😅
For extra context reminder: Goku has a heart virus and he been suffering from it since a few episodes ago where he keeps mentioning he smells copper (common symptom of heart issues), that hes hot and his chest hurts. Trunks gave him the medication remember? Anyways it's making him run out of stamina significantly faster hence why 19 was able to get the W when he absorbed a Kamehameha.
So the deal with How Dr. Gero became an android was that after he built and activated Android 19, he had 19 surgically transfer his brain into the android body and became Android 20.
Some info about the androids that have probably been said before, androids 17 and 18 aren't actually androids. They're cyborgs, wich means they were once human and Dr Gero made them robotic. 16's origin will still be explained in the abridged and you'll love him lol (And yes, 17 and 18 being androids is actually relevant for the story as it implies they're still human, both mentally and with some important organs, such as the reproductive ones)
Thing is, we’re not supposed to know 17 and 18 are cyborgs until later in the saga AFTER Bulma and Dr. Briefs checked their blueprints. That’s the part people tend to ignore.
Dr. Frappe is a scientist in classic Dragonball, who is only a filler character. He was said to be the creator of Android 8, who will never come up here. Looks like Frankensteins monster with 10 meter wide shoulders.
To be fair, when Goku thought marriage was a food, he was still a kid. That's how bad Chi-Chi had it for him: she was talking about marriage when they were both still kids. By the time they actually married (I think around the time Goku was 17), Goku knew what it was.
@@BJGvideos Sort of, yes. It all happened during the Goku vs Chi-Chi "fight" at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. Goku asks Krillin what marriage is and Krillin and Yamcha both explain it to him. He later agrees to marry her right after he knocks her out of the ring, essentially because he didn't want to break the promise he made when they were kids. Chi-Chi was elated, underscoring again just how badly this girl had it for Goku: she didn't care _why_ he was marrying her, just that he was.
The thing with the robot speech... TFS has done it 2 times now, they introduce a new Character with a fake voice to shock people, and than do something to get to the normal voice. The first Time we heard Freeza was during a Movie, so he pseaks really fake high, than coughs and has his real voice.
If that counts I count Kami changing from having a raspy wheezy voice in the first season to just being kinda old and gruff sounding from then on. Or hell, the Raditz VA gag in episode 1
To think all this time I believed that the reason why Dr. Gero didn't want to activate No.16 was because his programming wasn't fully complete or is a potential threat worse than 17 and 18. But the truth behind why is because 16 has the face of Dr. Gero's son and couldn't go along with the risk of seeing him destroyed by the Z Fighters and changed his programming to be less of a killer.
Nice outfits! The butterfly effect is interesting. It was also in until dawn. I love the interaction they’re showing so far when they first encountered the Androids. Happy new year!
you saw coolers revenge but you missed return of cooler movie, and you will need it for running gag jokes that happen in super android 13 movie which takes place after this or next episode.
Some info about the androids 17 and 18. They are actually Cyborgs instead of Androids like the others before them. They are biological twins, and were just regular human children until they were kidnapped by Dr Gero. Dr Gero preformed countless experiments on them, which is why they hate him so much. They traumatic childhood is the reason for their twisted personalities and their hatred for the world they live in. That's also why they went on killing sprees in the future timeline, they just have alot of resentment. The biggest thing about them though that you need to know is that they are Dr Gero's "next gen" androids. Their modifications are almost completely bio based. Think modified cells and organs grown artificially in a lab rather than just circuits and metal like the other androids. This is a big deal, because previous androids were only as strong as they were made, and could only improve by getting upgrades or absorbing other people's energy. 17 an 18 can do Ki training just like a human, and when they train, their bio machines can actually grow stronger with them, making their potential unlimited. They can repair themselves naturally and need no maintenance They have absoblutly no "flaws" and no barriers from growing and evolving themselves. They are "almost" perfect beings, a true combination of natural evolution and science.
Forgot that they become absolutely bullshit in Super. Considering who Goku is trained by and the powerlevel Goku reached, what 18 was able to do was absolute and Complete Bullshit.
@@jonlange6682 in what regard? 17 did train up until Super with the Cell Jrs and was at a ssj3 level. In the Anime they explain that Goku was holding back in his blue form (which I might add is a complete ki control form)
Goku gets taken out of commission for the same reason that in Justice league stories they usually will backhand superman through a building in the start. The character is just too strong to not take them down immediately, otherwise the concept of stakes is basically nonexistent. Hence why there's so many things that can kick supermans ass despite him being superman.
Wow. I didn’t realize Bayonetta drinking from a wine glass while reacting to DBZ Abridged would amuse me that much. Also every episode is a set up for the next episode. That’s just how Dragonball works.
It's kinda profound, but Vegeta is the one to usually clap himself in every fight in DB. Overestimating himself before every single battle he gets into until the end of the Buu arc lol
@@MrMeddyman yeah which fits tfs view, from the commentaries on him. He says all the "awful" or mean jokes because he will get his comupance, getting clapped or goku becoming super sayin before him, soon. Thus his behavior is not rewarded.
Intresting fact for this episode, Vegeta's line about Marriage being a food is a refrence to a direct quote from Goku in the Original. In the Original Chi Chi had a very aggressive crush on Goku, and she basically hounded him to marry her. When they married at the end of DB, Goku was not even really interested in her romantically. He only married her because she wanted it and he enjoyed her company. He wasnt in love with her though This is the reason for their strained relationship throughout the series, as the relationship is vastly one sided. Goku was married to her for several years before finding out what marriage meant. That's the reason he calls her the beautiful woman who loves in his house. Goku is also inherently a very selfish person, while he is very worried about his family's saftey, that's about it. His path to power trumps all else. This is why Goku can seem so callous to Gohan and why he is fine leaving his family for years without feeling any guilt. Its also why Vegeta dosent care much for Bulma and Trunk as of now in the series. Don't worry, they slowly become humanized and Chi Chi eventually gets through to Goku's battle loving heart and in Super they seem like an actual loving couple.
He found out was marriage was when ChiChi confronted him about it. He promised to marry her but never went to ask for her hand, he explained he thought marriage was food, but did end up keeping his promise
Ironically, Vegeta becomes a MUCH better father and husband then Goku ever was. I remember his daughter Bra having him wrapped around her little finger.
Vegeta being a better father than Goku is a sentiment I disagreed with heavily as a kid just because I liked Goku more, but now that I'm an adult...I know disagree with it off actual reasoning and analysis. Dude was more a concrete deadbeat in this arc than Goku ever was in Z.
In this case there was a butterfly effect. In the original world of Trunks, only 17 and 18 were there thus why Trunks didn't know about it. Trunks telling them delayed Goku's illness onset for almost a year, and more androids appeared than originally. In this case, the universe runs on multiverse theory. So Trunks interfering doesn't change his timeline.
@@meciocio Butterfly effect. It's the same principle used in DC's Flashpoint. By jumping through time, Trunks significantly altered the course of events from how they play out in his own timeline: 1) Goku ended up getting to Earth hours later than he was supposed to. 2) Goku's illness didn't spring up until a couple of years later. 3) Dr. Gero spent more time experimenting (particularly making more Androids and making himself a cyborg) instead of turning #17 and #18 loose on the world right away. Those are the three major events that were affected by Trunks' time travel.
@@kenstorm707 1. Why would Trunks' presence on earth influence the moment in time Goku arrived back, there is no correlation. 2. How possibly could dr gero have more time experimenting with androids since with or without Trunks' interference there would still be 3 years apart from the time Frieza and King Cold arrived on earth until the first two androids appeared.
Okay, she pulls off that Bayonetta perfectly. All you have to do is skip shaving for maybe 2 days for the stubble to take a picture together to make that look perfect.
Happy new year. And first: You guys looking amazing. Love Ken's Jacket (want one) and the Bayonetta look and the glasses look absolutly amazing on Bethany ❤
I love that they were playing it like the story was about to repeat itself, with everyone there dying, and Gohan,Trunks and Bulma surviving cus they left early 😅 Except that in the alternate future Yajirobe also dies, which tells you exactly how desperate the situation was that even him went to fight the ciborgs 😭💔 Ps: Not giving us episode last Wednesday was just evil.
@@brandonspencer5594 Anime filler. We can see a lot of similar plot holes in DBZ anime itself when they add something Toriyama would ignore in the future. Before Dr. Gero, anime came up with Dr. Frappe as the Red Ribbon's androids creator, for example.
Fun Fact if you didn't know: Bayonetta unofficially exists in the same universe as Dante. An artifact in the game implies that Dante's mother was an Umbra Witch
17 and 18 killed Gero in F. Trunk's timeline, so this was par for the course in him dying. As Trunks said, his interference in the fight with Freeza and King Cold altered the events entirely. Trunk's power obviously dwarfed that of Freeza and therefore, the small bot collecting data took that into account so Gero's data had a massive outlier, which factored into what he would do. This is unconfirmed, but I do think he made 19 and as another comment mentioned had 19 make him into an android so he could properly defend himself if 17 and 18 turned on him as Trunks said they did in his timeline. After all he only awoke them out of desperation as he knew Vegeta and co. were dead set on killing him. No pun intended. Gero was a brilliant man, but he was also quite evil, so good on 17 for ending him.
Took me a while to realize that they're cosplaying Dante and Bayonetta lol. I just skipped the intro and went to the reaction and I heard them say who they were suppose to be when I went back to the intro lol.
In OG dragon ball Dr Frap is the scientist whom built the first series of androids and cyborgs and you guys have seen the second DBZ movie worlds strongest Dr Wilo is the giant brain my apologies if I misspelled there names
So basically the timeline split is a result of Trunks' time travel, kinda like how time travel happens in DC. Just going back can cause a shift in the timeline without you even having been there to influence the events. In the original timeline, Goku didn't train with the Yardrat as much and left Earth early, which gave him a chance to lock onto Freiza's energy signature to use his Instant Transmission. Abridged doesn't explain this, but in the actual show, Goku didn't teleport back because he couldn't sense Freiza's energy and didn't know he was flying to Earth until he was already nearby. In contrast, in the Trunks timeline, he made the trip earlier. This is the split in the timeline that causes Dr. Gero to activate Android 17 and 18 after Goku dies of a heart attack. 19 and 20's existence is unknown in the Trunks timeline, but some people think that they did exist and were defeated as shown here, but because Goku died of a heart attack and Trunks wasn't there to help, they all got wiped out by the two androids. As for Android 16, you'll see exactly why he isn't involved in the Future events in the next few episodes (he's a unique one to say the least).
You guys should react to "LEGEND - A Dragon Ball Tale" at some point its a 10 minute short film / animation fan project that reimagines the Dragon Ball Story a little it takes place during the moment Vegeta referenced of Goku mistaking Marriage for Food and its a really cool animation
"Wow you are just the Grand Central Station of disappointment" Vegeta is DBZA. Btw you 2 should consider watching Super Android 13 with the next few episodes. As always great reaction.
I just remembered, so I figured I'd come back to this video to let you know. I know that you're up to Episode 41 on Patreon. After you see 42, you guys are all set to watch the next movie, Return of Cooler (give you two guesses who the villain is in that one). Also, there's still the Episode of Bardock special you can check out.
Fun fan theory: it is theorized (as a way to explain some inconsistencies caused by retcons) that Gero didn't actually make Androids 17 and 18, or some others, based on the fact they are more biological than mechanical and much stronger than he made himself or Android 19. So the theory goes the Red Ribbon army had many scientists working on the enhanced human project, the main goal being to enhance humans not just put brains in robot bodies. Another scientist by the now revealed name of Vomi is suspected to have made 17, 18, *and some others* that are more biological in nature, while Gero was more of a robotics expert, hence his creations being more robotic. So theory is he stole the others with the intention of using his software knowledge to reprogram them to be obedient (he considered in official notes those androids to not be obedient or have some aggressive or passionate (strong emotional) personalities to be failures even if they were strong), his energy absorbing thing was supposedly a way to keep them at manageable power level, but the only reason he made this body for himself instead of a stronger was because of the aformentioned theory that he didn't know how to make a body like 17 and 18. (of course real world there was this whole producer interference issue not liking an old man and mime as the main villains so Toriyama introduced these two hip younger androids and of course had no make them even stronger to keep the story going even if all this retcon fan theory stuff, and possibly future retcons given more recent events in the franchise was the result down the line).
...Huh? This isn't a theory. At all. My guy, #17 and #18 are and always have been cyborgs. That's always been canon. They were originally normal human siblings that Dr. Gero kidnapped and experimented on, enhancing their bodies with artificial biological systems. This is outright explained in the original series. They're the only two of his experiments that he gave Eternal Energy Reactors, but because he couldn't control them since they retained their humanity, he had them put away and made himself a cyborg instead, creating fully artificial androids (#19 and #16) to serve as his aides. #17 and #18 remained in stasis until he had no choice but to reactivate them.
To be fair to Goku on initially not knowing what marriage is, he lived isolated in the mountains with no human contact cept his Grandpa until he was 12, and his Grandpa died even earlier than that when he was very young - after that he was taken care of by Roshi for a while, but I'm sure you can imagine *he* didn't really teach Goku about marriage (he taught Goku how to read with erotica, cause thats literally the only books he had!) And after that, Goku literally started living all on his own at the tender age of.... 14 He did crash at Kami's for three more years at 16ish, but that was literally just fighting training Also for the reference, Goku and Chichi got married when they were both 18/19ish, and Gohan was born literally immediately after, just 1 year (or less) later
To be honest, it barely matters if you call them robots or android because even the DBZ series doesn't call them by their right type. Lol They are actually half human-half machine cyborgs.
the idea in this series is that the 19 and 20 Androids (because they are androids...well technically only 19 is) were dealt with in a similar way in the Future timeline to how they were in the Present timeline, the only differences being that Goku and Yamcha are dead. Goku used the Instant Transmission to get to Earth and killed Freeza instead of Trunks as in that timeline Trunks didn't travel back in time to save Goku - Goku killing Freeza sped up his heart disease as the Super Saiyan form accellerates the injury as it puts the body under higher stress for higher power and speed. Vegeta gaining his Super Saiyan ability is what saves them from 19 and 20 but his arrogance allows 20 to escape, which then allows him to awaken 17 and 18. The door being destroyed didn't happen in the Future timeline as Vegeta was still too far ahead towards North City, so 17 and 18 weren't annoyed enough to spite 20/Gero to awaken 16. And with whats coming, Trunks is sort of the big hero in all this.
Happy new year to you too^^ There will be some mentioning of Goku beeing always late to the big events throughout the season one of which might suprise you^^ Also: I liked the costumes and had to smirk when I saw them great job 🙂 the only way that could have been even funnier is if you had switched the roles, allthough I dont think bayonettas hair style would suit ken xD

Because this is multiverse theory, events are unfolding differently than Trunks' timeline. Trunks' timeline never had Androids 19 and 20. Among other changes/differences I wont spoil.
Nope I beleive gero was killed he opened them earlier so they were the ones that entered the city. Plus I don't think they opened the other androids. Or maybe destroyed the entire lab themselves.

In the current story arc the events are changed due to the butterfly effect from time travel. Goku was already supposed to have died before the 18 and 17 showed due to a virus that attacked the heart (changed in the abridged version to too much bacon). Some other things have changed too that will be revealed later. However in DB Super there is a time travel story arc that is sorta cyclical in nature. Without going into too much spoilers, someone attacks Trunks' future, so Trunks calls for aid. The gang starts an investigation in the present that sets the antagonist off on his path. It should be noted though that the antagonist was already leaning towards becoming a villain, but meeting Goku was the trigger. (and they would probably never have met under other circumstances)
Not sure about the order list you were given, but regardless of it making sense or not *and there is no where to watch that it does make sense* but as soon as Goku is back on his feet would be the perfect spot to watch the next movie, or that may be later than needed due to other events..yeah the movies never fit neatly in the main series. They met a few years later at the martial tournament and she got so mad that Goku didn't recognize her and that he didn't understand what the promise meant that she fought him.
They were 12.
She actually fought him cause she thought he dumped her on purpose/knew what the promise was but still forgot (basically she thought he'd been toying with her heart)
When she realized he was legit unaware she was just sad
Hilariously killing that Dante fit 😂
😜🤗
i think part of what makes the androids so scary is their childish immaturity. everything’s a game to them, and like we saw in the history of trunks movie, they don’t even really have an ulterior motive. mass murder is just how they play. that and the dead-eyed stare. great costumes + awesome ep!
I realized something re-watching this. I knew Goku & Vegeta both worked off the _exact_ same OS, but, looking back? They're both equally dumb & straightforward. Goku hitting his head only made him _nice._
Ringing in the new year with more hilarious DBZA episodes. Love it. Great reaction ya'll
Thanks! 🥳🥳🤗🙂
Not sure if someone mentioned this or not, but we actually owe 16, 17 and 18's existence to Toriyama's editor
As he was not huge on the idea of the main villains being a "geezer and a doll" , so Toriyama did the exact opposite and created the much younger and unassuming counterparts to replace them as the *true* threat Trunks was talking about
And I won't go any further but to say that it didn't stop there.
His editor wasn't crazy about 17 and 18 being the main villians either.
Hadn’t heard that before 😯
Happy New Year, Love the Dante and Bayonetta cosplays
And yeah Vegeta just Murdered Trunks with that line "I don't listen to Bastards" you could feel the venom in his voice with that delivery, thankfully Piccolo played the good father with Gohan
Love the Piccolo and Gohan relationship ☺️
Years before the English dub, dubs from other countries already used androids.
@@Mari_Izu No less incorrect. Both by textbook definition and what we know in canon.
SPOILER ALERT:
We know that Gero is in fact a human scientist who enhanced his own abilities using his genius level intellect in the field of robotics.
@@kaioken301 What any of the things in your wall text have to do with my comment?
Freeza was a super sadistic villain, but even then you can sorta still see some humanity in him in that regard.
The Androids from trunks' timeline are depicted as extremely unpredictable embodiments of destruction - regardless, they are still hilarious.
Deadly and hilarious 😈 at least in dbza 🤗
@@798jeremy Yeah, the "Android" Saga and the following saga are a bit of a fuster cluck in that regard.
We will for sure mess this up a bunch of times 😂
16's origin will still be explained in the abridged and you'll love him lol
(And yes, 17 and 18 being androids is actually relevant for the story as it implies they're still human, both mentally and with some important organs, such as the reproductive ones)
Was looking for this comment👍🏾
Thing is, we’re not supposed to know 17 and 18 are cyborgs until later in the saga AFTER Bulma and Dr. Briefs checked their blueprints. That’s the part people tend to ignore.
@@EWOODJ Nope. We get hints about their origins all throughout the saga.
Dr. Frappe is a scientist in classic Dragonball, who is only a filler character.
He was said to be the creator of Android 8, who will never come up here.

Eighter was so cool though. I loved his story, and I like that one of the video games had Eighter and 16 meet.

Seeing Dante and Bayonetta together in any form is awesome 👍 honestly wish Fanfics made use of that pairing
Doubt the universe could contain that dynamic and flexible pairing.
...*winces* I didn't mean it like that.
Dante and Bayo finally hooked up! Its a new years miracle!
Dante is a massive Improvement to who she actually ends up with.
To be fair, when Goku thought marriage was a food, he was still a kid. That's how bad Chi-Chi had it for him: she was talking about marriage when they were both still kids. By the time they actually married (I think around the time Goku was 17), Goku knew what it was.
Did he? He agreed to it but didn't he just find out what it was shortly before then, like earlier that same scene?
That was switching two dub voices I believe, according to their rewatches. Ocean dub frieza to kai frieza? Someone else can clarify it.
@@gregcourtney751 it was Linda Young(Funimation dub, Ocean dub also sounded the same) to Chris Ayres(DBZ Kai dub).
If that counts I count Kami changing from having a raspy wheezy voice in the first season to just being kinda old and gruff sounding from then on. Or hell, the Raditz VA gag in episode 1
@@Xanderj89 those don't count. No one had any expectations of Raditz and if we count changing VA we have to list most support characters ^^*
In some of the shots of Gero talking to 17 and 18, Gero has his hand again
Nice outfits! The butterfly effect is interesting. It was also in until dawn. I love the interaction they’re showing so far when they first encountered the Androids. Happy new year!
Now that he's been mentioned, I recommend watching the Super Android 13 movie around Episode 55.
😎👍🙂
Nah, episode 55 is way too far out

They can repair themselves naturally and need no maintenance
They have absoblutly no "flaws" and no barriers from growing and evolving themselves. They are "almost" perfect beings, a true combination of natural evolution and science.
You forgot to mention that they were orphan delinquents before Gero kidnapped them and that's why they act that way
@@sabribrus I mean that and the fact they were human test subjects that were turned into killing machines.
@@sabribrus Could I get some sauce on that Cell Jrs part?
Goku gets taken out of commission for the same reason that in Justice league stories they usually will backhand superman through a building in the start. The character is just too strong to not take them down immediately, otherwise the concept of stakes is basically nonexistent. Hence why there's so many things that can kick supermans ass despite him being superman.
Did you know the Voice Actor for Dr. Gero here is also the Official voice for Ainz Ol Gown in the English dub of Overlord
Wow. I didn’t realize Bayonetta drinking from a wine glass while reacting to DBZ Abridged would amuse me that much.
Also every episode is a set up for the next episode. That’s just how Dragonball works.
Vegeta can point his finger at Trunks all he wants but he the one that himself defeated in Trunks timeline
Had a stroke reading this
What 💀
... da faq? Lol
"Howdy folks, I'm Android 13. Look at mah trucker hat."
@@jonlange6682 GT is non canon. And Goku goofs around a lot with Goten and loves Pan very much. Heck he spent 5 years raising Gohan.
@@Agent-57 still, I go by my opinion that GT is far better then Super.
And Goku was a bigger asshole in Super.
Remember the bird Goku saved in Cooler movie
7:08 that was the Windows Boot up sequence XD LOL
In this case there was a butterfly effect. In the original world of Trunks, only 17 and 18 were there thus why Trunks didn't know about it. Trunks telling them delayed Goku's illness onset for almost a year, and more androids appeared than originally. In this case, the universe runs on multiverse theory. So Trunks interfering doesn't change his timeline.
Why would more androids appear just because his illness onset was delayed?
@@meciocio No, no, Goku's illness didn't cause more Androids to be made, Trunks' time travel caused more Androids to be made. That was the trigger.
@@kenstorm707 But how?
@@meciocio Butterfly effect. It's the same principle used in DC's Flashpoint.
By jumping through time, Trunks significantly altered the course of events from how they play out in his own timeline:
1) Goku ended up getting to Earth hours later than he was supposed to.

11:30 That was Red Head Joke there and even 18 said that was beneath her.
3:14 Look at baby Trunks! Adorable and cool! 🙏🏽💪
😎👍🙂
Little joke they put in there that people always miss: Android 19 couldn't boot up until Gero threatened to shove his "boot up" Android 19's ass.

You guys should react to "LEGEND - A Dragon Ball Tale" at some point

To be fair to Goku on initially not knowing what marriage is, he lived isolated in the mountains with no human contact cept his Grandpa until he was 12, and his Grandpa died even earlier than that when he was very young - after that he was taken care of by Roshi for a while, but I'm sure you can imagine *he* didn't really teach Goku about marriage (he taught Goku how to read with erotica, cause thats literally the only books he had!)
And after that, Goku literally started living all on his own at the tender age of.... 14
He did crash at Kami's for three more years at 16ish, but that was literally just fighting training
Also for the reference, Goku and Chichi got married when they were both 18/19ish, and Gohan was born literally immediately after, just 1 year (or less) later
Really sad. This seems to be the second Wednesday in a row with no DBZ Abridged episode.

Happy New Year Ken and Bethany
Hope all your wishes and resolutions come true!
Pretty sure in original series, Trunks knew Dr. Gero created the androids.

I don't give S*** about butterflies! HAHAHA
But yeah Android 13 movie fits somewhere around this point or so.
Does anyone else think the Dante and Bayonetta could ACTUALLY be together. Two strong Protagonists. I feel like besides Vergil, Bayonetta could give Dante a challenge.
Chi-Chi and Goku met as kids in the first few episodes of DragonBall before splitting until the very end. Chi-Chi fell in love at first sight and made Goku promise to marry her one day after they were grown up. Goku agreed under the pretense that marriage was some kind of food.
Chi-Chi fell in love after Goku touched her crotch, thinking it was a sign of love thanks to the magazines she reads.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Where's 39????
Happy New Years! Also i'm a bit out of the loop , why am I seeing Dante and Bayonetta on my screen?
