The god and hype lines along with this one really reflects Vegeta's personality in this series it's hilarious how much he believes in himself but constantly gets beaten 😂😂
Fun Fact. 18 dislocated Vegeta's arm here. Even to this day in Dragonball Super, whenever Vegeta gets seriously hurt you can see him babying that same arm. No matter the healing, revivals, or magical restoration, 18 left with a permanent reminder that he should stay down
It's one of those things that comes off as coincidence at first, but then it keeps happening and then you remember that even with senzu beans, Vegeta still has scars on his torso from older injuries, whether onscreen or off. Meanwhile Goku appears pretty much spotless. It is such an interesting dynamic that shows Goku as this gold standard of fighting that Vegeta keeps clawing his way up to, never daunted no matter how far the goalpost keeps getting pushed away.
Fun fact, that's actually false. Vegeta has already done that pose before vs Racoome, the Android 18 theory is just coincidence. In fact if you look at a lot of injuries in Dragonball, they tend to happen to the left arm. It's more likely just that Toriyama likes depicting injuries from the left and doing that arm pose, he's done it so much that he probably kept with it at some point intentionally.
@@XC11301991 that makes more sense. I never really thought of it as a broken bone call back. Saiyans usually eat beans and that should restore most things. Plus Saiyans are built to fight so their bones are probably better at healing.
Something to note is that 18 and 17 were content to leave Vegeta and co. alone; they're only hunting for Goku because 16 was designed to kill him. They didn't even seem malicious in their desire to go after him, rather its just a thing for fun as they "have nothing better to do". Compare that to how they were in the timeline F. the way android 18 absolutely DECIMATES vegeta in this scene is so oddly satisfying. like, it’s a very bad sign for us that she has no problem handling one of the strongest fighters, but he’s been in DIRE need of some humbling since he achieved super saiyan.
To be fair, I am not convinced Goku could've defeated 18 here even if he wasn't dying. Vegeta getting absolutely demolished by 18 pretty much sets the tone for just how absolutely domineering and nigh invincible she is. And unlike our organic fighters, the androids do not tire, or fatigue.

This one might honestly be one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. The sheer volume of great lines and sass is SO satisfying. 3:22 To be fair, it’s a REALLY big button, practically BEGGING to be pushed. 5:05 Case in point about the sass. 8:30 Ooh, Veggie-boy just made the Unforgivable Insult, and everyone knows it. This is why I actually root for 18 here. 9:31 Yeah, that sound is seriously nauseating.
Love the videos! Watched the abridged series when it originally came out/finished. Season 3 is by far the best season they did. I’m sure you have lots of other series that is on your watch list but I highly recommend watching the creators of abridged go through their “anniversary” of abridged. Granted they just finished I believe season 2 and did a couple movies but it’s very entertaining and also fascinating on their take and just how much work each episode and thought was put into the series.
I like Android 16 I know eventually he’s gonna wanna kill Goku but he’s pretty chill now. I’m both glad & kinda upset that 18 knocked Vegeta down a peg I saw that arm break seen coming from a mile away but I still flinched when it happened the sound effects were amazing. Goku just screaming the whole episode & Chi being so calm cracked me up but it makes sense Goku & gohan are barely around so she’s gotta take her chance when it comes up
I'm curious if they'll watch Team Four Star's other dbz abridged episodes like HIFL or the shorts they made. Not really important to understand Dragon Ball but they have the Team Four Star humor.
I don't ever want to experience the pain of having any joint or bone in my body dislocated. I'm sure it hurts like stepping in a room full of legos... times 10000.
Here's an interesting tidbit I read on Reddit a few years ago: Vegeta has had a LONG history of clutching at that left arm during combat from this point onward, going all the way up to the Tournament of Power arc, if not further in the manga. It could just be a default thing the artists do when Vegeta's on the backfoot because the Dragonball workload is well known to be ENORMOUS, but the theory I've seen passed around goes that the bone from elbow to shoulder was actually obliterated during this fight with 18, and due to that was that it was in literal shards & splinters when he inevitably got a Senzu Bean, the arm suffered permanent damage as a result. Had Vegeta been seen by a doctor who could reassemble the bone from the bits and pieces it would have been in and THEN eaten a Bean, or perhaps if he'd somehow persuaded Dende to heal him again (not likely, given that over a dozen Namekians are STILL DEAD because of Vegeta), he might've been fine, but should this be true, he's now lived in constant pain for around a decade & a half as of the current timeline *without telling anybody*.
his baby mama and her father are scientists Vegeta would have gotten it fixed .. if nothing more than for fighting pride to be the best he could. Saiyan have 0 problems getting wound fixed.. healing pods + doctors etc a more likely explanation actually would be some kind of mental scar, a tic or reaction to when being on the back foot, a muscle memory instinctive reaction to grab that arm from it was so brutally broken
You see the problem with that is that he already suffered this arm injury and doing that pose back when when he fought Racoome. More likely it's just Toriyama just likes that injury as you notice he does left arm injuries for a lot of characters.
@GSDA you're right having checked back he's always doing that pose so it's most likely just sn artist habit thing and not a choice with a particular meaning
Abridged reveals that later on. And also the info on Android 16. Best not to reveal stuff because TFS added stuff to their version that wasn't revealed until later on after the show.
This battle was the first episode of DBZ I ever saw years ago. I hated it at the time as I assumed Vegeta was the main character, and here he was killing civilians without care. As it was Toonami had shifted their schedule to put DBZ between the two shows I usually watched, so I ended up having to wait out this apparent dark and edgy show every day thereafter. Little did I know it ended up being my favourite show of the three as the weeks rolled by - and the bigger joke, after the Android Saga finished, instead of going onto the next saga it went back to episode 1, and I saw Vegeta grow as a character over the course of the series, and by the time that original episode rolled back around for him to fight 18 again he was my favourite character.
Hey, I had a thought. Would you consider watching a series by Super Butter Buns called For Beginners? Her videos are hilarious and very informative, I think you'd have a genuine blast with them. She's done them on a wide variety of games, including Legend of Zelda and Kingdom Hearts.
Friggin 16 was one of my favorite characters. Also, minus the fact she might have to cut her hair, does anyone else think Bethany would make a decent 18 on sass factor alone? Wonder if that’d make Ken 17…
I was waiting for the new episode all day on Wednesday just to be disappointed that they didn't upload it. I was refreshing the channel and looking at the community tab every 15 minutes hoping they either posted the next episode or notified us that it's delayed or the schedule changed.
We should’ve posted something about it. We just took a break last week. We will be back at it with DBZA on Wednesday. The week prior there was no Wednesday because it was a double Sunday due to a mistake of 37 posting before 36 🤗
Haha, never have I wanted a MC to lose a fight as much as this one. Vegeta deserved every second of that beat down. He was on a Super Saiyan high, and 18 brought him right back down to earth. You got to feel bad for the androids. Not even 5 minutes after they re gained their freedom from Dr Gero, a group of randoms just started insulting them and tried to kill them. They haven't even done anything bad yet, this was all self defence.

9:31 Yeah, that sound is seriously nauseating.
tbf she was smug
The volume of sass is indeed great 😁
Love the videos!
We’ve been told their commentary on the series is very interesting 😀
Even though I don't like seeing Vegeta getting his ass kicked, I didn't mind seeing it this time because he kind of deserved it.
Goku just screaming the whole episode & Chi being so calm cracked me up but it makes sense Goku & gohan are barely around so she’s gotta take her chance when it comes up
Android 16’s thing is that he loves animals
We love that about him 🥰
Another wonderful video. The writing is so good in this season
5:02 Sorry Vegeta, but Android 18 shouldn't be taken lightly 🙏🏽💪
Facts 😁
I'm curious if they'll watch Team Four Star's other dbz abridged episodes like HIFL or the shorts they made. Not really important to understand Dragon Ball but they have the Team Four Star humor.
they are okay but it's still no dragon ball z abridged level.
We are for sure gonna check out Hellsing abridged and then open to other series as well 🙂
Birds will return™.
Yes! 🐦 😊
Saiyan have 0 problems getting wound fixed.. healing pods + doctors etc
a more likely explanation actually would be some kind of mental scar, a tic or reaction to when being on the back foot, a muscle memory instinctive reaction to grab that arm from it was so brutally broken
You see the problem with that is that he already suffered this arm injury and doing that pose back when when he fought Racoome. More likely it's just Toriyama just likes that injury as you notice he does left arm injuries for a lot of characters.
its an easy draw for the artists
@GSDA you're right having checked back he's always doing that pose so it's most likely just sn artist habit thing and not a choice with a particular meaning
I think the opening was Chichi speaking.
Edit: OK you guys caught it.
🤗
Goku is a real screamer!!
Idk if anyone has said already but it was revealed in an interview I think that android 17 and 18s real names are lapis and lazuli
Abridged reveals that later on. And also the info on Android 16. Best not to reveal stuff because TFS added stuff to their version that wasn't revealed until later on after the show.
@@demonsorrows I was wondering about that it's been forever since I've seen it my bad
So we had John Connor with Trunks. I wonder who Android 16 resembles?
Not sure, but I get the feeling he's going to ask someone to come with him if they want to live.
You'd think he'd learn by now...
You guys should watch Attack On Titan, its imo the best anime ever made
Well to be fair, she did say she'd break his arm 🤷🏿
Trunks remains Mr. Get it Done.
even though he fucks up ALOT later on
@@hustler666100 Agreed. But, he also lived mostly alone.
😏
16 is the man, you'll see ;)
16 loves birds
I just noticed this: RUclips unsubscribed me. Because I KNOW I was subbed to your channel before this.
Hey, I had a thought. Would you consider watching a series by Super Butter Buns called For Beginners? Her videos are hilarious and very informative, I think you'd have a genuine blast with them. She's done them on a wide variety of games, including Legend of Zelda and Kingdom Hearts.
Buns is fantastic!
New channel for us to check out. Thanks for the recommendation 😀
Friggin 16 was one of my favorite characters.
Also, minus the fact she might have to cut her hair, does anyone else think Bethany would make a decent 18 on sass factor alone? Wonder if that’d make Ken 17…
so theyd be brother and sister. hmmm
Is there a new upload schedule for DBZA? If so a heads up would be nice! 🌚🌝
I was waiting for the new episode all day on Wednesday just to be disappointed that they didn't upload it. I was refreshing the channel and looking at the community tab every 15 minutes hoping they either posted the next episode or notified us that it's delayed or the schedule changed.
@@az639 same was hoping for a double ep sunday and a oops we missed it
We should’ve posted something about it. We just took a break last week. We will be back at it with DBZA on Wednesday. The week prior there was no Wednesday because it was a double Sunday due to a mistake of 37 posting before 36 🤗

Man I can't wait for you guys to meet cell it's gonna be great.
The android 13 movie should also be at this point right?
no not until krillin and trunks blow up the lab basement. theres a crossover scene
This is going to be great! 🙏🏽💪👏
Can you guys please watch Life Beyond: Chapter 2 from melodysheep? Can't wait to see you guys' reaction to all the crazy ways life can be possible!
2:51
2:53 😂
I like the reactions☺️❤️
And once again the bones cracks freaks the reactor Bethany
Haha, never have I wanted a MC to lose a fight as much as this one.
Vegeta deserved every second of that beat down. He was on a Super Saiyan high, and 18 brought him right back down to earth.
You got to feel bad for the androids. Not even 5 minutes after they re gained their freedom from Dr Gero, a group of randoms just started insulting them and tried to kill them.
They haven't even done anything bad yet, this was all self defence.
Kinda feel bad for Vegeta though. As soon as he gets his Super Saiyan he meets a foe that is still stronger than him 🤭
