Imagine being a german soldier storming a trench only to see like 10 of your dudes get gunned down by 1 dude with deadeye
Now imagine hitting that same guy with artillery and chemical weapons only to see him shrug it off by drinking boos and eating random food pulled from his pocket.
US troops in WW1 impressed the Germans with how well they could shoot, to balance their poor tactics (they didn't have years of experience in the trenches). Almost like if they had constitutionally-protected training.
Now imagine if john had the evans repeater
That actually happened, look up Sergeant Alvin York, guy took 132 German soldiers prisoner after getting headshots on at least 30 that attacked him and his squad, including 3 machine gun crews and at least 1 officer
The Winchester trench boom was such a magnificent display of American engineering the Germans wanted it canceled
The tanks wobbling their way is just hilarious.

They looked hyped for war

Yes, just call it a decoy

Obviously this is not canon and probably something we will never see, but I could definitely see Jack going to fight in Europe as part of his story arc. Perhaps in an effort to put an ocean between him and the trouble he caused by killing Ross.
It is pretty intriguing however, that considering if Jack lived an average lifespan, he saw so many different changes in the technology, landscape, development, and politics of the United States. He probably died in an air-conditioned home with running water, electricity, and an automobile parked outside. And incredibly far cry from his earliest days spent on the lam, living with nothing separating him from the elements but a few folds of canvas.
Holy balls you are right
Given the first game takes place in 1911 he likely lived to the late 80’s maybe even mid 90’s at his healthiest. Like imagine being born in the final years of the American Wild West and seeing people playing video games and eating fast food and stuff as an old man.
@@steakinbacon8593Jesus no wonder people think the new generation our worthless and lazy
@@steakinbacon8593 If Jack lived to be 100 years old (very possible), he'd have died in 1995. He would have died just at the dawn of the Information Age, and likely would have been remembered as the Last Gunslinger of the Old West, as well as the last living member of the Van Der Linde gang.
I can see Jack coming home from WW1 and writing about his childhood growing up in the gang, becoming a bestselling author of Old West novels centered around the exploits of the gang. I don't see Jack truly fading into obscurity, not when Western movies really became popular in the 1950s and 1960s.
I want to say that some GTA easter egg had Jack Marston living all the way into the 1970s so yeah, he saw ALOT of change
Corporal Jack Marston of West Elizabeth, served with honor along side the US Army's 1st Division.
He fought at the Battles of St. Mihiel and Aisne-Marne.
His Valor include the Purple Heart, and a Silver Star
I think Jack would if it meant he could learn how to fly a plane. In the end of RDR1 Jack said: “One of them machines could turn men into Angels” and it they are bringing a plane for demonstration a year after Johns death. So who knows maybe our Jack would become an Ace
@@KumarAnshs would be cool if he managed to survive WW1 and became an F4U pilot
Marne is French VS German, and Americans joined during 1917.
@@cheeziestpotato Well canonically he did live until 1992-1996, so drafted or not, he DID survive both WW1 and WW2. It's assumed in that time frame between 1914-1996, he becomes a famous writer/author, though he could also have gotten into piloting and aeronautics. We don't really know unfortunately.

Nah rdr is about the Wild West and it coming to its end I doubt it would be good
@@saulgoodmangaming1 I know that. But I never said that they should make this a sequel since by the time of 1914 the wild west is dead. But it could be a spin-off game. After RDR1 with Jack in WW1 or how he turned into gunslinger after his parents death and life into crime. In my opinion if they where to make a RDR3 I would like a prequel to RDR2 and play as a young Dutch and see how the gang was formed and being the leader and see more of the story and if not Dutch a younger Arthur or a very young John before he got his scars and show how the Blackwater heist went.
@@LoneWolf84694I think there was a theory or something that rdr3 could be about young Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur when the gang was made and you could switch between them

crazy to think that some don't. respect to all sides on WW1 as it was a wasteful war fought by empires for land and power, and respect to the heros who kept the world free in WW2.
This would be a fantastic opening to RDR3. Jack gets drafted, the combat tutorial is him fighting in Europe, and then he returns to become a gun-for-hire or vigilante in a 1920s Mafia/bootlegging storyline.
Bro, why would you join a mafia if Jack doesn't like killing? At most he could become a bounty hunter
@@starlord131 he is a bounty hunter and a gunslinger i mean even if you dont buy the bandolier Jack will have it in the epilogue

At that point it’s out of the western era tho
@@kimlsnyder And what does that have to do? The game does not have to be yes or yes in the West, apart from that the game does not have to be yes or yes of cowboys, since the title does not say that red dead cowboys of the west, does it?
At that year, Jack had 21, a young adult. I think in those three years he would have a lot of things to do or to think. And that is what those three have the Jack's development character potential.

People don’t know this, but Jack Marston with deadeye single-handedly won the Argonne offensive
I had an scene where the enemy artillery destroys Jack's position and some of his mates ends dead, but Jack survives while a lot of his allies starts to retreat without him. Jack rises and sees through the smoke some germans coming in. He waits for them and the german tells him to surrender, but suddenly Jack uses his revolver with the dead eye and kills the german unit

Amazingly at the end of Red Dead Redemption, you can see some of the paths Jack could take, through the different unlockable outfits with one being the route of a soldier.
I doubt Jack would go willingly to fight for a war for a country he has no attachement to
Even if he did go, there will be no one waiting for him at home. However, it would be nice for Jack to meet other young men and help gain a new found family among other brothers in arms but who knows the direction this story will take place?
Either a sequel to RDR1 or another prequel to RDR2
Once GTA 6 is completed and sells well, only then maybe we see another game for red dead
Nice video by the way, probably took some time
it doesnt have to be willing, he would most likely be drafted. OR he could have been forced into it like john, and is offered to get away from his murder of edgar and the fact his father was a criminal by joining the war
Nah I think Rockstar started development on RDR3 straight after RDR2s launch like they did with RDR1
Oh God You just reminded Me on how much click bait is going to be made on RDR3 when GTA6 gets released...
i think he may just go and fight, because fighting is all he knows.
Could end up being very loosely based off Alvin York
Gets forced into a war he doesn't believe in and becomes one of the most Decorated soldiers in it
This could be a great story for a dlc or rdr3 after the ending of red dead 1. You killed it man ❤
but if a jack in war game comes out it can't be called red dead redemption, it would have to be called red dead first world war
Personally I want rdr3 “Red dead revelations” to explore Jack going on the run for killing edger. We pick up a few weeks after he killed him and we tell that story.
The game world of 1911 and 1914 in rdr1 looks and behaves mostly the exactly same way. So even by rockstars own timeline it seems the old West is still not dead yet. So we got some story room for Jack in an old west environment and we could also use Mexico as well.
Ww1 is an event that could easily be mentioned only by newspapers and Npc’s at most. WW1 started in July 1914 and ended in November 1918. America itself didn’t join the war until April 1917 but regardless ww1 was never at any point fought on American soil. So the entire war is really a non-issue if we want to keep the entire game strictly western based. Or you could find a way to put jack in the war as part of his story like during the epilogue section or as DLC.
As for the Mafia angle nothing demands Jack’s story needs to told from that angle either. As far as the rdr franchise is concerned, the mafia has existed at least since 1899. So you could argue the setting years in rdr2 and rdr1 could just as easily have been used to tell a purely mafia story. Mafia with horses in 1899, mafia with cars in 1907/1911. So unless you choose to set a Jack story in a big city somewhere there’s no reason why the game needs to be mafia styled. Especially considering westerns primarily take place in the rural west, rural Mexico and the actual wilderness.
But regardless, Nothing about Jack post rdr1 is actually confirmed Canon. Rockstar has never once confirmed anything about him after rdr1. That one book that you find in GTA 5 that has Jack’s name on it. It’s just an Easter egg, but for argument sake let’s just say it is canon. There was no publishing date on that book anywhere so that book could just as easily have been written in 1915 or 1950 for all we know. So that does not prove that Jack lived a long and peaceful life. and even if what some sources claim is actually true and Jack did live to be an old man, I’m very interested to see how he managed to secure that future. Especially after doing what he did to highly ranked, respected, and well known retired fed back in 1914. Considering in this franchise actions have consequences and revenge is a fools game.
american troops landed in Europe in the June of 1917
@@WorshipHunglabungla55 True, but I was speaking in general about when the United States officially Joined ww1.
i think more settings could be interesting, since RDR 1 had Mexico and RDR 2 has Guarma
we could see Jack fighting in the Russian Civil War and Warlord Era China. two places where it feels like the wild west didn't truly end

1:22 the soldiers shooting to the sky
Fantastic job, honestly, this is exactly what I wrote when I wrote an epilogue for Jack three years ago.
In mine, after he came home, Jack married a woman he met in France and had a family, working as a professional hunter, trapper, and guide. Dying at the age of 90 of a heart attack out on the trail. He was buried at Beacher's Hope beside his parents.
This was a great tribute, I hope you got the chance to do something for Rememberance/Veteran's day. I took in a great local ceremony with my mum and veteran grandad.❤🇨🇦
Thank you for posting this, my great grand uncle fought in the korean war.
I thank him for his service to the Korean people ❤️🇰🇷
@@rdr.outlaw He will be glad for your respect
my great uncle was a radioman in the marines during the Korean War, I have a picture of him
With deadeye, i wouldnt be too worried in WW1. Also a full movie or game about Jack would be sick tbh. I read somewhere that the lite is he died close to the year 2000, having experienced the dying west, ww1 + 2, cold war Vietnam and mobile phones.
In some battles like Verdun, 80% of combat casualties were caused by artillery. Not by a rilfeman of MG crew shooting at you.
Plus non-combat causes like diseases and whatnot.
Love your videos and edits they are always so good and are the highlight of red dead 2 stuff i see!
Just a fan continuation story; After Jack served the US army during the First World War, he went back to farming at his ranch. Maybe have a wife and kid in mid 1920s or stick to being a underdog virgin. Then decided to move to a big city like New York or Chicago to find better work after selling his ranch. His new city life was going well until the Great Depression hits forcing him to be a smuggler or criminal to make ends meet. Meanwhile, “bam” the Mafia game’s storyline unfolds in the background.
John Marston: that’s my boy
Dude, this is amazing the amount of black magic you had to do to create this.
Using pith helmets as World War 1 doughboy helmets: NOICE! 👍
Tanks made me laugh, kind of want one now! Very well done video, especially enjoyed attention to detail with (predominantly) the use of the 1911 pattern pistol. I'm not much aware of repeaters being used in large amounts during America's entry into the Great War, but the bolt action rifle from RDR2 is (essentially) the rifle Americans were issued during WW1 - except different caliber/internals/and a capacity of 10 rounds. Loved seeing that in action! Thank you for the short film, enjoyed!
The Winchester 1895 saw service in WWI, mostly used by the Russians.
The rifle used is a Krag-Jorgensen, replaced by the 1903 Springfield and the AEF's main rifle was the 1917 Einfield
This is a masterpiece artwork Outlaw!!!
I was told a while ago that my great grandfather served in Vietnam and worked with a antifoliage chemical called Agent Orange. The U.S. was unaware of the long term effects of the chemical and my great grandpa died a heroic death in 1970. He did get to see my grandmother again, but not for long. Mad respect to **all** veterans of any war.
If John, Jack, or Arthur go into the army they would BE the army 😂
This is what i always thought rdr3 should be like. Jack somehow gets caught up in world war 1 and learns skills from that.
Imagine he sees someone like Arthur and asks “are you gonna take me fishing, uncle Arthur?”
Jack just laying waste to the enemy, quick drawing and destroying them as his fellow soldiers watch from the trench behind him, amazing at the sight of someone who is seemingly an old west gunslinger, something they would never think to ever see.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!!
Fighting in ww1 would complete jack marston's entire character arc
Arthur just one more war
late to the party but the last ww1 us vet was Frank Buckles (1901-2011) god bless you sir
As he returned to the grave yard, he not only thought of his old friends in the Van-Derlinde gang, but of his comrades who he fought besides in WW1
As someone who has played Battlefield 1 (which is about WW1) i can confirm this is literally how it happened.
00:17 I thought Jack was pissing like a truck 😂
This could be a neat dlc for rdr3. Just to see what happens to jack
Rdr3 must be a prequel
I disagree.
You can’t have a western past 1914
@@kiwi.bird2 It doesn't have to be a western. That's why I said dlc.
Besides, an RDR3 could be a neo-western, kinda like Hell or High Water.
Lmao, that Renault FT is amazing. 😂
The fact there's a movie based on ww1 that roger clark(Arthur Morgan) appears in
I always thought this would be an epic idea. Jack flees to Canada after killing Ross. Enlists with the Canadians and fights. Comes back and the game takes place in the Canadian wilderness.
yes, and perhaps the intro cutscene could explain why he was there, and there could be WWI flashback segments once or twice throughout the game
Look at our brave boys go!! 💪

1969: Jack is selected as an astronaut as an old man due to the magical effects of his genes as well as his unique food, swill and tobacco. There is a landing on the moon. Jack gets out of the spaceship, puts a flag on the moon. Then he remembers Dutch's fiery speeches, turns his side to planet Earth and says: Dutch! Well, what the hell is Tahiti when I'm on the fucking moon!
Probably most of the soldiers used bolt action rifles, but I can’t complain, this too good
This gotta be the next red dead game WW1 baby 🎉
Battlefield 1 was always the secret sequel of Red Dead Redemption 1. Someone should mod the voice lines of the american soldiers and replace them with the ones of Jack Marston, so it gives the ilussion that we are playing as Jack-boy right there in WW1. They could also modify the model of the american assault class to make it look like Jack.
I like how later on jack gets a 1000 yard stare
right after RDR3 they will be a Red Dead Conception of Chaos of Jacks life
Nice
This would actually be a turning point for Rockstar and would be a great new direction for them. Instead of making your usual Outlaw/Criminal game like GTA & Red Dead, you would be playing a game with a war setting, from mission to mission, in the end Jack gets to go home and live in Beacher’s Hope with his family as Arthur & John would’ve wanted
Imagine your a German soldier in the trenches missing your family and friends and all of a sudden some 22 year old man comes down and dead eyes you and your whole battle buddies
In RDR3 jack returns from the war a broken traumatized man and now sees that his home is long gone and now must survive in a new age if crime. This game takes place from 1917 to 1922.
And, once Jack returns, he finds out America had become authoritarian thanks to Sedition Act of 1918...
WILSOOOOON!!
@TheStarcoMarco farmers getting driven off their land homesteads being destroyed and government thugs dragging people outta their homes in the middle of the night. This would make for an interesting plot in RDR3. We went from the old west, the dying west, and now the dead west.
The tank animation is hilarious. It’s like the way you had to advance the plastic tank for an Army men set lol, wobble and walk it forward lol 😂 I know it was created by you lol but some things to note the hand crank Gatling gun was never used in WWI. By then it was obsolete. You had the Vickers and the Maxim. Both belt fed. And operated with a trigger mechanism. The only lever action gun that I know of in WWI was the Martini Henry, and it wasn’t that widely used. The Germans used the Gewehr 98 and the British used the Lee Enfield Mark 4 No. 1 and the Americans used the Springfield 1908. All were bolt action rifles. Side arms were the P08 Luger, and a Luger made revolver. For the Germans. The British used the Webly revolver made by Lee Enfield, and the Americans had the only semi automatic pistol the 1911 made by Colt. Tanks were the German No. 1 which looked like a big box on caterpillar tractor tracks, with 4 10 pound guns form a naval vessel. The British used the Mark 1 that looked like a trapezoid on caterpillar tractor tracks. The British design was actually superior for the type of fighting. Cause the trapezoid design allowed the tank to cross over trenches without falling in them or getting stuck. It was armed with 10 pound naval gun on one side and a machine gun on the other side. Being the first tank ever designed, it also gave birth to the idea of a tank being equipped to defend against both armor and infantry. The German tank was strictly anti armor, and if it tried to cross a trench it would fall in and be stuck in it. Forcing the crew to abandon it. Kinda of a wasteful design. German tank crews had to learn to keep it away from the trenches, massively reducing its mobility stats, compared to the British Mk. 1. But WWI, was the first war ever with tank warfare, so designing tanks was a massive learning curve for every country involved. In 1918 the Germans developed an antitank rifle that basically looked like an upscaled Gewehr 98 with a pistol grip and tripod. It fired a 13x99mm cartridge with an armor piercing steel cored bullet, that proved to be effective against the British Mk. 1 tank. From about 200 yards it could penetrate into a British Mk. 1 tank, and once inside it bounced around inside killing the crew inside pretty nasty results.
Rdr3 they should make a story line with Jack where he gets drafted and sees through WW1
When you see the tanks walking up onto the battlefield you best get to running lmao. 😂
By the way solid video!
This is great! Thanks for making this!!!
Я только недавно задумывался, каким мог бы быть сиквел про Джека, участвующего в Первой мировой, здорово, что мне это попалось
If any person in these video games deserves to live in peace is Jack Marston.
This would be such a amazing dlc! Keep up the great work!
Long have I imagined this. But that when Jack Marston takes his revenge, and with the authorities beginning to take notice, he joins the French Foreign Legion immediately in 1914. He becomes a new man and is granted a new identity by the French, and the emigrates back to the US, albeit under a new name, and manages to buy back his family's land, able to keep it in the family. And perhaps has a war bride and starts life again without the authorities onto him. Except that his kids would end up becoming mobsters in the 1920's and 1930's, setting the stage for Red Dead Redemption 3, where perhaps he does many things to atone for the transgressions of his children to the mob. Just a thought.
This would make for an epic Red Dead Redemption III
In Red Dead 3 a great prologue would be Jack fighting in WW1. Then for the main game he comes back to the US.
Very well done, dint know rdr2 was capabel of such things, the angles werey very nice an you somhow captured lots of emoitions in yor shots. very nice

It was already outdated but as a " screen use " prop the Krag Jorgensen bolt action rifle would have been a way more historically accurate choice : Because lever action such as the Yellow boy has seen service only unofficially with 1870's cavalry in the USA only.
Agreed I don't get how some other people in the comments are calling this extremely historical accurate
