THE BEST BANANA BREAD RECIPE
The Best Banana Bread
3 medium brown bananas (about 12-14 ounces) the more the better!
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 cup white whole wheat flour
3/4 cup coconut sugar (or turbinado sugar)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Pre-heat oven to 325 Fº
Place bananas in a large bowl and mash with the back of a fork until they are all broken down.
Add in the coconut oil, white whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir until everything is just combined.
Transfer into an 8x8 baking dish lined with parchment paper or coated with cooking spray.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until set through.
Cool and enjoy.
Cut into 9 squares!

This bread can also be baked in a loaf pan. Just be sure to cook for an extra 5 minutes or so until the bread is set in the center.

I've been experimenting with banana bread recipes and hands down this is the BEST BANANA RECIPE EVERRRR.
I substituted coconut oil with olive oil and less than 1/2 cup brown sugar and 5 bananas. I can't just describe in words how amazing it was. Thank you.
Absolutely delicious! The perfect amount of sweetness. Used 3 ripe bananas. Replaced the cup of white whole wheat flour for all purpose. Replaced 3/4 cup of coconut sugar for 9 tablespoons of dark brown sugar. Coated the pan with canola oil spray. Cooked the banana bread for 45 min. Cooled for 10 min, then sliced into 12 squares.
I had 3 bananas too, but I used 2,5 and ate other half))

This was delicious!!!! I did not have white whole wheat flour so i used equal parts of regular wheat flour and whole wheat flour. I also used vegan butter instead of coconut oil. And like the comments suggested, 1/2 cup of sugar works perfectly! 1/4 cup of mixed nuts is a very nice crunchy addition!!!! Thank you Dani
I just made this and it's great! I did use vegetable oil as I don't like the taste of coconut oil and I used regular white flour because that's what I had. Thank you for this delicious non-dairy banana bread. As a dairy allergy sufferer I appreciate these kind of recipes. Thanks!
Oh man, I just made this for the second time! So delicious. Also, a tip. One of my sons has an egg allergy, so instead of eggs, use plain full fat yogurt! 1/4 cup per egg! Can’t taste a difference 😋

Vegan version of an egg could be 3tbs. Flax seed (ground) : 1tbs water. 😀
Try apple sauce as well. Easy to replace egg with a cup of apple sauce in any baked recipes. Also add a little flavor even with flavored apple sauce. Perfect for cake!

I made this banana bread recipe several times substituting the wheat flour for gluten free flour. It was so delicious! Then, yesterday I used this recipe adding in well-drained crushed pineapple & unsweetened organic coconut. Oh my! My hubby and I couldn’t stop eating it! Giving the recipe a tad of a Hawaiian flair was fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing this banana bread recipe.

Deb Becker, I used all the same ingredients including the bananas. I added the drained crushed pineapple & unsweetened coconut to the recipe. So delicious!

I loveeeee this recipe!! I made a few changes to make it a bit healthier. I used 3/4 cup of oat flour (so easy to make) and just 2 tables of brown sugar! Hope this helped!
You add the flour and oats together or just oats?
@@ldnh.6300 hey! I like to blend the oats to a pretty fine powder then add 1/4 cup of AP flour. I personally love oat texture, but you don’t maybe use 1/2 cup of oat flour and 1/2 cup of AP flour. Hope this helps!

I know this recipe is over 2 years old but I just recently found it & tried it out. I have to tell you this is sooo good. I used gluten free flour, added walnuts & used unsalted butter instead of coconut oil & it still came out delicious. Thank you, this is definitely my new go to recipe😋❤
Made this today ..it’s absolutely delicious! Reduced the amount of sugar slightly and used half cup wheat flour half cup all purpose flour . I also added cashews, walnuts and chocolate chips to the mix .

Just made this. Absolutely delicious. I changed the coconut sugar for just 3 tablespoon of Stevia and it was enough. 3/4 cup of coconut sugar etc seems a lot. I added walnuts to it... Love it... Thanks 👍
I have already made this banana bread 3 times. Its really easy to make and so delicious! Once i added chocolate chunks and once coffee. The recipe is so forgiving that you can add anything yet it will taste good. Thank you for this simple recipe.

Thanks for your easy and healthy recipe.. I made it and love it!! Very soft and moist. I put only 2 tbsp of sugar since I preffer no too sweet and added some baking powder so it became a little like banana cake.
I made this banana bread today and this is the BEST banana bread I hv ever had, better than those in the shop I promise you. I made a few changes tho as I dont hv all the ingredients, including AP flour for white whole wheat flour, white and brown sugar mixture instead of coconut sugar, also butter instead of coconut butter, my family loves it.

Today I made this recipe with half oat flour and half wheat flour. I had blueberries and strawberries from the garden so I added them with some chopped walnuts. I also reduced the sugar a bit since the fruit adds a lot of sweetness. So delicious!❤️
This is by far the best banana bread. This is the BEST BEST Banana Bread Recipe. So Delicious! I substituted sugar with brown sugar. Today I was short banana so I added 1/2 c of apple sauce and the cooked flesh of a sweet potato. Hoping it works out as I was craving this bread but needed more banana type substance.

This was one of the best banana breads I have ever made. I did make one substitution using organic Perfect Flour Blend, ingredients: organic sweet brown rice, flour, organic tapioca starch, organic brown rice flour, organic arrowroot powder, organic sorghum flour, and xanthan gum. Other than that, I stuck to the recipe to a T. Dani, thank you for all of your wonderful education, wisdom and being willing to share it with so many who need it! I can’t help but say Thank you!!! This really is an awesome and healthy banana bread. I substituted eggs with flax eggs and added about 2 tbsps of cocoa powder to make it a chocolate banana bread along with some walnuts and choco chips. 1/2 cup of sugar is actually perfect though I would use less next time. 😊

Hello, I would like to say thank you very much for such a delicacy! Since I didn't have 2 eggs , I have added 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt. As sweetener I have used roughly 1/3 cup of honey, the cake came out amazing, thank you!

I prefer my banana completely pureed and do it with coconut sugar. I also add 1 teaspoon baking powder and make it in a loaf pan.

This was amazing!! I got tired of freezing my bananas for smoothies. I like everything super sweet (I’m workin on it) but I actually think I can handle cutting the sugar back to 1/2 cup and seeing how it goes. :). & next time I want to try it w oat flour. Maybe some mix-ins too. Pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, raisins, walnuts... mmm. Btw I gave my husky a little piece as a treat and she followed me all around the house for more. :)

@@SunnahTaqwa Hello! I actually add 2 extra tablespoon of flour and keep everything else the exact same (sometimes I add walnuts) and honestly the texture is still just as good. Still very fluffy. I know my mom also adds 2 tablespoons of greek yogurt and says its also great. I personally don't add the yogurt. Hope that helps! Definitely worth making!

I've made this recipe so many times and it always comes out so delicious! I always make two breads and add 2 tbs of cacao to one of them and it is a delicious choco-banana bread. My family loves the 2 variations. Thanks so much for recipe.😋

@@taylor8586 I used store-brand inexpensive 'All-Purpose Flour', Sea Salt (it's what I had), and I substituted the sugar with 'Natural Honey'. All the other ingredients were as she lists and the bread tastes amaaazing. Enjoy 😃

This *actually* is the BEST Banana Bread recipe out there. Trust me. I've tried a lot other recipes a numerous times but this one gave the perfect chewy fugdy feeling I had been seeking. Just made a few changes
Since I only had one egg I used that plus the two left over yolks I found.
Instead of coconut oil, I used 2-3 Tablespoons if yogurt because I didn't wanna use butter.
I put only 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
And instead of One cup I put 3/4 cup whole wheat flour because I don't like the spongy taste.
And GOD it turned out amazing.
Soooo good ! I have made this twice - thank you !! My mom has to eat healthy so whole wheat flour is a must ! She loved it - just lowered the sugar amount and perfecto

Hi Dani! This is indeed the best banana bread recipe I've ever tried. I made it yesterday and there's only one slice left. I used a loaf pan. And I'm making it again today, I'll just reduce the sugar. It was extremely sweet! Maybe I won't add any sugar and just put some raisins in the batter and crushed pecans on top. Thank you very much for this recipe! I'll be adding it to my recipe notebook for sure! :) P.S.: The coconut oil goes so well with banana bread. Much better than butter.

Dani, This recipe is WONDERFUL. It's sweet and flavorful and I love how little oil is required. My one suggestion is that if folks use gluten free flour (as I have to) that they add a little additional leavening. Thank you so much for all you do.

Tried this recipe yesterday and my family loved it! Had to make a few changes with the available ingredients at home (skipped the eggs etc) and mistakenly used only 1/4 tsp of baking powder and vanilla extract, but it's still delicious and so easy to make

It's great !!! I also added walnuts and a bit of chocolate chips. And I used 1/3 of a cup of coconut sugar and it's a bit too sweet for my liking. But have you tried to make it with a sprouted flour?! It's lighter than a regular whole wheat flour plus it has a bit of a sweet taste.
