If documentaries have been getting away with using footage of the Olympic and claiming it as footage of the Titanic, I think we can forgive the subbed driving shots. Also chocolate is nutritious for the psyche. That towing course and parking lot practice session were really good ideas. One last thing, quiet moments of peaceful inaction is something some film makers purposefully put in their movies. It's not boring, it's restful. Thank you again for inviting us on your adventures.

5 star reversal that must have been nerve wracking ! The clip at the end with your lights on in the pod showing light around your door frame was not something I expected to see ! I just hope your door wasn’t shut but if not the wind noise would be awful. Loved it as usual , thank you for taking us along 👍
The door might have been on the latch in the clip. But it might not have been 🙈 The door seal isn’t great and it does create a bad draft in windy cold weather. I usually use a towel as a draft excluder. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
@@Roz.S It's odd, isn't it? I always used, with my previous caravan, to reverse to my right (which also means slightly uphill) to get into my drive at home, at the end of a trip. I only did it by reversing left if the position of other vehicles made that necessary but that was rarely - and more stressful Since getting my new caravan, with a more powerful motor-mover, I just unhitch and use the remote control handset unit to get up the drive. The looks on some drivers' faces...! This was a GREAT video. One of the best so far. A bit naughty to let us think you'd fallen asleep and missed the ferry, though. I'd been urging you, under my breath, NOT to have a nap before setting off for the ferry...
I know you're getting tired of the lousy weather, so I shall thank you for doing what it takes to get on with seeing things, showing us all and giving Winston his best life. I know one day when he's waiting for you on the other side you will be able to KNOW you did right by him, even when it was a pain in the bum for you. You're a good woman Roz

You would absolutely love the scenery around South Africa... From mountains to deserts to beaches... And even during winter, the temperature seldom goes below 10 degrees Celsius throughout the day majority of the country. Having said that... There are parts of the country that are in n the mountains, spectacular views one side and you turn around and it's up to 3" of snow!!! Thank you for another installment of the adventure fix!! ❤❤❤

Howdy 🤠🏴 - I was tempted to try and get across, but the problem is that I would then have to walk back again 😅 - I am a tight-arse when it comes to money 😂😂 (I have spreadsheets and everything 👩🏻💻) I hate losing/wasting money so yeah, you're right, I wouldn't have missed a ferry I'd already paid for 😅😅 - thank you 😇 I still struggle with a reverse to the left though 😅 but I'll get there. Great bit of reversing Roz, you put me to shame! 15 years of towing and I still mess up when reversing. I picked up a great tip as well, the elastic around the water inlet lid, so simple but stops that annoying rattling in the wind. Thanks, Can’t wait for the next instalment 👍
I'm good at reversing in a straight line, but I still get a bit messed up around corners (especially to reversing to the left) 🙈 I hate to hear the water lid flap so I always have an elastic on it now 24/7. A hair bobble works great 👍🏼 Thanks for watching.

Ive just binge watched your videos from the beginning. Im all caught up and am so looking forward to continuing to follow you on your travels. I did the Outer Hebrides on the Calmac Hopscotch (route 14 I think) starting in Ullapool to Stornoway and worked my way southbound through the islands to Barra then back to Oban in my campervan in 2021. It was amazing. Following you now makes me reminisce because you are doing more or less the same things I did. Thank you thank you 🙏🙏

Your reversing is very impressive. I struggled with my Estate car and a two berth caravan, and I am an HGV driver. Give me a forty footer and I can back it in anywhere. Love your travels with Winston. ilona

Haha - 9 degrees and 20mph winds!! Here in the Bloo Toon, that's a typical Summers' day with shorts & t-shirts on the go everywhere!!! I love the climate here though as it's not too cold and not too warm. Can't handle much above 24/25 Celcius TBH, so that that rules me out of the (way) overly congested resorts! Happy & safe travels to you both!!

One star & one hanger on , you can choose which you are 😂 . Well done on the reverseing . Little tip , leave the van in gear either 1st or reverse depending which way the road is slopeing , 1st gear if faceing uphill , reverse if faceing downhill . Thankyou for another great video .
This is my third ferry and the trip and they put me at the front on this one, but I've also been put in the middle and at the back. So, I think it just depends on what other traffic is there etc 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks so much for watching 😀🐶

I'm good at reversing in a straight line, but I still get a bit messed up around corners (especially to reversing to the left) 🙈
I hate to hear the water lid flap so I always have an elastic on it now 24/7. A hair bobble works great 👍🏼

Brilliant piece of reversing at the ferry terminal, Roz, a lot more difficult with a small caravan, so easy to ‘lose’ it. Harris looks a stunning island, hope the weathers better there for you. Cheers both for another great video.
Well said Roz, on the liquid meals. People are taken in by all the marketing around them, protein powders for body builders another example. Oh, and energy/electrolyte drinks.

Hi Roz and Winston! I agree with you when it comes to meal replacement stuff. I consider them to be a chemical sh*t-show. Anyway, I just love your channel. Ive just binge watched your videos from the beginning. Im all caught up and am so looking forward to continuing to follow you on your travels. I did the Outer Hebrides on the Calmac Hopscotch (route 14 I think) starting in Ullapool to Stornoway and worked my way southbound through the islands to Barra then back to Oban in my campervan in 2021. It was amazing. Following you now makes me reminisce because you are doing more or less the same things I did. Thank you thank you 🙏🙏

Your reversing is very impressive. I struggled with my Estate car and a two berth caravan, and I am an HGV driver. Give me a forty footer and I can back it in anywhere. Love your travels with Winston. ilona

Haha - 9 degrees and 20mph winds!! Here in the Bloo Toon, that's a typical Summers' day with shorts & t-shirts on the go everywhere!!! I love the climate here though as it's not too cold and not too warm. Can't handle much above 24/25 Celcius TBH, so that that rules me out of the (way) overly congested resorts! Happy & safe travels to you both!!

One star & one hanger on , you can choose which you are 😂 . Well done on the reverseing . Little tip , leave the van in gear either 1st or reverse depending which way the road is slopeing , 1st gear if faceing uphill , reverse if faceing downhill .

This is my third ferry and the trip and they put me at the front on this one, but I've also been put in the middle and at the back. So, I think it just depends on what other traffic is there etc 🤷🏻♀️
