I’ve been cruising since I was a child, this is my 8th MSC cruise, but this trip has blown my mind in so many ways. Before this, I really had no idea what to expect from the luxury ship concept, as I normally cruise as cheaply as possible. I knew I always wanted to try it but had no idea what the benefits would be or if this way of cruising would suit me at all.
The reality was not what I expected and I was surprised by new things every day.

I’ve wanted to go through the MSC Yacht Club doors since my first MSC cruise in 2012, and I hoped that it would live up to what I’d built up in my mind. I really felt like an undercover budget cruiser but I was determined to find out what all the hype was about so that I could share it with you here.
From the moment I set foot in the terminal it was very obvious that this cruise would be different, our cabin came with the perk of priority boarding.
I was expecting perhaps just to join a shorter line but once we introduced ourselves to the crew member at the special tent, he took our bags and called over another staff member who said he would escort us through the terminal.
I’ve never been escorted anywhere in my life, and it was so much fun. Weird for sure, but fun. We didn’t have to wait at any point and only very briefly took a break for a glass of champagne in a special area in the terminal. That one is optional of course but I thought why not, if I’m going to experience this properly, I should try everything.
The staff gave us our cruise cards and MSC wristbands and they even put mine on my wrist for me. That really was a sign of things to come but at this point I had no idea what the week would be like.

I saw where someone once said that luxury is not having to think about anything. Thus the escorts, putting your wristband on you, the butler, not stopping the elevator on any other floors, 'free' perks, VIP seating, physical menus, etc.

Emma, my wife and I love your vlogs. We always wanted to go on a cruise. However, after my wife's cancer in 2015, my stroke in 2011, and know my stage 4 cancer we can't afford it. So we live our cruise dreams by watching you. Keep the vlogs coming.
So sorry to hear about your health situation. Life is not easy but I’m sure hope and dreams can still be made. Maybe you or someone else can set up a Go Fund Me? Also MSC is the most affordable cruise line. An inside cabin can cost $400 plus some for a week. I really do hope you and your wife can physically and financially go and enjoy a cruise for yourselves. Life is too short to think what if….🩷
As a cancer survivor myself, I have a few significant issues still from it, and I know exactly how you feel. I could also never go on a cruise, but I love watching Emma's videos as a way to live vicariously! Also, I know you're stage four, but that doesn't mean there's no hope! Keep up the fight my friend.

I do not usually say this about a you tube presenter, but I am so happy for you Emma that you are getting recognised by the cruise companies. Your hard work and dedication to cruising make you an ideal promoter of all things cruising (including products & pre-cruising requirements). I am also glad that you explored and experienced all the perks that the Yacht Club has to offer. I have found on some other cruising channels they are almost embarassed to take advantage of those perks, which I think is the reason to accept the invitation. I am not surprised that MSC have put your videos up on official MSC content, because your video gave a comprehensive and very positive view of their Yacht Club. I know it is his job, but if I had a butler and they had done as a good job as yours did, he would be getting a huge reward at the end of the cruise. Having spent a few years on a US Navy aircraft carrier I thought I had seen enough water. However Emma, watching your video's and seeing how much fun and relaxation there is on board this kind of ship, I may just have to give it a go. Regarding the languages, I noticed one of the scheduled activities that MSC has is language lessons. Nothing in-depth, but maybe 5 languages for 30 minutes 1-2 times per cruise. It was a cool touch.

We are booked on the MSC Meraviglia YC out of Brooklyn end March 2025. Living in New York, it’s the only way I can get to an island beach since my husband no longer wants to fly.
We’ve only been on two cruises ever, and I’ve been watching many videos on MSC at club.
You are one of the few that seems to have enjoyed the rest of the ship while being booked in the yacht club - other lounges, different bars, specialty restaurant package. Thank you for expanding my vision of what’s possible possible on this cruise. We are looking forward to it very much. I am too very excited about the Butler service, the spa, and other perks.

As a long time cruiser I have to say the best perks are when you can get upgraded to Suite guest. we have had that experience, fun. Also my 2 hopes for future cruising are #1 smoking areas go away; and #2 formal nights go away. Thanks Emma.

Many, many years ago, coming back from a business trip to Europe, I splurged and took a transatlantic cruise Southampton to NYC on Cunard's QE2. I had a nice suite and was assigned to a table for 6 in the Princess Grill, where 4 of us were Americans (TV and corporate) and 2 were a British hog farmer and his wife who took the trip every year, spent a week in NYC, and flew home. The Brits were the absolute hit of the crossing! Friendly and fun, and full of interesting stories. The rest of us knew what each other did - boring office stuff! The Brits were different! They raised livestock!
I have since transitioned from a lifetime in urban America to a small town in Wyoming (910 people) and a building contractor friend has the same experience, but in reverse. When he's on a plane or in a foreign country, people say so....what do you do in Wyoming? At which point he pulls out a photo of him holding up a 210 pound mountain lion he shot two miles from his house and the conversation is off to the races!
The point I would make is that exclusivity can have its drawbacks if you're only around others like yourself. In my case, while the hog farmer and his wife could clearly afford luxury on Cunard, it was lucky and unusual to have them. They were different, down-to-earth, and just delightful.
My husband and I love meeting new people when we travel and typically don't mention what we do for a living, because we want to hear about them. I just hope (and we try very hard) that we are each as good an ambassador for the US as this farmer and his wife were for the UK.
Emma, your dress game is so strong! On this channel, the number of times I think to myself, "There she goes again, looking gorgeous in an incredibly stylish dress..." As always, super video. Yacht Club suits you!

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your videos especially this one. Giving the point of view of a "regular" person and not from a marketing expert or over the top trying to sell the product. Your honest feedback and review is a breath of fresh air. I do have a suggestion, if you could have text pop-up when you are verbally sharing prices of the items you ate or received (and the currency if it isn't mentioned) of items/services. Or perhaps in the description what your total cost was (itemized if possible). It helps us decide what we should try or pass, again thank you so much for your videos.

Wow what a hoot - thanks for a great video Emma! After watching some of your earlier videos we took a deep breath and tried MSC this past May. It was a transatlantic on Divina and we absolutely loved it. We loved the diversity, the ship was magnificent and despite our reservations based on other people's comments we also really loved the food and service. Now we will definitely look out for a relatively affordable Yacht Club experience.

I love your British-isms! I grew up in Boston, and a jumper to us is a type of pullover dress that girls wear with two straps over the shoulders and either a turtleneck worn underneath or some type of jersey shirt. Great video!
Thankyou especially for pointing out the smoking areas, so commonly missed in reviews. Do you feel the club compares to silverseas or canard queens grill? Looks amazing to me.
You always make your videos so interesting. Might want to dial back your wheat flour intake so you feel your best during these beautiful cruises. The luxury option on this cruise is the one I would choose, since I will be traveling solo or perhaps one friend or family member. Are dietary restrictions easy to navigate, such as dairy or gluten-free?
Just got home today from my first MSC cruise on the Meraviglia. We saw the MSC yacht club onboard and I was wondering about it. Did you mention what the cost was for that?

I embarked on the same ship in Copenhagen on the 13th October. All I can say is MSC must have supplied most of your photos or you took them at 3am. It was packed in every area when we were on. I refer to it as my weight-loss cruise because I got tired of queueing for meals, so skipped them 😂. We did have a booked sitting in the normal dining restaurant every evening. Much of the food in the dining restaurant was really below average, especially the soups. I will say the crew were all really lovely. The bread and the homemade mozzarella in the buffet were really good when you could get near them. Don’t travel MSC unless you can afford the Yacht Club is my advice.
Amazing experience Emma - thanks for taking us with you! Hopefully you can adjust back to your “normal” cruising after this! (I’ve flown business class a couple of times with work - going back to budget airlines after that feels like a bit of a come-down! 😂)

I enjoyed your recap of the sailing on Celebrity Edge.
My wife and I will be going on our second cruise with Celebrity in March of 2026.
It will however be our FIRST time sailing on there Edge class as we will be sailing on Ascent and our first experience as well in a suite category.
We chose a Aqua class sky suite for our 11 night Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean cruise and we are looking forward to the retreat experience as well.

Because the Euribia is one of their newer ships, it has a wine tasting bar with a computerized wine table that educates the participants on different wines, grapes and their tastes. Excellent.

Well, you've done it again, Emma! We are now looking to get a Yacht Club cabin on the MSC Seaside, even though we'd never been on an MSC cruise before and had heard/seen not so great reviews on her. But the value that we've seen with the Yacht Club is something that we'd really only experienced on Azamara. So, THANK YOU! Captain Hudson will definitely go on this one! 🚢😸😃

Seeing everyone having fun is one of the best parts of being on a cruise. On MSC Spendidta we did some geography trivia and we sat next to the eventual winner. He was so excited, and so happy to show off his geography knowledge and chat about the questions, it was really a highlight of the trip.
