Hello!! Ah man, we need to have these Go-Pods here in the States (usa). You are so lucky to have them in the U.K. Thanks for sharing!! Love and blessings, and Be safe out there.
@Roz.S I'm not sure, but I think our "teardrop" towables would qualify. Also, there are some more squared off models that are compact, but they are not listed as "mini" -- think we might have a size complex or something over here...maybe?😅
I'm in a similar situation as you. I'm retired and caravan all year around mostly in the lake district and Scotland. Just me and my small dog. I mostly use the CCC club sites which are ideal for solo campers . No need to book in advance at this time of year either so I keep an eye on the weather forecast and when a decent spell comes up I go for it. Enjoyed the video.
Yes, I've mainly used CCC sites so far. Although, I don't like going to the same site twice and I'm running it out od club sites, so I think I'm going to have to join the CAMC. We're off to the Lakes next week :) Thanks for watching and commenting x

Hi, I'm a first time viewer to your channel, it's so refreshing to watch you and your cute dog Winston especially on dull rainy days like these, i enjoy the autumn scenery, the different colours and the walks you go on, great content, brilliant to watch. 😊❤️
Lovely video, as an almost 60yr old, caravanned for many years , it’s shocking how heavy caravans have become. My last van was 1120kg fully laden - six berth Elddis. Previous was an old 5 berth, about 900kg fully laden. In your small van a 500kw oil filled radiator would supply enough heat safely to keep the winter chill off during the night.

They are so economical that I turn off the main heat in the spare rooms, set them to 500W and use them to maintain a minimal warmth level during our New England winter! It saves on furnace fuel big time!
Just a little tip. You should aways try to lift up the back of the van off it's suspension, a couple of inches, and confirm the rise, with a vertical object, placed on the floor, next to your van rear, as a datum, after you have hitched up, with the jockey wheel raiser, to ensure 100%, that it is locked on to the ball and attach the breakaway cable afterwards, before you stow the jocky wheel.
I didn't note that you hadn't lifted the hitch handle forward thus triggering the red/green indicator on the hitch to the green mode. I can't imagine you missed this, guess you were more concentrating on the video production and double checked before you departed. Not a criticism, just a concern @@Roz.S 👍
@@jontremaine1 As the hitch goes onto the ball, the red indicator pops up and turns green. I check this every single time. One of my dog walking friends said if ever he stops wagging his tail get him to the vets!! We live in the Forest of Dean so luckily have the forest literally 50m away. Thank you. Nana Karen UK
Good trip. We used to use an old coat to cover our water. You can run your water pipe through one of the arms. Use a bungee to stop it getting blown away.
Thanks so much for the tip! I'm going to use my old sleeping bag with some bungee cords. Pretty much the same as an old coat, but I don't have an old coat (yet!) ...although the sleeve thing is genius!!
Another little tip for you. If you don't get any insulated bags for your water container try a old winter jacket you don't use anymore and for your water pump try some pipe lagging to stop it freezing.
I’m just smiling every time I see Winstons tail, and I am just so glad to «live in the same century» as him, being able to experience his lovely personality, together with you, the best ever friend for him. Just love you both. ♥️

I had a quick Look at those caravans. Too heavy for my little van but great caravans. Wishing you lots of happy adventures!! Thanks for subscribing and watching our videos.
I believe more people are feeling the same with the changes in society going on. I know that I prefer home to going out and use to not feel this way. Solitude clears the mind.
I've just stumbled on this channel, i don't live too far away from Delamere the camping and caravan site looks lovely. I've subscribed keep the videos coming they're brilliant 👍🏻
Thumbs up for showing the imperfect as well as the perfect shots. Inspirational video. Brought back memories of cycling around Delamere when I lived in that part of the world.
Many thanks for this video, I enjoyed it very much, loved to see the woods, liked your pod, loved your dog. Seems you did not find your glove, that is a pity.
When I go away with my caravan I am always really warm as I put up a small tent by caravan and sleep and stay in that. I can’t remember being in the caravan in the last 30 years actually. 😊😊
How utterly lovely. Looked so cosy. Try 'O'Keefes Working Hands' hand cream, it's amazing and you can use an old padded work coat for your water or pipe lagging. We use caravan all year round.x
Husband and I have an older Conversion Van for camping and quick adventuring/outings. We bought a 12V headed throw. Many long distance truckers use them in their cabs. It's not large 60X40 inches but it works great and you can lay your clothes on top of it to heat them each morning before getting dressed, that's such an added luxury 😀. For temps below freezing we pack in our water for all our uses and drain the main lines to avoid any problems freezing. Three 2Gallon Water jugs is plenty for the two us us for a few nights stay. After doing it, it becomes commonplace and we rarely drink water that we don't pack in ourselves. Same for our two dogs. Hope the tips are helpful to you and your cute dog.
Really enjoyed this. Winter camping can be great fun and you really made the most of it! I know exactly what you mean about needing a good hand cream - my hands get trashed at this time of year.

I’m enjoying your Go-Pod content very much, the caravan is an intriguing proposition although I’m 6’ 4” so probably too tall for it. You’ve detailed your recreation and work life in it very well and the van and caravan together look like they were made for each other. Eagerly anticipating your new content.
Thank you very much. At 6'4'', you may not be able to stand up fully, even in the pop-top area. A 6'3'' friend of mine only just fit inside. And you'd definitely have to hang your feet out over the end of the bed 😅 We're currently wrapping up a trip in the Lake District, and I will be editing the vlog as soon as I get home. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This was a nice start to the week, you popped up on RUclips & I thought camping, dog, forest, I must watch this & I'm glad I did. Hi to you & Winston, look forward to seeing your next adventure.
Hi , caravan life is soo nice 😀!I had my last trip with my 2017 Adria Adora 522 UP in the first week of october ... this season, sicne the winter is getting cold and snowy here in south east Norway 😋. For installing cozy lights I can recommend USB RGB led strips with remote controller and adhesive tape on the strip, from Biltema... which can be connected to usb charger or usb battery powerbank ... I'm looking forward to my next trip maybe in late april 🥰😋
I am enjoying winter touring very much! I can definitely see the appeal. Thanks very much for the tip for cozy lights; I'll check them out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Your vlogs keep popping up in no particular order but I'm still enjoying watching them..... P.S. if the van couldn't turn into the junction because of your position then the van behind must wait until you complete your manoeuvre and not try and overtake the van infront of them.............highway code
Great little video, something I could really do with in my life help hey me fot again, I hate been stuck at home myself, always out on little adventures, will be looking into these little touring pods, ideal for me New subscriber 😊

Saving on washing up is something not to be underestimated it = more time for fun and a lil stand for the water containers keep themoff the floor helps 😊
Just new to you , gosh this takes me back , my hubbie and I went away for many Christmases to Hawes N. Yorkshire and Grange over Sands in Cumbria , in Cumbria minus 10 during the day , many Caravan Club &MH sites now open all year round , yes a water jacket for the water container and it's pipe a must and red propene gas , a small water container with a tap is a must to keep inside your pod and always make sure it is filled before dark , as I once slipped on the ice and down I went but escaped the broken hip 😮 never again lesson learnt , hot water bottles and fleece bedding and warm jammies and never forget the fleece socks , an absolute must , lucky this time with the gloves but always keep spare pair of fingerless mittens in the pod , great at keeping her hands warm, but able to attend to jobs and look after your skin too. 😊❤
We do winter camping in our Campervan, lovely and warm with the heating on and bracing walks with our dog in the cold air. We often go to Castleton in the Peak District, just before Christmas. I think we’ve done part of that Delamere Forest walk, when we were staying at Chester in our van.
I'm enjoying winter touring much more than I thought I would. Lovely and warm in the pod, and then as you say, lovely walks in the cold air. Plus, the campsites are very quiet. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Something like a split Pool Noodle to insulate your your pipes could be a good idea. You could even clip them to the rims of some of your boxes in the van, when not in use. Or around the roof rack.
We used to have an electric blanket on low for my daughter in the winter. That was lovely. Also had the heater on lowest setting too. Loved your video. Thank you.😊 ps. I love Delamere too.
There was no damage to either parties vehicles so no need to dwell on it and it a learning curve darling you will be more aware and do better next time
Just found your video, you left just before the weather changed. I arrived on the Saturday , on the same pitch as you vacated, the clouds followed me down. My friends were on the next pitch to you in their caravan, with the old sleeping bag round the water container, we had our first taste of snow that night . Low clouds and mist until Wednesday before the winds came ! The Pod seems a nice unit for you both, everything you need and not a lot to store at home. Delamere is a place I stay at 3 or 4 times a year great site , apart from the potholes on the roads ! Carry on with your adventures. and I will follow your trips to places I have not been to.
Ahh small world! Yes the pot holes at Delamere were really something else. Some of them probably could have eaten my pod whole 😂 I was very lucky with the weather. I don't live far away and noticed the weather change as soon as I got home. Thanks for watching and commenting.

It's not a Kampa heater. I tried getting a Kampa one but they were out of stock. The one I've got is from Amazon, but I think it's pretty much the same. Either way, your idea is genius. Thanks so much!
Hi there, I also love the Delemere site with my Springer Spaniel. A couple of brilliant sites are Meathop Fell in the South Lakes and Old Hartley in Northumberland for the most beautiful beaches and walks. I stop off at the Thirsk Racecourse site to break up the journey and that is really good also. A heated throw & leaving the heating on low is good if the temp is going to drop lower than -3. Finally, don’t put your pod away, travel all year when you can; the changing seasons are brilliant.
Thank you. We've just got back from the North Lakes and are definitely going to keep travelling. Thanks for the tips, especially the campsites. We're always looking for new places to go to. Thanks for watching and commenting
I had the same problem with the water canister freezing I got black containers and use wrapping foil for the outside,. Black plastic jerry cans in the summer left in the sun also for hot water and wind brackers for a hot shower,.
First time viewer also, I love winter camping it’s a little more work but can be so beautiful also, and I love your comment that you enjoy the campgrounds more with nobody in them, you took the words right out of my mouth, all I need is a good book and my fur baby and a warm camper
Yes, caravans are much cheaper because you're not paying for an engine, but you do still need another vehicle to tow it with 👍🏼 Luckily, the Pods can be towed by a lot of vehicles since they're so light, so you don't need a big SUV or pick up 👍🏼
@@Roz.S thanks , the additional awning you used on your Brecon Beacons trip looks like a superb set up for longer stays. Definitely a more affordable and realistic option for me to enjoy the outdoors as opposed to a camper van which are massive money .

I’m like you in that respect I don’t like crowds, nothing is more loyal and friendly than the four legged friends and that’s why I have two dog they both keep each other entertained and friendly with one another but they are great company for me! Don’t get me wrong I have a big friend base but I do love my dogs more, they don’t answer back, if that makes sense!! Keep up with the vlogs I love them!
Heating Insulated Wrap All ...Beautiful Camper Great Scenery. Beautiful Precious Winston God Bless You. Thank You For Video. ❤
You're more than welcome. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
You Are Amazing Thank You AgainFor Video Kiss Winston For Me And Really Use The Insulated Foam Wrap Around The Fans And Hoses And Hookups Keep From Freezing And Breaking Elements
Even if you don't like people, Winston is a good boy and cannot be not loved.
I go through phases of never having any corned beef and then buying a tin every week 😂🙈
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
enjoyed lt thanks
I'm 70 now but used to summer camp so am enjoying this and will subscribe. I have a b&w springer, Angus. I love the way they are 100% enthusiastic!! One of my dog walking friends said if ever he stops wagging his tail get him to the vets!! We live in the Forest of Dean so luckily have the forest literally 50m away. Thank you. Nana Karen UK
Spaniels are such happy dogs! I don't think they have any control over their tails 😅

your wee video is just what i needed to find today, thanks for sharing, i need one of these in my life
Another great little RV that I wish the United States had. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome.

Great video, we have a pod and love it when it's cold outside and we are cosy inside.
I enjoyed that feeling too. And since the pod is so small, it heats up really quickly. 👍
Thanks for watching and commenting x
Another little tip for you. If you don't get any insulated bags for your water container try a old winter jacket you don't use anymore and for your water pump try some pipe lagging to stop it freezing.
Great idea!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Winston is absolutely adorable and you are pretty cute as well !
I’m just smiling every time I see Winstons tail, and I am just so glad to «live in the same century» as him, being able to experience his lovely personality, together with you, the best ever friend for him. Just love you both. ♥️
Thanks so much!
I love the googlie eye on your heat reflector for the front window 😂😂😂... Great fun my darling xxx
I think the eyes bring my little pod to life 😀
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Lovely video, never seen you before but I have subscribed. I'd love to see a little more of life inside the pod.😊😊😊
Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing. That was my first vlog. Others coming soon 😃
Recently subscribed to your channel and absolutely love it. Winston is adorable and a great companion for you. I’ve recently bought an Elddis 302 xplore to get away on weekends with my wife and our 3 yr old miniature schnauzer. 💪💪💪❤️❤️
I had a quick Look at those caravans. Too heavy for my little van but great caravans. Wishing you lots of happy adventures!! Thanks for subscribing and watching our videos.
I love the bit, I don't like people. I'm exactly the same.
I find more peace in solitude 😇 Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I believe more people are feeling the same with the changes in society going on. I know that I prefer home to going out and use to not feel this way. Solitude clears the mind.
I've just stumbled on this channel, i don't live too far away from Delamere the camping and caravan site looks lovely. I've subscribed keep the videos coming they're brilliant 👍🏻
Great to have you here. Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing.
Thumbs up for showing the imperfect as well as the perfect shots. Inspirational video. Brought back memories of cycling around Delamere when I lived in that part of the world.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching.
Really enjoyed watching that was a good campsite beautiful scenery I love Autumn Winston is a beautiful dog will watch again
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
You're a lady after my own heart... reduced yellow stickers. Love it😊
Love a good yellow sticker bargain!! 😅👍🏼
Thanks for watching.
How utterly lovely. Looked so cosy. Try 'O'Keefes Working Hands' hand cream, it's amazing and you can use an old padded work coat for your water or pipe lagging. We use caravan all year round.x
Thank you so much for the tips. And thank you for watching and commenting:)
🎄🎄❄❄⛄⛄🙏🙏THAT WAS FUN, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND HOT SHOWERS... THATS KOOL. CHEERS LIL LADY, NEAT CAMP POD.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great review, so so much miss Cheshire. Thank you 😊.
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much for the tips! Warm clothes to put on in the morning sounds lovely :)
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Looks a fabulous site ! Might be a good spot for my first ride and campout in march ....on 2 wheels and under canvas !
Sounds great! Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Really enjoyed this. Winter camping can be great fun and you really made the most of it! I know exactly what you mean about needing a good hand cream - my hands get trashed at this time of year.
YES! Hand cream sounds like such a small thing, but having dry and cracked fingers is no fun at all!
Thanks for watching and commenting x
Could yry body shop hemp hand cream . Absorbs fast , non greasy n I find it the best for winter when my hands crack . Game changer
@@annettesturgess5400 Thanks for the tip! :)
nice video
been living in a car for two years now have a four birth caravan and its like christmas every day
all the best to you and the wee beasty
ps your only angry for 90 seconds any longer and your in a mood so i hope the car driver reads this
peace and love to all
I am sure the shouting van man was just shouting encouragement and support for a woman and her dog going camping in the winter. People are great. 🙂
You may be right, and those swear words were just for added umph! 😅😅
Tbh, I don't blame him. I probably would have done the same if someone had pulled out on me 😅
@@Roz.Sit’s never fun to pull out in front of someone under those or any other circumstances however I kind of suspect we’ve all done it. I try to use these incidents to reinforce my beliefs that defensive driving is the safest driving and it’s better to err on the side of caution
And you'd definitely have to hang your feet out over the end of the bed 😅
We're currently wrapping up a trip in the Lake District, and I will be editing the vlog as soon as I get home.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you for your camping videos. I have thought about doing that with my cat. Take care from Pennsylvania.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
I love how the pod is remote control...love how you and Winston had a great time😊
It’s cool! It’s called a motor mover and it’s one of my favourite features!
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Beautiful spot. Miss my caravan days.
This is our first year of touring. Loving it so far.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Winston looks a good boy 😊
He is the bestest boy! 😍😇
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Blanking the reg on the van was a waste of time… it’s on your pod! Great video, thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was my first vlog and I started blanking both, but it took forever so I gave up 😅
Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it 👍🏼
This was a nice start to the week, you popped up on RUclips & I thought camping, dog, forest, I must watch this & I'm glad I did. Hi to you & Winston, look forward to seeing your next adventure.
So glad to hear that you enjoyed my first vlog. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I did the same😊
Enjoyed your journey with Winston. 😊
Just Subscribed... Love the van,and the chilled out Vlog.... A nice change from other Tubers . 10/10 ... And a Pooch 🐕💯🎄🎅......
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and subscribing! My dog is definitely the highlight of my content 😂
Great video, im disabled and would love to do more camping, definitely want a van in the future ❤
Thank you, ur making my Winter go faster. Nice video.

What a cute little camper thingy
Great little video, something I could really do with in my life help hey me fot again, I hate been stuck at home myself, always out on little adventures, will be looking into these little touring pods, ideal for me
New subscriber 😊
Great video Roseanna. That seemed like a pretty successful test and the campsite was really nice. 🙂
The test went great 👍🏼 A few little tweaks to make but I’m sure we can handle winter touring. We’re off on our next adventure in a few days. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
I`m an avid watcher of adventure travel vlogs - If this is your first vlog, then you have done really well (interesting and nicely presented) - Would love to see you and the camping pod on a skiing or sledging adventure in Scotland sometime - keep up the good work!
Yes, this was my first vlog, but I have since published another two. Thank you so much for your kind words. We've not tackled snowy conditions in the Pod yet, but we'll try to vlog it when we do!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just happened upon your channel and really enjoyed that video….looking forward to your next winter trip👍
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. We're off on our next mini-adventure tomorrow :)
Saving on washing up is something not to be underestimated it = more time for fun and a lil stand for the water containers keep themoff the floor helps 😊
Thanks for the tip! And yeah, life is too short to be washing pots! 😅

@@Roz.S blame camping in cold weather for the water stands wrapping them is deffo a plus matey 🤣🤣
Looks cold cozy and fun.
It was definitely all three! 🙂
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Something like a split Pool Noodle to insulate your your pipes could be a good idea. You could even clip them to the rims of some of your boxes in the van, when not in use. Or around the roof rack.
Great tip. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Thanks for a wonderful episode.
I really enjoyed it.
Looking forward to your further adventures.
Our pleasure!
We used to have an electric blanket on low for my daughter in the winter. That was lovely. Also had the heater on lowest setting too. Loved your video. Thank you.😊 ps. I love Delamere too.
Thank so much for the tip. A few people have mentioned an electric blanket, so I think I'll have to get one. :)
Thanks for watching and commenting
There was no damage to either parties vehicles so no need to dwell on it and it a learning curve darling you will be more aware and do better next time
That was so nice to watch!
Thanks so much!

Winston clearly loves it.
He loves any adventure 👍🏼

Good you was cozy.....it means winter is not out of bounds...

We're off on another winter adventure today (although the weather is mostly rain).
Hope you have a fantastic time in Belgium. Stay warm!

Haha I'm not brave enough to go too far out 😅

Come over to Charente Maritime South West France and explore. No worries regarding road rage here!People are more laidback.
Keep warm and safe
I do plan to explore Europe in the future. I only got my Pod at the beginning of this year, so getting use to it at home in the UK first. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thermostat plug 👍 I have the same kampa heater and use this to control the temperature during the night in my camper!
It's not a Kampa heater. I tried getting a Kampa one but they were out of stock. The one I've got is from Amazon, but I think it's pretty much the same. Either way, your idea is genius. Thanks so much!
LOVE the dog brilliant
Really enjoyed the video you're little dog is sooooo happy 💖🤗💖🐕🐾🐾xxxx
Winston is the best!!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Love just going for a walking around the forest as it just 15 minutes for my home
It’s a beautiful place to get lost in 😇
Thanks for watching my video
Thanks for the tip!
@@Roz.S have a swift base camp, love your videos and enjoy the out doors 😄👍

First time viewer also, I love winter camping it’s a little more work but can be so beautiful also, and I love your comment that you enjoy the campgrounds more with nobody in them, you took the words right out of my mouth, all I need is a good book and my fur baby and a warm camper
Yeah, the only thing I don't like about campsites is the other campers 😂😂😂
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I don't live that far from Delamere Forest about 20 -25 minutes away. Good video.
It's a lovely place. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
How about getting a couple of collapsing tubes (like dryer exhaust tube) to channel the heat from the outlets forward to the end of the bed? Maybe?
That's a good idea. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Lovely quality of life . These vans are a lot cheaper than a vw California for my retirement . Great vid.
