I met Ken Dodd in the early 70s I was seven years old and he had a tickling stick and he tickled me indre my chin at bowler in Heywood in lancashier happy times to never loose God bless sir Ken Dodd yours Alan Johnson from Leicestershire in England.
So, so sad....laughing and crying watching RUclips clips. What a legacy! I know he was 90 but I’m still heartbroken. Proud to be a Scouser like he was. You won’t be able to fit a crumb inside the Cathedral next week. A fitting tribute and what class still shown after ‘they’ waited until the last minute for a knighthood. Taxes! He did so much free for charity causes, the tax man owed him!
How very sad to hear of Sir Ken’s passing, what a genius this man was, he gave us over 60 years of fun and happiness and we miss him immensely, Rest in peace Sir Kenneth and thank you. 😢🇬🇧
One of the very best English comedian/singers...seen him many times and when i feel down i watch his videos...love him...he must be making the Angels laugh now....
He brought HAPPINESS!!! to MILLIONS & MILLIONS of people whether he sung or was telling his wisecracks ( which of course ALWAYS!!!! got the audience practically wetting themselves laughing). I sadly never got to go to a single performance & I VERY DEEPLY REGRET IT!!!!😟. There was ALWAYS in the way every time I said to myself I'll book my ticket. & I always I'm BLOODY WELL JINXED!!! 😠 But, my late dad he was in the town one day ( I was not at this time) & when he got back home he said to me guess what I saw. & I said I dunno 😮. He replied I saw this jag ( car) full on the back seat full of what looked like rubbish. & the next thing the owner turned up & he said to me Guess's who it was I said I dunno My dad said DODDY I thought NO WAY & I smiled. ( at the time tax man wasn't on his back not that I knew of anyway) I don't know if my dad did get a picture of him on a very old camera ( pre digital type). But, I'll never know because like many other things they got STOLEN!!! by my X so called partner WHAT A TOTAL B**** But, if time could go back ( even just 20years or so). I would try to get a seat quite close to the front ( but, certainly not front row as I think he would find something to pick on with me 😀😁). R.I.P DODDY. WE DEEPLY MISS YOU from the many millions you entertained over the years.

For me he was a great singer but a comic genius, and I always prefer him as a stand up comedian as he cheers me up and has me in tears laughing. Comic genius. His voice was incredible though so I can understand why you would prefer that!
