    Gluto was speaking facts about the ranking acola over spargo

    • @grimxdisstracks3178
      @grimxdisstracks3178 10 месяцев назад +9

      I wouldn’t say that. Although Spargo does have the head to head set record on him, even omitting the results, Acola simply had the better head to head against the top players which is shown in his player card. Therefore, acola is the better player when fighting other top players because the likeliness of him getting upset is weak rather than with Spargo! 😃 That’s why he’s number 1.

    Leo Spargo got last at summit and missed top 8 at crown. Acola didn't miss a top 8 all season. So winning Kagaribi doesn't solidify him as #1. His h2h vs Acola doesn't matter since he has worst placings.

    even though he's far from being the best player in the world for me gluto is the best at understanding the game and that plays into him having the best adaptation in the world and it makes him the most likely player to comeback a game even without waft ( it helps but he has shown he could do it without), maybe there are some that I am not aware of that are similar in that aspect, maybe jp players because I don't know the scene as much as the na and eu one.
    I truly believe that if ultimate lasts for like two more years gluto will become the best player in the world at some point or at least enter the conversation

      @@julesm5892I’d agree that as the game goes on i think gluto will only get better. Since he is such a well studied player, the more he plays against people the better he gets against them and you can see that with his recent performances versus Leo and Tweek, he even finally overcame tea recently. There are just a few players he still can’t beat like shuton and sonix but I’m sure with enough time he will eventually find a way, at which point he will definitely be a contender for the best.

    • @henryreturns1397
      @henryreturns1397 10 месяцев назад +4

      Melee would love to have three different algorithms over a small bias panel that literally rewards you for not attending a tournament. If anything , they punish you for over attending or for having "bad head to heads" even if you are consisten. For example , lets say you get to Top 8 all the time and somehow even manage to get Top 2 or Top 3 in a tournament , but because you lose to the Top 1-2 players or lose to players that are good against you , they punish you for having negative head to heads rather than rewarding you your consistency. So they would rather have me been up 1-0 against most top players and barely making it to top 8 lmao.

      the thing about gluto is that it feels like he could win against everybody at any given time and he rarely loses to players ranked under him except for a few demon brackets like maister and bloom, also he definitely didn't get top 10 this season because of attendance, that's the only reason, if he had went to japan during golden week and got both top 8 or even just one which is very likely he would have ranked like 8th over riddles if not more

Your rank is just short hand for you beat alot of players so if that is what you care about that is what rank kind of represents
