Bro, I cannot BELIEVE Gluto won this. It felt like he was losing the entire time. Even when he was winning, it felt like he was losing. Besides the set with Hbox, Gluto has only played game 5 sets. Freaking giving the French Dimension heart attacks with these close calls.

Gluto is so fucking impressive for winning this, peach is a hard ass matchup for wario and someone like mute who has such an insane amount of matchup knowledge and is as good as he is turned the matchup into gluto having to always hit his waft confirms on one of the most patient players in the game

He has a medical condition where his hands can get stiff
hes had medical problems with his hands for a few years now. I dont follow him, but I think I've heard they can stiffen up or become inflamed for no reason.

he has some type of arthritis in his whole body, thats why he was stretching his neck and shoulder all crazy in interviews. basically chronic pain all over his whole body when it flares up.
He said he got woken up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep. His hands were fine during summit.

@@sass_king5576 considering how hard the match up is for Wario, the waft is the only thing that allows to fight back without needing to just be waaaay better than his opponent to get a chance to win otherwise.
Considering how hard those waft actually are to place, I'd say it's bad faith to say that working hard putting the opponent in a position to watch them and get the clutch is cheese when you're whole character is actively balanced by the developers around having that mechanic.
If you take out the waft then also commit to giving the tools to Wario to compensate for that loss of a clutch factor tool in which case it could have looked less like, he was getting outplayed.
Although I perfectly understand that way of thinking when I see Gluto fighting Steve, looking like he is out playing Steve the whole stock then get hit 3 times and die.
Muteace played super well, Gluto played super well too and managed to clutch it out in a super close match.
Thinking that waft are a free and easy cheat mechanic is a delusion, managing to hit those was a show of how well he played.
