Note: if you have a BMW, make sure to park perfectly in between two spots using the same technique. You can use the line that separates the two spots by making sure it's right in the center of your position.

I find reverse parking way easier than going forward because I can use my mirrors and always know where my tires and rear of the car are. Even in 360° camera cars I still use the mirrors cause sometimes the feed gets distorted

when I went through driving school( 4-5 years ago) we watched videos from like the 70s-80s. there was one called buckel man. lol I hope the updated

when I went to drivers ed 17 years ago in the classroom they mainly went over only the road rules and all that. and let the a Tualatin driving instructor teach all the actual driving techniques. so all the skills taught to me on how to drive park and so on was taught by the instructor in the driver's ed car. also where I went they had private driving sessions. not group so it was 1 on 1 with the driving instructor.
Where I went too they did. Guess I got lucky. Sadly when I checked online they are gone now. They were only a small private school. And think all the big franchise drivers ed schools caused it to close down.

It's no fun to use all those driver aides, I have a back up camera and I don't like using it because then you become too reliant on technology and forget the basics.

In the UK, where parking spots are for 40yo minis, a car like the S class wont go straight in without hitting anyone unless the roads like a mile in width. Even if you get it in, you have like 2cm of space to open the door and get out.
Look over your shoulder and aim for the car you are going to park beside. When the car aligned in the middle where you are looking, turn the steering wheel fully. That's it :)

Ethan M alt-k they're not hard if you pay attention in class and watch others drive. Most of it is common sense. As for the driving part, just drive like a safe grandma for 5 minutes and you're fine. Driving is easy as long as you don't get nervous. If you get nervous you'll start making mistakes so always "know" that you got it. And don't get over confident and start driving stupid and dangerous. If you really don't got it, get someone else behind the wheel.

You should always back into a parking spot. It's safer to do since it's more dangerous (because you can't see as well) to go backwards out, than to go backwards in.

What is the approximate outside distance from the parked cars so that i will be save when turning to the inside parking lot ?. Please provide us with some descriptions and sketches if possible.

If I'm backing into somewhere on the left, I pass it and turn sharp right onto an angle just in front of the car on the other side, then turn the wheel all the way to the left look back and use the side mirrors as a guide to the lines. Way easier and super fast too!
I suck at parking nose first unless im right in front of the parking space. But reversing or parallel parking is just my thing. I fly in them spaces :) Got used to it when driving an hightened en lengthened mercedes sprinter for work. And got really good at it when i got my trucking license.
If you care about your car you should be taking at least 2 parking spots
