I think Possession deserves to go higher for one BIG reason: Motorized Patriots. When they’re on your side, they can make a MASSIVE impact against Comstock or Fitzroy’s forces, and they make the final boss MUCH easier. They’re blast resistant, they take a LOT of damage unless you are explicitly hitting their weak spot, their gun is incredibly powerful afterwards; there are just several upsides to fighting with a Motorized Patriot.
I don't know if higher difficulties have something to do with it but the effect never lasted long enough on me to be worth it. Like the guy would literally turn to shoot back, fired like once or twice and the effect was off already.
The big argument for possession is it’s one shot upgrade which is basically free. Always used it on volley gunners. Even if they don’t do anything, they still die in the end and that saves a lot of ammo, especially in 1999 mode. And stalling patriots is good too, until you get shock jockey upgraded. (With the other upgrade costs less salts than undertow, which keeps it relevant in late game)
Decoy makes the Fontaine fight an absolute breeze even on the higher difficulties. Great for distracting turrets and cameras, too. I think it lasts for 10 seconds. Underrated!
It's overpowered imo but rarely talked about, especially in bioshock 2 since enemies take damage when they shoot the decoy.
Insect Swarm level 3 where they turn dead bodies into swarm hives is my go to. Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t a upgraded Peeping Tom make you invisible?
It doesn't cost any salts when you upgrade it to the max.
Cyclone Trap is very effective for ADAM gathering. You can just keep laying them down over and over again and even put other plasmids into them. It deserves more respect. I love putting insect swarm into a Cyclone Trap where you get 2 great plasmids in one.
Like how I am with Undertow, I should practice with it more.
Cyclone trap is far more usefull in bioshock 2,the same with the decoy. Bioshock 1 is mostly about exploring or moving forward, fighting a lot of errant ennemy or small group of 2 or 3. Bioshock 2 have far more defensive situation when you have to hold your ground against multiple big wave and the defensive plasmid really shine in those instances
@@johnspartan2096 I agree. You spend a lot more time gathering ADAM in BS 2. Many people overlook Cyclone Trap and Decoy in 2
@@FloydFp Cyclone trap in 1 sucks. Takes away like half your EVE bar and deals 1/10 of the enemy HP on survivor difficulty, which is the only one that matters. Sonic boom has more damage output and uses less EVE. Also Electrobolt in Bioshock 1 and 2 should be S tier. It literally makes every splicer fight easy mode. You shock them, switch to Crossbow, headshot, 1 shot 1 kill AND you get your crossbow ammo back. Most OP combo in Bioshock1. You can argue, but you get the crossbow only during Fort Frolic? Thats half the game in? Well before that you can Electro Bolt + Wrench + the wrench tonic and you will one shot or 2 shot every splicer if you got max research on them, its literally faster Time to kill than any gun except the grenade launcher. Also you can Animation swap the crossbow by going Gun, plasmid, gun, and when you are on your last shot during a fight with a big daddy, drop a cheeky Electrobolt 3 shot on the daddy, reload while hes stunned and start melting the big daddy again. Decoy, sonic boom and bucking bronco should be all higher on the list. Electrobolt def stronger than incendiary. Buckin bronco is literally a better Shock jokey when dealing with humans, u literally send in the air like 3 ppl and they die in few carbine shots, shock jokey (without counting traps) only stuns 1 enemy. Insect swarm should be lower, unless we are talking about Bioshock 2, were it isnt the best there either, it does nothing. Ice one and electrobolt do what Insect swarm does but better. Hell even incendiary does what IS does but better, since when enemies take fire they stop attacking and they start rattling around tryna turn off the flames, which allows you to kill them easily, all of this while melting their HP away, IS deals no damage. Also enemies on fire will drop in water pots nearby, meaning its an ez Electrobolt kill in the water.
@@IlNamelessKinglI I am talking about Bioshock 2 where ADAM gathering is a central theme. Cyclone Trap is ideal for gathering as you can put down many traps one after another while the Little Sister gathers. There is no sonic boom in BS 2.
What about Gravity Well, Tho?? Even had an acid mod to it! "Oh how they'll scream!"
Actually crazy we haven't seen this yet. also welcome back! and wishing the best for you and your mom.
shock jockey is in A tier for me purely because of the traps. I always found the traps are incredibly useful for setting up in big fights and going ham with charge after they are stunned. other than that I agree
Elctrobolt is my favorite just because i feel like there is water everywhere and being able to stun and drill charge is the best thing to happen in gaming
Charge is my favorite as you can zip around the map and if you have tons of salts you practically invincible until you run out
I feel that Electro Bolt and Shock Jockey’s conductivity in water is a MASSIVE boon that deserves to raise them higher on the tier list.
hypnotizing a big daddy to fight other big daddies is a pretty decent strategy that I use on my play throughs. the big daddy that wins always has next to no health left over making the last daddy standing easy work.
One time in Infinite I used Undertow to knock a Fireman off of Columbia. I regretted that when I remembered that Firemen drop Lockpicks when defeated 🤦
Other than that Undertow is helpful when you're trying to get the "Bon Voyage" Achievement/Trophy
Undertow is a life saver in the last level.
@@johnspartan2096 Cool 😎
I love Incinerate in both bioshock 1 and 2. In one you can light ANYTHING and with the effect of enemies taking a Bunch of damage if they go through land on fire.
In 2 it makes a lot of damage and the sound of the level 3 one when you shower them with it is so cool!
I think Winter Blast is one of the most powerful plasmids for defeating Big Daddies. You can use the shotgun until you run out of ammo, then freeze the Big Daddy and reload. Resume fire once the Big Daddy is defeated. Also, Insect Swarm is S tier
I like much your video thanks :D
I always liked the electro bolt mainly cause I paired it with a wrench smash or big daddy drill or smack in 2. Undertow and bucking bronco were very fun to use for me too.
The good old one, two punch.
to mention with telekinesis, get a gas canister and place rivet traps and throw it at a big daddy is a huge blow
Telekinesis has to be number 1
Wild how I never really used it
Tele is useful? Outside of just 1 thing that teaches you about it
decoy carries survival playthroughs because with even a single security bot, you can just delete big daddies while only using 1 bar of eve to re-deploy decoys, keeping him busy while eating lead from bots, and using no other resources.
bees are crazy because they last super long, seek out enemies, and do more damage than incin on a single cast, to multiple splicers who can't manually extinguish it. sadly, crows are just a heavily-nerfed version of this.
incinerate is very bad in bioshock 1 survival due to its pitiful damage and high cost, but very good in bioshock 2 for its burst damage at level 2 and more so level 3.
bucking bronco when upgraded is completely broken crowd control, freely leading to easy combos like devils kiss, and costing the least amount of eve of any vigor by a good margin.
peeping tom, particularly when modded, is S+ tier and totally trivializes burial at sea pt 2 on the hardest difficulty.
Old man winter is way worse than winter blast due to its cost. fun to hit groups in water, though.
ironsides is fully terrible and not really comparable to return to sender. eve is more precious in BAS pt2 and it's just a waste of a cast when you could and should just disengage, even when it's modded to absorb eve. you're not brawling as elizabeth, you're one-shotting people through invisibility, and disengaging when caught. you don't need shotgun or handcannon ammo at all on 1998.
and you didn't mention gravity well!! I know it wasn't included in this list, but you should still grade it. unless you forgot, hm? it's basically bucking bronco with the enemy-grouping upgrade, but it costs way more. pretty ok, but also super annoying since it sends all of the many hidden resources in rapture computing flying
Hard mode using plasmids and telekinesis does fuck all for me i usually just stick with melee and electricity
I beated Infinite on 1999 with pretty much only murder of crows and devils kiss
GG, good shit!
my favourite plasmid is undertow. It's just fun to use. I used it just to throw enemies away from ships.
Undertow is definitely one that I’ve started to use more recently, because I’ve been struggling through the Blue Ribbon Challenge and a lot of folks recommend that one. I never really bothered to (learn to) use it in the regular game, because it’s the last (or at least one of the last?) Booker gets and by then I was already used to most of the others. Same with Charge.
I loooved Peeping Tom in BaS2, especially with the upgrade where it doesn’t drain if you stay still. I probably would’ve put that one in S-tier for the fun stealth mechanics.
I play 1&2 a lot less, but I’m pretty sure I agree with the ranking of most of those. Telekinesis and Incinerate definitely earned their place up there 😂
I'm starting to learn how to properly use it. It's still weird to me.
the gravity one from b2 dlc was missing
def S tho
I NEVER noticed that possessed enemies were that weaker. I loved Possession on late game, if doesn't cost that much salts and the possesed enemies were basically better, moving decoys that gave me time to reposition and/recover.
It just seems like every time I use Possession on a target, they die in 2 or 3 hits. It's crazy to me.
I don't bother with most of the plasmids. I can do just fine with Electro Bolt, Telekinesis, and Incinerate.
I just like to mess around with them sometimes.
@@TheBioshockHub I have experimented with the others but mostly stick with the 3-4 most useful ones. I do use security bullseye sometimes as it's fun to watch splicers get swarmed by security bots but it's not on my essential list. 0:00
My favorite was sonic boom 😂 I loved pushing back enemies like the thunder gun
I actually think possession is my second favorite vigor from infinite. I use it more to have a guaranteed kill when I’m in a firefight with multiple people. I use it on the most powerful person in the group, create a temporary distraction while I I kill the others (while said possessed person helps), and if the possession wears off before he’s killed; they kill themselves for me. Pretty much carried me through 1999 mode on a lot of playthroughs, always the very first vigors I upgrade in that game.
It's a good ranking but tornado traps almost don't have a limit of use, you can spam AND improve with other plasmids, I would put this on A
Ironsides and return to sender should’ve been combined in Infinite!! What’d you think of my idea about what vigors, tonics, and plasmids will return in BioShock 4? Dang you forgot gravity well from Minerva’s Den.
Unfortunately, this wasn't my Tier List, it was a pre-made one.
@@TheBioshockHub ohh my bad I missed that, if anything it made me think 🤔.
@@ethandornton355 It happened with my characters Tier List as well.
@@TheBioshockHub ohh that’s right I think I do remember that, cause I was thinking to myself what happened to the Minerva’s Den characters.
Remember how in Burial at Sea, Elizabeth lies & says her powers were from a new plasmid called tear, that would be op if it was real allowing you to reach into the Multiverse!
Whoooo big love for you Eric, and yay i love vigpors / plasmids 🥰🥰
Hehehe that one is powerful, but at the same time some caothic! Hate that it takes my bots with my enemies with it!
I only have ever used the Swarm attack in one scenario in the park (collecting the honey) and I just ended up not using it when it didn't slow the splicers unlike electro shock. And in Bioshock 2, I didn't even bother trying it out, or the upgrades for it.
In bioshock 1 it can be fun but it can also go on a passive big daddy so you have to be carefull. In bioshock 2 however, the bees are utterly broken and it trivialize the game, just test it.
you missed out.
Just recently beat infinite on 1999 and murder of crows and devils kiss really carried me. And I remember the return to sender thing for the hand of the prophet from a older video. Definitely helped
Congrats on the 1999 Mode clear!
@@TheBioshockHub thanks man. Definitely was fun. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I started BioShock one on hardest difficulty but it's on back burner for now thanks to Dead Island 2
I personally would have the security one higher, the amount of times I've hacked all the turrets in the room / the security cameras that when a big daddy comes along I can spam it and have it constantly triggering the alarms so I have to use very minimal other equipment, mainly just some zaps of electro bolt to stop the bouncers sprinting in... that said I do agree with the possession vigor, its anoying as I use it A LOT in infinite and do love it to cause distractions but it would be so much better if your possesed characters / turrets had higher health haha.
I second your security bullseye point. But the cool thing is you don't even need turrets or cameras for this. What I do is hack a machine (any machine) and *purposefully* hit a security alarm tile. Then I simply hit the big daddy with the security bulleye, sit back, and wait. Works like a charm every time.
RIP sonic boom
I always though cyclone trap was one of the better plasmids since it ragdolled them and does half a normal splicers health
Charge for handymen is great
There needs to be a handyman action figure!
I think Scout is good cos it's used for the invincibility glitch 👀
Bruh I love cyclone trap its my favourite especially in bioshock 2 when a bruiser charges you bang a one where hes charging and he goes flying away
Yeah, in the first game it's ok; but great in 2 for its two upgrades.
I have a more favorable opinion of Bullseye, on survivor mode it takes out the Big Daddys more efficiently than any other plasmid. Hit a BD in front of a camera and the bots do all the work while you sit back and take pics on the camera.
Security bullseye is underrated and is a secret s plus tier for hard and survivor mod. On fort frollic you can also toss that on a big daddy broke an alarm glass and just watch the show without even being worried.@@robertmurdock1848
In bioshock 2 you can throw splicers with upgraded telekinesis.
BUCKING BRONCO IS GOATED!!!! My last playthrough of infinite it was my main plasmid. It makes enemies way easier to kill
Crows and bees too low for my taste. What you want for high difficulties is cc not damage, your weapons provide the damage, the powers are there to keep you alive and prevent the enemy from killing you and in higher difficulties you die pretty fast, so powers like murder of crows and insect swarm that can create a chain of cc from one single use are insanely powerful.
Wait so if i use rage on big daddies during fights i will do more damage to him?
No, essentially Rage is a bit like Possession. Same as Hypnotize Big Daddy. However with Rage, it'll attack both enemies & you if you get too close.
I had a feeling u was going to put Telekinesis on S tier. LOL But ur missing one more plasmid that SHOULD be on a completely different tier which I like to call, Z tier, the Teleportation Plasmid. LOLOLOL
murder of crows 🔛🔝
putting murder of crows at b tier is a crime
it sucks. it's the coolest but it sucks.
I don’t agree with Possession , when it costs less salts it is very useful , may I remind you that you can use it on a Rocket Launcher guy then he commits suicide ? It’s a free kill plus some damage or luckily a kill on others , name a thing more valuable
The buddy literally dies just after the possession it’s a kill
Decoy is so underrated, sucks against Big Daddies though
If it lasted longer, it would've been incredible.
If your putting peeping tom in c you need to replay burial at sea pt 2 again. You can literally stand infront of an enemy. shoot them in the face with a gun, and go invisable and they cannot find you. Once you get both upgrades for it you can literally do this forever as long as you stand still. Turns the game into a cakewalk. dont belive me replay that DLC with the knowledge enemys are shit at hearing gun shots and that gun shots do more damage if you are unspotted. 2nd playthrough for me was way easier
why waste ammo when a melee one-shots them on any difficulty? save the ammo for the ones with helmets
@@futurfry to get in melee range you have to move in peeping tom which uses eve.If you stay still and just shoot them you can buy ammo for cheaper than eve.
@@craftagiraffe25 no, the crouching land from sky hooks takes care of almost all of the necessary movement. Plus, there’s always eve bottles in every section. Splicers are bullet sponges at higher difficulties too
@@futurfry melee one shots are still effective but eve costs more than ammo does in vendor. And ammo is dropped from enemy's holding guns. And yes splicers are tanks but only of they have spotted you. One shot head shot if you are invisible or unseen
@@craftagiraffe25 they don’t cause eve with modded peeping tom though
Summon Eleanor plasmid has to be S tier, too bad you didn't include all BS2 plasmids.
I would've if this list included them. I'm not sure why it didn't unfortunately.
Why are you not in radio and narration? They could use you on audiobooks.
I never really gave it a thought honestly.
@@TheBioshockHub Your voice is so nice!
Where's Gravity Well?
Unfortunately, the Tier List itself wasn't made by me. It was a Template :/
@@TheBioshockHub Ahh
I always found the security plasmid to be useless, i hack so much, so it doesn't do much for me, and just a waste.
Scout is the worst plasmid which is the worst plasmid to have to get
