My favorite will always be fort frolic. I love when video games use music and atmosphere to enhance their gameplay and this level does it perfectly. Blowing people's heads off and bashing them with a branch while Tchaikovsky plays in the background is surreal.
Another great thing about Fort Frolic is the plaster Spider Splicers. If you go to a hidden Power to The People station and upgrade your weapon, the creepy plaster statues you see everywhere will come to life and attack you. They don't talk nor scream and the only indication that their even around is the sound of plaster creaking.
Great video, Guys! Bioshock is a veritable classic, and it speaks to how amazing 2007 was for gaming that it's only my fourth favorite game of that year (behind Odin Sphere, Super Mario Galaxy, and Trails in the Sky the 3rd). This is my personal ranking: 1. Fort Frolic 2. Medical Pavillion 3. Arcadia 4. Hephaestus 5. Welcome to Rapture 6. Neptune's Bounty 7. Olympus Heights 8. Point Prometheus 9. Apollo Square Fort Frolic is easily my favorite. It serves as a great successor to the Recreation Deck from System Shock 2, and it's the area I most look forward to reaching in each playthrough. Medical Pavillion is the pinnacle of the early game for me. I'm a fan of creepy medical / hospital settings in games (e.g. the Medical levels in each of the System Shock games, Sick Ward from Blood, The Good Doctor from Dishonored 2, Shinjuku Medical Center in SMT: Nocturne), and Medical Pavillion is definitely among the best. Point Prometheus probably would have taken fifth place on its own, but I hate both the Proving Grounds and Fontaine fight, which drag its overall quality down quite a bit in my opinion. At least it wasn't as terrible as the last two levels of System Shock 2. Lol. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!
I think the even worse part of the moral choices is that saving the little sisters gives you gift baskets throughout the game with nice loot. Killing them just isn't worth it when the extra points are minimal. They really should have let you become insanely strong at the cost of your sanity if you do an evil run but you're just SLIGHTLY better early on.
But then it creates an incentive for players to save the little sisters as in-order not to be too overpowered for the majority of the game so they can still have fun
I forgot to ask you this, but have you guys played Ultrakill? It's still in early access (only about 2/3 of it is complete at the moment), but it's an amazing FPS game. Inspired by The Inferno by Dante Alighieri, it sees you venturing through the different layers of Hell, and the combat and aesthetics are incredible. The game uses a DMC-like style system, and it's a ton of fun trying out different techniques to score more style points. Ultrakill also has hands-down the best boss roster I've seen in any FPS, with some of them being on par with those in FromSoft's games. Currently, I've beaten the main game and am over half-way through P-Ranking all of the available levels. I definitely recommend checking it out at some point if you haven't already.
@@Cytonox Yeah, the prelude section and the first six layers are complete, and the game dev has shared some sneak peeks of the seventh layer. It might be a while before the final three layers get released, but I know it will be awesome.
@@Cytonox Cool! I think Act 2 (Layers 4, 5, & 6) is even better than Act 1, and I can't wait to see how Act 3 turns out. If you manage to P-Rank all of the levels in an act (which means getting an S-Rank in style points, while also killing a certain number of enemies and finishing the level in a certain amount of time), you unlock an extra level at the end of the act which houses a super-boss. I fought the super-boss for Act 1 already, and it was outstanding.
Hey, can you rank the bosses of Prototype 1 and 2 from worst to best? Never saw a boss ranking for those 2 so I would like to see that happen. Also, first one here 😁
I liked this game when I played it but honestly I didn’t really see a point in harvesting the kids because I love doing good guy playthroughs and have a bit of a hard mode… then the gifts you get make up for the reduced resources so it’s not even a hard mode. Anyways nice video guys.
I miss em too my friend! Been busy with new releases + the halloween special coming up, but I do have gameplay for mm5 all recorded. Hang in there my friend!
I think Point Prometheus kinda sucks actually. Sure you're cosplaying as a Big Daddy, but the actual level design is pretty meh. Architecturally, you could be anywhere, it's a bog-standard FPS-type level, it doesn't feel like you're in Rapture, and nothing really happens. There's no level boss, and the escort mission, if considered part of it, is awful.

Exactly, that part with the Tchaikovsky music is by far my favorite part of bioshock

That intro got me nostalgic lol hearing the "hey everyone" brought me back
I’m glad you guys covered Bioshock and good job with the video!
i really like that you guys are also ranking levels

Neptune’s Bounty might not have been that significant story wise but I think thematically it was important to show Rapture’s working class.

Bioshock 2 > Bioshock 1
Also you guys should check out the Gargoyles Quest trilogy (Gargoyles Quest 1 and 2, and Demons Crest)
Any plans for a Bioshock 2 levels ranking video?
You can't get to Steinman without going past the shotgun, but the game doesn't force you to pick it up.
No more heroes bosses? One of my favorite underrated game series with great bosses
I’ve covered all 3 games already, love em! (3 slightly less albeit)

WASP FACTORY MENTIONED WOOOOO
bring back the mega man robot master rankings! We, the people NEED 5-11 (minus 7 and 8 cuz they're ugly)
I miss em too my friend! Been busy with new releases + the halloween special coming up, but I do have gameplay for mm5 all recorded. Hang in there my friend!
you're playing with me starting this list off by throwing shade at demons souls 👺
Amazing Ass Video Ya’ll LmAO ……!!!.!..!…! 😅🎉❤😊
