- Well it’s been 4 months since the good ol’ platinum wheel selected BioShock and after I completed that I said I was ready to jump straight into BioShock 2. Yeah time got away from me there but I really want to platinum all 3 BioShock games before the end of the year so I think it’s about time I finally tackled BioShock 2’s platinum journey. So, how was it? Honestly very disappointing!

Awesome vid, Bear Glad to see you stuck it out to the end! I came very close to platinum this on the PlayStation 3 back in the day. Glad to see they ditched the multiplayer trophies in the PS4 version

Huh, ya know i've played Bioshock 2 a ton and I've never even thought to just... shoot the enemies with the trap rivets??? Great Video Bear, sad to hear your experience was tainted by all these issues.
Yeah I didn't know that either, hence why I gave it the benefit of the doubt on my first playthrough but apparently you can do it that way. Really wish I didn't have so many issues but I can confidently say I doubt many others would have the same experience and why I can still recommend the journey!

I loved this game. I had the save issue aswell, what it was is Bioshock 1 takes up the three save spots for the game. So going onto the second you have no free slots left. The double sister at the end was rough tho!! Great video.
I figured out the "can't save game" problem. When I was going to platinum this game, it turned out I had to delete my saves from the 1st game since 1 and 2 are on the same disc for the bioshock collection, it shares the same file.
Man I feel that with the no saving then crashing. Great job and great video as always!

I got the platinum in one playthrough, but besides the big sisters it was pretty simple, however I still got to go get Minerva den's trophies (been way too long since I played minerva's den). The fact that bioshock 1 and 2 share save slots is so annoying. Anyway awesome video man, look forward to your future content

I've platinumed this one and the original BioShock 2, which was a pain because it included multiplayer trophies. I felt like I played online more than single player, such a grind.

I highly recommend Sifu as one to add to the wheel if you haven’t already. It’s the only platinum that I have and I had a great time with it

I use an elgato hd60S + and hook that up to my PS5 and PC
Funny story, I also forgot to delete the savings from the first one and decided to just leave it like that anf play it in one time. Little did I know that half an hour before the end of hardcoremode my game crashed and I had to redo it all again. But the second time it worked Hahahaha. I was sooo angry at that time, but now I find the point very funny to get a plat of one of my Fav games like that very funny 😂
Hindsight is a funny thing because I feel the same way now, made for an interesting story 😂

I had the same thing happen to me in the first Bioshock. It didn't pop up until Olympus Heights. Stopped my playthrough cold in its tracks.
Oh damn mate, it is a run killer. If I didn't need to play through the game again anyway I would've been out 😂
I also had issues with the achievements on bioshock trilogy but i didnt let it spoil my experience, played an extra playthrough on bio 1 and 2 just for achievements 🙃
That fuking save management is really a paid problem. I was already forget about it but when I saw the error msg such drive me back into rage! I almost have to delete everything on Bioshock 1 save file to be able to save the game properly.
That's exactly what I had to do to fix it! Such a pain!
I personally think the first Bioshock is the best, did you know it was the first ever game to be made in HD?

To this day, I haven't been able to replay either Bioshock game because the remasters just crash on any computer I run them on and I don't have the originals anymore. I just can't play FPS games on a controller. I love to be able be accurate with my shots. Additionally, these games have such narrow-ass FOVs on PC that they make me motion sick after a while. The Bioshock series is one of my favorite series, especially in visual design and theme (I'm also a big dystopian Ayn Rand-inspired world fan). It's a shame it is so mired with technical issues.
You should definitely add Armored Core VI to the picker wheel. Been playing it all weekend and I absolutely love the game. I also think it will be a good little challenge for you, albeit a comfortable challenge.
I've heard Armored Core 6 is great, I'll add it to the wheel now!

This game crashed on me multiple times during my run through the achievements, if I had been manually saving more often I could have avoided losing more progress, but I was relying on the level autosaves too much
I just finished the platinum for this game and thankfully i had no issues like yours. I knew about the save glitch before so deleted all my B1 saves.
Honestly this game was absolutrly fantastic and I think i am in the minority who thinks that this game is better than B1. Sure the story is a little weaker and the ambience isnt the same but the combat changes alone more than make up for it and make this a much more enjoyable and fluid experience.
On to minervas den now!

Oh man, I had exactly the same thing happen to me.
I always loved bioshock 2 (though *did* slightly prefer infinite and its DLC's)-but had never played minervas den.
So finally I got it in the collection, and decided to do a full playthrough of the series, DLC included.
I was having a blast, until about 3/4 of the way through minervas den, and the game crashed and wiped all my saves.
I just couldn't bring myself to start again, and to this day have no idea how it ends.
Damn mate that's always such a mood killer. I don't blame you mate 😂
Man the no saving thing was a pain to see but, hey you smashed the plat. 🎉i can't wait for infinite because, the dlc trophys are a nightmare to complete. 😂

Yeah, I had an issue on the Xbox where the rescue all little sisters achievement didn't pop for me. Not the most polished the remaster is some places. Loved the games but defos some technical issues with the collection.

I like to grab as many trophies as possible in as fewer runs as possible so I did the hardest difficulty alongside the no vita chambers died maybe 6 times in the early game in total just save often and then re load the save, literally just need the winter blast and good accuracy with the rivet gone for the head shots and its genuinley not as difficult as it sounds
I did Bioshock 2 on the PS3. The multiplayer was so good!

Yeah, I love Bioshock 2, it's my favourite of the series, I platinumed the collection myself when it came out, honestly with Bioshock Infinite I usually play it on 1999 mode just as standard, it's a very easy game, the only real challenge is Lady Comstock, and that's just because she keeps reviving the enemies.
Mirror's edge Catalyst platinum was fun and just the right level of challenge

I dreaded the beginning hours because of the difficulty. I would run out of bullets so I was forced to melee attack, died, respawn and melee attack until enemies were down.
I don't understand how people say hard difficulty isn't that bad. It sucked big time.
The bug was the only saving grace for me. It felt so satisfying not having to worry about losing health after hours of trial and error.
I managed to do the hard mode and non vita chamber usage in one playthrough. The key is to manually save lots of times.
Edit: How come you couldn't save?
Apparently Bioshock 1 and 2 share a save file and after Bioshock 1 it had taken up all the allocated save space so I couldn't save until I deleted that
Never had issue with both PS3 and PS4 version of Bioshock 2 trophies. Either this is the problem with the PS+ problem or something else.
What I learned was the issue is Bioshock 1 and 2 share a save system. So you need to delete the first games saves to avoid any dramas in the second
@@MayorHairBear I played both games back-to-back on my PS4 PRO like a year ago. No such issue presented in the videos. I did play the DLC for Bioshock 2 but never got all trophies for it. That's why I suspect it's an issue with the PS+ version since I own the disc ver.
One of my worst experiences is plat from Sonic Forces. Although isn't hard but is very boring. I'd rather play Crash for another platinum than Sonic Forces, If you want you can try to get a plat from Sonic Forces.
I'll suss that one out but I'll be honest you definitely sold it as awful well 😂

Im working on Lego city undercover's platinum you should try it on the wheel
all the lego games are relatively simple imo, Lego City's only problem iirc is the collectibles not being shown precisely on the map like other games. Atleast its not Lego Worlds, that game just seems so grindy. Personally would like to platinum every lego game except for one (Lego Rock Band for the PS3, i looked at the trophies and none of that sounds remotely fun), i was even considering picking up a Vita to platinum the three lego games that are handheld exclusive, which all have almost a 50% platinum rate

Ah man Bioshock 2. Couple that with Minerva’s Den and it’s a great game! I almost prefer it over the original. But it’s definitely way better than Infinite imo

That's the thing, I had plenty of save data space. Like gbs worth. The issue I found out later is, you have to delete your BioShock 1 save otherwise it causes BioShock 2 to have issues

Then again, I only just got the collection a few days ago. It's possible in those 7 months since you uploaded this, the PS5 has had enough stability updates that have fewer issues with games.

Forgot to say, sorry the trophies were so frustrating for you buddy. Hopefully when you do infinite, you won't have that problem. Word of caution AVOID clash in the clouds. Some reason the developers just didn't polish that part as good compared to the rest of the collection.
