Every rescue I’ve ever adopted has been a “velcro dog”!! Dogs in general will follow their humans, but I found that rescue dogs will never ever leave your side. It’s like they don’t know if you’ll ever come back! Gotta love dogs!❤
We went to the dog park one morning and I noticed a berner that looked lost. I waited 8 hours to see if anyone would claim him or come back for him. Nope, he was abandoned. I put a note on the bulletin board with my info and took him home. Parker was the best, most well behaved dog I ever had. No one ever called even though I did extensive searching for the schmuck who dumped the dog in a coyote infested area. He would have been killed that night. Bernese mountain dogs are gentle, protective and so loving.. Miss my boy and happy he picked me that day!
There are some unique dogs I have seen on this channel that stand. There's something about his eyes I saw I just can't explain. Sounds like he's her guardian angel in that case I don't mind the stalkation.
We have a “mini” Bernedoodle. At 45#, she thinks she’s a lap dog. She’s sitting by my feet right now. I’d never been aware of how sweet a dog could be until my we rescued her. She sits in front seat when we go to the park and follows me all through the house. We’ve had other sweet dogs, but with Duck, I’ve now become the dog-mommy that I used to make fun of.
@@adamejcpa so true. She brings me joy. Every morning, she sits under the desk, on my feet, while I do my Bible study. I can’t imagine anyone mistreating a dog.
Really should try a swimming vest/ float coat on the berner, the coat in water is heavy, they dont like it. The vest makes them float and you can swim with them

It's taken me awhile to adjust to the fur babies needs and desires, glad I paid attention to my former fur babies miss them like forever but I know there's a fur baby who needs me.
They are such beautiful dogs. When my daughter was 16, we lived in a hospital for nine months because she had leukemia and one of the therapy dogs was a Burmese mountain dog bigger than yours, but so gentle when he would jump up on the bed, he never once stepped on her. He knew exactly what he was doing, and it was so wonderful to watch. Your dog is beautiful.
