The bigger the dog, the bigger the baby it is. Edit (12/13/20): I personally kinda confirm this now since recently my mom bought a cute little female Chihuahua. And lemme tell you, she is such an independent bitch. She may let me cuddle with her but there are times she just wants to be with her own self. Unlike these big doggos who always crave affection from their moms and dads, our chihuahua tends to be a loner sometimes.

It's not just dogs that do this. Animals like geese or ducks and otters are also very affectionate. And believe it or not, my cat is the exact same way, always cuddling and following me around. But this dog is definitely cute. I especially like that he doesn't bark.
It depends on the origin of the Bernese. If they come from Western Europe, most of them have genetic problems that lead to serious diseases. Bernese of Eastern European origin (with the exception of Poland, Hungary), generally do not suffer from these problems (Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania). I have Bernese (always females) for many years and they have lived peacefully up to 12 years and a little more, only one with great sorrow left at the age of seven years due to an error of veterinary diagnosis. Currently one of 14 months old. All are of Russian or Ukrainian origin. I do not know what happens with Bernese of American origin, and if they suffer from the same genetic problems. In any case, it is a lovely breed.

My parents have a cat that will stare directly at me THROUGH a mirror I've never seen a cat before that's smart enough to figure that one out and it can be pretty intimidating since she stares right into your soul lol

My boyfriend and I rescued our cat when he was a kitten from an active construction site. Someone dumped him as they were working on site. He is literally the sweetest cat, and so smart! He alerts us when our food is done. A few times we have had food in the oven without a timer, and each time he cried in the kitchen until we went to see what he was whining about, and he would just be staring at the oven. Sure enough each time it happened the food was perfectly done. It’s wild!

I miss my mountain dog. I grew up with Jake. He was my best friend through life and we literally went through everything together until he passed in 2017 at 14 years old. I miss you buddy. The only dog I know who purred when he was happy, lol
I have 2 Berners named Brin and Bird. They need alot of attention. Both are off leash trained. They are very loyal. You might get annoyed sometimes when they are constantly need attention but they are so PRECIOUS 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Just hug and hold him for Godsake. I have a Bernese too and since the day 1 we teach him to cuddle. You constantly push him away, just holda and hug him, giving food and water is one thing, but giving love another.
My friend has one bernese that likes to push her head into every persons butt as soon as she sees someone along with 4 other dogs and i must say theyre the cuddliest cutest baby bears, if you dont cuddle them they paw your face

We have a 9 month old Berner puppy Khloe. She is exactly like the video what a lover she is. We rescued a Berner 4 yrs ago, Mya was 6 1/2 yrs old. We had Mya 3 1/2 years to 9 1/2 yrs old and last May we lost her to cancer. We needed another Berner. We found a great breeder and got Khloe Sept 28, 2021. What a love she is. 🥰🐾
What a sweetheart he is. When I was a kid we had one that lived 2 blocks down and he would come up everyday to visit us. He was such a wonderful and gentle dog and he really loved kids and snow.
I had a beautiful berner for yrs. Gretchan was the best friend ever. She live for nine years which wasn't enough. They are so awesome, but do have very high rates of cancer. Make sure to go deal with a breeder who has excellent references!!
My family got a Bernese mountain dog, female. She is 19 weeks old and very smart, playful and protective. Luvs to cuddle and follows me around the house. She luvs her squeaky toys.
Our Bernese Aussie mix is 100% this guy. Especially with the morning cuddles. It's cute to see another dog do this. Seems he got mostly Berner genes. He's just a touch smaller, 65lbs instead of 90. Best dog ever!

My uncle used to breed these dogs...and all the ones I have met were super friendly and loveable and my aunt (my uncle's sister) has two of them and they are two of the sweetest dogs ever, well behaved and they both love everyone
My aunt had a bernese mountain dog. I used to get some pillows to lay them on the porch when I wanted to pet her. Everytime she saw me bringing out those pillows she would just drop whatever she was doing in the garden and sprint towards the porch. They truly love affection more than anything. Best family dog. Will get one myself sometime for sure.

I had a bernese mountain dog for 11 years. It’s so true, they need cuddles h24 7/7. Back then I was smoking so I would hide myself in the garden so that she wouldn’t see me but hell those dogs can smell from far away. If you’re not ready to give them constant hugs, don’t get a bernese mountain dog. They need a shit lot a affection it’s so exhausting. Still I don’t regret anything, I grew up with so much love thx to her

My uncle used to breed these dogs...and all the ones I have met were super friendly and loveable and my aunt (my uncle's sister) has two of them and they are two of the sweetest dogs ever, well behaved and they both love everyone

My aunt had a bernese mountain dog. I used to get some pillows to lay them on the porch when I wanted to pet her. Everytime she saw me bringing out those pillows she would just drop whatever she was doing in the garden and sprint towards the porch. They truly love affection more than anything. Best family dog. Will get one myself sometime for sure.

I had a bernese mountain dog for 11 years. It’s so true, they need cuddles h24 7/7. Back then I was smoking so I would hide myself in the garden so that she wouldn’t see me but hell those dogs can smell from far away.
If you’re not ready to give them constant hugs, don’t get a bernese mountain dog. They need a shit lot a affection it’s so exhausting.
Still I don’t regret anything, I grew up with so much love thx to her
