One of the cops said that he had fun beating up on MR. TYRE NICHOLS. This is not about cops needing more training. It’s about what type of people they are hiring.
I didn’t know that one of the officers boasted about that. How very sick! The videos reminded me of how the Nazi brown shirts behaved. Clearly what happened was criminal behavior and unwarranted! You are correct that law enforcement must hire the right person for the job to serve and protect and defend public safety! Character does matter! Those classic television shows like Adam-12, CHIPS, Streets of San Francisco displayed cops with humanity, decency and compassion. Those guys in the video clips were like mafia thugs.
Im 45 and I truly always believed that a good portion of cops were bullied in highschool so give them a badge a gun etc They need to do a better extensive background check on them so these horrible things stop happening to African Americans

The fact that officers been fired so soon, that Feds are investigating, that's charges against police filed, that the police union hasn't made any statement tending to support the officers involved, all while not even a sliver of any video of the incident has been released to the public (usually to sway public opinion to view the perspective of the arresting officer(s), tells me that this was a very bad and serious horrific incident on this young man. May he R.I.P. AND 🙏🏽 up to his family!

That wasn't an MMA event. It was a brutal, savage beating by a gang of thugs.
How horrible and most heartbreaking for any parent to hear that their son was treated like a pinata, a punch bag no less, by law enforcement officers! No amount of wrong doing under supposed DUI can justify the horrific beating and also the disregard he received from all the emergency teams who subsequently attended the scene. The police are role models for a peaceful law abiding society. They are not judges nor executioners.
These five officers deserve the heaviest punishment through due process. Until justice for Tyre Nichols is done, there can be no peace for his family.

Jumped out a car and ran at 2 O'clock in the morning...not a stolen car a friend's car...just ran underage driving and smoking weed..I actually ran home was caught 50ft. From my apartment..one cop held me down with his foot on my chest and while they used Billy clubs..had a fractured jaw..I was so close to home.I too was calling for my mom. Thought I was gonna die...and they too was blk officers.all because they had to run and do their job to catch me..Prayers for the Family.

Personally I was shocked that actions against the five police officers was so quick ,regardless of how horrible their treatment of Tyre Nichols was, but then my aha moment came when I found out the policemen were black!

On the original traffic stop when they drug him out of his car and they asked him to get on his belly and put his hands behind his back and he proceeded to lay on his right side and keep his right hand free while they had his left hand at which they proceeded several more times to tell him to put his hands behind his back and get on his belly in which he refused and got tased twice and at that point he still managed to get up and free his self from five police officers and run and elude them for at least 5 to 10 minutes.
When they caught him he resisted and continued to not comply and at that point they commit to beating the crap out of him.
He already had got his hands on one of those guys guns because I heard him saying in the video.
The officers should not have beat him like they did but had he complied on the original traffic stop he would most likely be alive right now! So let's lay the blame where it needs to be laid And that is on both sides.

They're trying to victim-blame by saying he wasn't a random innocent victim, and it was a traffic-stop and he fled. Uh huh, and?
- First of all, just because it was a traffic stop doesn't mean it was lawful, we've seen countless videos of false traffic-stops. In fact, just a couple of weeks before the Tyre incident, a guy named Cornell was stopped by the exact same cops of the "Scorpion unit" while trying to buy a pizza under false pretenses. 🤦
- Second, even if he had committed a traffic-offense which is ticketable, not jailable, and even if he had fled, since when is that a capital punishment justifying summary-execution in the street without trial? How is FIVE men beating him to death a commensurate response? 🤨 We've seen some videos of people running from cops and surviving.
- Finally, even if the traffic-stop had been valid and even if he had posted some sort of threat, the response was STILL not valid nor legal. Michael Brown was not an innocent victim, he was a violent criminal who had just robbed a store and assaulted the owner, then he tried to take the cop's weapon and tried to attack him. Eyewitnesses (that were _actually there_ and not just his lying friend who was a block away at the time 😒) backed up the cop, in fact, one old _black_ man said he was surprised by Wilson's restraint and that if he had been the cop, he would have shot Brown much sooner. Brown was a criminal and a threat, and yet, Wilson tempered his reactions and only responded with as much force as necessary, and only whenever Brown made a move to attack. In this case, FIVE men knocked Nichols to the ground and wailed on him until he stopped moving and continued long after he was no longer a threat (again, that's assuming he actually _was_ a threat). So no, there is no universe in which the cops can ever even fantasize about hoping to dream of being able to mount a defense. 🙄

No because with a novel vaccine, there are bound to be side effects. The Memphis police chief just said in an interview they have no evidence to substantiate he was driving reckless, they checked the cameras and body cams.
Since when is it acceptable to murder someone on a POSSIBLE outcome? If he was driving like that something like revoking license, driving classes, fine, and/or jail time would have been reasonable. These cops were brutal beasts.
