  • An initial police report filed in the hours after the Tyre Nichols traffic stop suggested he was violent and made claims that were contradicted by video later released by police. CNN’s Ryan Young and CNN chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst John Miller join Victor Blackwell and Alisyn Camerota to discuss these contradictions. #CNN #News

These murderers thought that nobody would look at the sky cam or body cams. They’ve done this before because they were just so comfortable doing it - laughing, making up a false narrative that they all join in on making, the disregard of possible citizens witnessing the attack that aren’t cops, etc.
Just like when serial killers get caught, the always say that it wasn’t their first time because of the “expertise” that they all had in the murder and the coverup.
This isn’t the first time this has happened.

Police can always call you suspect. I used to work 3-midnight in Fremont CA, and would get pulled over weekly on my way home. It was so frequent that I kept a brick in the trunk of my car I'd use to test my brake lights before driving home. I use to also keep extra turn signal & license plate bulbs in my glovebox so they couldn't lie about that either. This female officer pulled me over one night and I politely asked why. She said your brake lights are out. I asked her do you mind if I show you my trunk, and the brick that I keep in there to test my lights before I get into my car EVERY night? B/c this happens to me weekly. I literally just got pulled over 10 minutes ago for the same "infraction." She gave me my ID back and said have a goodnight. I get it, driving at midnight during the week is suspicious but at what point does policing become harassment?

My father was afraid of the police, and he was a white male with a distinguished presence in the community. He was a pathologist and the county coroner, and that meant he had to interface with them a lot. He saw a lot of wrongdoing, and it bothered him. It also made him worry for my sister and I. He always told us to be polite to the police, but to never tell them anything without a lawyer present. He also told us (and this was way back in the 1970's and 80's) that they have a tendency toward violence, and that we should always be as compliant as we could be. After we were adults, he told us that he always worried that rogue cops might do something like what they did to Rodney King. He'd done coroner's reports on both blacks and whites who had been killed under suspicious circumstances by the police where the pathological evidence didn't match up with what the cops said happened. He ruled against them on several occasions, and boy howdy did they ever get even. One officer even had one of his relatives write a book about one of the cases where they painted my dad as being a real villain, by changing fundamental facts about what happened, and not even mentioning that three independent medical investigators had reviewed all the material and had agreed with my father. It went a lot further than smearing his reputation though. He couldn't even drive to work without getting pulled over and harassed. It happened every day. They wouldn't even give him a warning ticket or anything. They'd just stop him, and make him stay there trying to make him late for work. After the first few times he just left for work an hour early, and when a cop would pull him over, he'd sit and read the newspaper while the cop diddled around in his cruiser pretending to run checks and such. He'd say, "It's no skin off of my nose this way. I'd be reading the paper anyway. He's wasting his own time, not mine." It's a good thing the cops never figured out that's what he was doing, otherwise it might have turned violent.
Police misbehavior and violence is not a new thing in this country, but it's something that really needs to stop. A police state is not a free state, especially when it so violently and completely violates one of the most basic freedoms enshrined in our constitution, that being the right to life. As an innocent civilian you have the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Those officers deprived Tyre Nichols' right to life, and hindered his mother's right to the pursuit of happiness. That violation of those most basic rights cannot be allowed to stand if we are to continue to consider ourselves a free nation.
