Aim your anger in the right direction. Get those same city officials who are on tv out of office. Their job is to create laws and get them passed. For as long as we’ve been saying we need reforms, they’ve been in an elected position and have not passed one. But when the Asians get attacked, “WE NEED A BILL” and they pass it.
When things like this happen “we need better training.”
While that’s true as well, they have nothing legally requiring them to. Nothing that binds them nor encourages them to ensure better and safer policing.
And by not burning and all of that, we as a people came together peacefully. So now that we are together, educate each other on that much and switch up the fight.

It's ironic that armed humans are responding to non-violent human activities. The solution seems to be a no brainer to me. Simply send trained individuals to deescalate the situation and administer aid to individuals in crisis. If law enforcement must be present they need to be there purely as a precautionary measure and their weapons need to be holstered.

We need to see change in their hiring practices, evaluation process, the blue code, and in overall policing especially in black & brown communities. Everyone needs to take a lie detector test and psych evaluation. Officer complaints need to be thoroughly investigated with a fine tooth comb with measurable consequences. Funding should be determined by grading of precincts ranked by the community based their corporation and collaboration with the neighborhoods they serve. #JusticeforTyre
