I was on there if it was on Friday the 16th? It was just one of four amazing sailings I did on her whilst she was in the channel, it was a pretty hard bump but as said before nothing particular unusual and had we had westerly winds as strong as the easterly ones where most of our short season, a lot of cruises could have been cancelled.

That's a standard maneuver for the ship to quickly turn around.

The whistle is from the steam car on the jetty.

Normally Waverley goes slightly past piers and reverses back in but there seemed too many boats ahead of her to do that.

Little bumps like that are not uncommon. That's what the fenders and belting are for. There was a strong easterly wind on that day which didn't help!
