Interesting and enjoyable video. I have never seen Waverley in a lock before! I am looking forward to seeing it when it comes down here later in the year.
@ThamesShips thank you for your feedback. I found the whole experience fascinating including the lock. I fell in love with Waverley and am planning another trip. Would love to know more about your experience 🥰
@@RachandGarGo... Thanks. I have been fortunate enough to be able to sail on Waverley a few times and can only agree with everything you say. I always find it a great day out and there are always plenty of sights to see both on board and looking at the scenery.
I remember this going from Penarth to Weston Super Mare. I also knew someone who threw themselves off it and sadly never came back 🫢. Sorry to bring the tone down 🤣
I too remember catching the Waverly from the pier at Penarth in the early 1950s for a trip across to Western Super Mare. I remember the noise of the pistons and the smell of hot oil. At 77 years old and now living in New Zealand I won't be taking another trip!

@ThamesShips couldn’t agree more. Let’s hope she has many years ahead of her 🥰
This is my favourite steam ship ever
This was my first time and I was in awe! Stunning ship 🥰
This looks right up my alley but somehow I'd never heard of it!! Thank you
Neither had I until now and I have since fallen in love with her. Well worth a trip 😍

No way! It was a bit rocky, but not that bad 😫
